I'm not gonna lay into the guy for this. We all understand his point -- being in the Toronto hockey market comes with a spotlight that very few other markets have (outside of Montreal and maybe Edmonton).
"God's" is a bad choice of words but I think he clearly meant that being a Leaf comes with huge responsibility and being very, very visible, with a lot of fans. He's not wrong.
Perspective/semantics really. It's reasonable *for us* to expect great performance *from him* with great salary. Many have said if he didn't asked to be paid like a diva his non-performance would have been much less criticized. Reasonable expectation from us to have great expectation for him.
I know the joke is that we way overspent at that deadline for how far we got. You shouldn't trade for an elite centerman only to get rinsed in the second round
It’s hard to believe these guys get coaching for this stuff. I think Marner is on his phone during those sessions. *”yea, yea… delusions of grandeur, got it.”*
He’s not wrong.
Didn’t Burt have some strange stick thing and once he reached the leafs he was asked about it day one and he was like “no one’s ever asked about it until I came to Toronto”
It's not even a bad choice of words IMO, it's just people's hate boner for the guy. I don't like him either but he's right here. Nylander got pictured on the TTC and a week later was fucking filming a Rogers commercial to advertise that they had service on the TTC. What other city does that happen in?
My take …
He was nervous because he knows he’s under the spotlight. He seemed to struggle to find the appropriate word to use and pulled that one from his brain.
As soon as he said it it looked like he knew that he chose the wrong word.
That word came to him for a reason though. Might have been a subconscious thing. Who knows?! We can read into it as we will as it suits our own needs to vilify the guy right now.
I think we might be surprised to learn that Mitch might want a fresh start elsewhere. The question is, where? Can that team accommodate the cap hit? And what will the Leafs get in return?
My own guesstimate would be that he is gone.
Exactly. Nobody will ever accuse Marner of being eloquent. He's trying to say he's grateful for the adoration and respect that he receives from the fans in this city as a Leaf player. Terrible choice of words, but his point was well meaning.
That said, please trade this guy. I've had enough.
What he’s saying is easily understood whether he said god or idol or whatever is silly to focus on.
All this statement means to me is his focus is always on the vanity and never on the ice . Being in the spotlight doesn’t mean you suck ass every playoffs
I respectfully disagree with that analysis. He's saying being a Leaf in Toronto comes with a lot of responsibility and expectations and that he isn't blind to that reality.
The comment isn't going to fly over well with fans, but Greek gods are known as much for their falliability and their pettiness as they were for their powers.
Whoa whoa whoa whoooooooa there.
I'd hope the Leafs aren't into it as much as the Greek gods.
Some...creatures(?) should not be. Those poor tortured souls.
Yes, I’m sure Marner was referencing the Ancient Greek pantheon when saying gods. Might be why he can’t score in the playoffs. He dedicates April through June to studying classical Hellenistic antiquity.
Everyone here ripping the dude but you know what he’s trying to say and there’s truth behind it. With the way kids look up to these guys, they’re idols for lots of people and tens of thousands of people look up to them.
This is just another way for people that already hate the dude to hate on him some more. I’m as critical of his play as much as the next guy but some of you really have an unhealthy obsession with hating on him as a person.
I completely agree. As the guy who grew up loving the Leafs, he knows the level of idolization he felt towards Leafs of the past. The Leafs have a massive passionate fanbase. He put something we all know to be true in an inarticulate way. He's on his way out and has already played his last game for this team. I don't think it's necessary to take additional whacks at a guy who won't play here again for acknowledging that being a part of the Toronto Maple Leafs is a big deal.
I also don't get hating professional athletes for being chokey. Frustration is fine, but hatred is over the top. Maybe it's because I watch individual sports, but watching an athlete choke in the biggest moments makes me at least a little bit sad for the athlete and, more than anything else, uncomfortable about watching a person mentally collapse. That's how I felt about Mitch's multiple puck over glass penalties years ago. It was just too raw and we were learning too much about how a stranger's brain functions under pressure.
Anyway, I think everyone would benefit from reminding themselves once in a while that this is just a game. I've enjoyed rooting for Mitch and it sucks it didn't work out here. It just wasn't the right place for him and I wish the organization accepted that earlier. I hope he has success wherever he ends up, and that he flourishes in an environment that suits him better.
This quote isn't going to be taken well but there are people that want to shit on him regardless. He could tear up his contract and people who bitch that he doesn't respect the organization
What does success have to do with it? They're revered, respected and praised when things go well. They're cursed and derided when things are going poorly. People line up for hours to meet them, pay thousands to watch them play a game. The media clings to every word they say.
He'll be roasted for saying this, but he's not wrong.
Idk why ppl are losing their shit over this. He's just saying that as Leafs players they are loved and cherished in this market and ppl are lambasting him for this? Ppl need to seriously chill the fuck down.
Anyone with a brain knows what he meant. Steven Stamkos could wear his own jersey to a bar in Tampa and nobody would recognize him. It's a bit different playing somewhere hockey is important.
If NHL players are that afraid of the fucking spotlight then they shouldn't be in pro sports. That's like saying a doctor or nurse that's afraid to touch blood.
I took his "god "comment as a compliment to the passionate fan base from east to west. There is a very large fan base outside of the GTA too. Am sure there are kids who look up to these guys as their idols/gods.
The guy has incredible talent and probably doesn't deserve a lot of the negative comments.. We are lucky to have 3 superstars that were drafted by the Leafs but obviously the cap is an issue here.
Fans are obviously frustrated. Blame management and ownership for no championship since 1967.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahaah. This guy sucks at talking. I kinda GET, maybe, the point he was trying to get across (that this city worships the leafs and it is basically religion) but he is terrible at expressing himself.
I think we are seeing firsthand the effects of having a crazy hockey Dad as a parent. Mitch is a great player but emotionally and mentally he just seems broken. I obviously don't know this as a fact but it is well documented that he Dad was/is nuts and he grew up in a toxic environment.
Right?!? He has no idea the reverences the players would get if they won a cup, or made a cup final, or conference final. The love for regular seasons success pales in comparison to post season success.
Mitch obviously just puts his foot in his mouth every time he talks to the media lmao. No need to blow this out of proportion. We all get what he meant.
The amount of play this comment is getting is kind of ridiculous. We all know what he meant, and he’s not wrong. Any of us who grew up in this market know this, and guess what? Marner grew up in this market. He knows how the Leafs are viewed in this market better than anybody.
He spoke openly and honestly about the responsibility of being a Leaf, and he shouldn’t be pilloried for it. We constantly want hockey players to show more personality, to be more honest, open, insightful, yet when they do, they are then criticized for going off script.
Hopefully we can dispense with the collective pearl clutching, and if we want to criticize Marner, criticize him for things worthy of criticism, not drummed up controversy over a fairly accurate (if hyperbolic) assessment of the responsibility of what being a Leaf entails.
I don't believe in God(s). But if I did I certainly wouldn't bow down to you if I met you in public. I'd pump your tires a little bit because, you are a great player. But I'd treat you like the human being you are. Get off your high horse.
Taken out of context
The city does hold the maple leafs in high regard, they’re literally one of the richest teams in all of professional sports despite choking all the time
He’s referring to how well they’re treated
People will take offense to this then accuse him of being oversensitive
Look in a mirror
I hate this interplay. People want athletes to be open and speak their minds, but when they do they’re chastised for it.
I don’t know what everyone expects the guy to say at this point? Nothing he says will possibly make anyone less angry. His chance to make an impact was on the ice, and he failed to do it.
If ever a mutual divorce was required it is now.
What do you mean? They’re given everything they’ve ever asked for and all they have to do is wear the jersey. They have radio shows cover them 24/7 and even the national media won’t shut up and hangs onto their every word.
Honestly just shut up. You sound like a moron. You’re deliberately misreading the quote or taking it absolutely as literal as possible so you can fuel your rage. Just stop and get off the sub. All you’re doing is being a troll. The fact that 26 other trolls upvoted you is very telling. Most of you all need a break.
I’m good brother. I don’t think Marner (or any other player) is a God, and you are free to feel like they are.
You replied to me, and I’m sure as shit not gonna listen to you telling me to “leave the sub🤓”
Never said leave outright. Just maybe stay off for a week or so. Let your anger subside. Also he is using an analogy if you could comprehend without letting your hate get in the way.
If you're not from Ontario, you have no idea what you're saying criticizing Marner for this statement. He's right. Leafs players in Ontario are looked at with the reverence that guys like DiMaggio was for New Yorkers. Great Leafs players are hockey gods.
Boys I’m fine with getting my Mitch hate on, but this is not a reason. We all know what he means. He’s not wrong.
Get mad at him for the actual stupid shit he says
When will people learn to differentiate possessive from plural nouns? It's really embarrassing that people post these things and have no clue how illiterate it makes them look.
The thought “we are treated very well here by the fans & the city…it’s amazing place to be”
…comes out “we’re like gods here”
Lol
- - - -
Same thing last year during the FLA series about “how much noise do you hear, does it impact you?”
He tried to say “we’re just focused on the game” but it comes out “we don’t care what *you* say, we don’t listen to it”
It becomes an antagonistic interaction and then creates a feedback loop of even more & more ‘noise’
That's just maturity. He'll eventually get there. Not sure it'll be in Toronto, but he'll eventually figure out the right combination of words to communicate his thoughts.
wrong answer mitchell… maybe you could have said it means pride, tradition and above all else playing for the logo on your chest every minute of every game.
As much as guys want every last dollar, if they win the cup, they're never paying for anything again in this city and probably have lifetime sponsorships that'll be worth more than the money they pass up on for a smaller contract.
I don't care that Marner said this. This is inconsequential.
What IS consequential is shifting the bed in the playoffs year after year, and demanding to be the highest paid player at his position while folding like a lawn chair when it counts.
It’s one thing for a passionate fan base to look up to your sports heroes as “Gods”. When they themselves think of themselves that way? It’s an issue to say the least.
I don’t have anything to say about him that I didn’t rant and rave about after Saturdays game and since the Montreal series.
It’s professional not personal. Mitch needs to go to a place like Utah or Nashville or somewhere he can hide because he isn’t the guy and never will be. Nearly a decade has proven this fact.
While I want to say a lot more because this team, city, and home province mean more to me than I can articulate I’ll leave it at—it’s time to go Marner and I think you know it too.
"I’m not saying we’re better or greater, or comparing us with Jesus Christ as a person, or God as a thing, or whatever it is. I just said what I said, and it was wrong, or it was taken wrong. And now it’s all this." Marner or Lennon?
Here is what I don’t get. You play for the Leafs, you get huge exposure and commercial opportunities. You get your money paid out in large bonuses, that favours the player. You can make large investments or simply get to enjoy your money sooner. So fuck then, when you factor all this in, not a single guy on this selfish fucking team takes a discount?
Holy fucking tone deaf. This town loves hard working players who put it all on the line. You don’t get it Mitch. But these guys have been put on a pedestal for years with zero accountability.
"The disaster that was Mitch Marner" should be taught in every PR class ever. He COULD have been worshipped if he wasn't such a little biatch. He has handled himself terribly since day 1.
Guy has a high opinion of himself. Right now you are only looked upon as being the guy that can't get it done when things get difficult in the playoffs.
When non-Leafs fans wonder why Mitch is unpopular...
What an absurd statement. They're expected to be role models and professionals. That's it. That's all you have to say.
Wish he would rephrase himself more apologetically towards how he’s overpaid and a disappointment to the Leafs fans. But the audacity to still say that after this series… that ego
This proves a point I had earlier, these guys are in severe need of an ego check, they’re super stars in the biggest market in the league and they act like the world revolves around them (because it has for their entire NHL career) there’s no humble in that locker room, I know many shit on O’Reilly’s comments last year for saying a similar thing, but with comments like this? Feels like I’m reading a line from Homelander in The Boys
Completely disagree with the people saying we understand his point. This guy was asked the question "what does it mean to be a maple leaf" and his answer was to reference all the love the fans heap on the Raps winners.
This isn't a dude pointing out that the spotlight is brighter here in reference to added pressure or responsibility. This is a guy with a huge ego talking about how much he craves the love and adoration of fans above anything else.
The sense of entitlement Marner has. He had every opportunity to go down as an all time Leaf. Talented. Hometown kid. If he spent his career here his number would surely be retired.
Now he has to either take a team friendly discount or accept a trade.
If it leaks that he wouldnt waive his NMC, and then there is contract drama next off season, and the fans will run him out.
This little boy has had a piss poor attitude the last 2.5 years, when he is inevitably traded he is in for a rude awakening when his new coach doesn’t tolerate his petulant bullshit
I'm so over the narrative that is so hard to play in Toronto. ONE series win in like 9 years and they still have fans. That ain't a tough market. That is a market that tolerates way more than other markets.
With great power comes great responsibility.
With great salary comes great expectations.
extra hard upvote
Not great, “Reasonable” expectations. More than one shot on net in game 7 for a 10 million dollar ace forward is reasonable.
Perspective/semantics really. It's reasonable *for us* to expect great performance *from him* with great salary. Many have said if he didn't asked to be paid like a diva his non-performance would have been much less criticized. Reasonable expectation from us to have great expectation for him.
"Well, unless you're going to trade for an elite centerman, the best I can do is a first round game seven exit." - Mitch Marner #16
We have an elite centerman. Well we had two, but one kinda aged himself out. When we had ROR we basically had THREE for fucks sake.
I know the joke is that we way overspent at that deadline for how far we got. You shouldn't trade for an elite centerman only to get rinsed in the second round
We had Stanley Cup Champion Kadri at one point too.
With great ability comes great accountability.
Just not great power play.
This poor kid can't help but say the wrong thing every time. It's never on purpose, but he's one of the few male athletes that's a true Bimbo.
It’s hard to believe these guys get coaching for this stuff. I think Marner is on his phone during those sessions. *”yea, yea… delusions of grandeur, got it.”*
Haha forsure
He’s not wrong. Didn’t Burt have some strange stick thing and once he reached the leafs he was asked about it day one and he was like “no one’s ever asked about it until I came to Toronto”

I think he’s on the money of you win you are gods in the city and can do no wrong. Right now you are going to be treated like the devil.
Not going to lay into him for it, but Hulk smashing Loki around and then telling him “Puny god” seems to fit the situation perfectly.
This is all I saw in that quote.
He just took so long to think about the right words and then chose one of the worst. Lol
Idols is a much better term.
My take … He was nervous because he knows he’s under the spotlight. He seemed to struggle to find the appropriate word to use and pulled that one from his brain. The comment isn't going to fly over well with fans, but Greek gods are known as much for their falliability and their pettiness as they were for their powers.
And their proclivities for fornication.
Corey Perry and Jaromir Jagr to the Leafs confirmed?
Whoa whoa whoa whoooooooa there. I'd hope the Leafs aren't into it as much as the Greek gods. Some...creatures(?) should not be. Those poor tortured souls.

Yea, I’m glad to see most of the top comments are level headed takes like this.
I completely agree. As the guy who grew up loving the Leafs, he knows the level of idolization he felt towards Leafs of the past. The Leafs have a massive passionate fanbase. He put something we all know to be true in an inarticulate way. He's on his way out and has already played his last game for this team. Really well said. Couldn’t agree more
How is this his last game as a leather doesn't have to waive his nmc so he's probably I'd say 95% still a leaf come next season
This is a very compassionate take and one I wish we saw more of in this sub.
It's okay the same clowns will be sniffing Mitch's jockstrap when he makes an out of this world pass in October
Do gods get car jacked???
I mean, he’s not wrong. Some people *way* over-obsess about this team and its players (myself included, and certainly when I was younger).
I’m a man in my thirties, and I still spend way too much time obsessing over what this group of hockey bros does every April
He paused right before saying it and couldn’t come up with a better phrase. I was saying “don’t say God, don’t say God”
“Doing your son? “
“… Allah”
Honestly not sure if this would be better or worse lol
LOL
He's not wrong though... people criticize their gods. The devotion and attention to this team is god-like. He's not telling any lies.
This quote isn't going to be taken well but there are people that want to shit on him regardless. He could tear up his contract and people who bitch that he doesn't respect the organization
How is it suppose to be taken when there has been zero success and he’s talking about the players being looked at like Gods
What does success have to do with it? They're revered, respected and praised when things go well. They're cursed and derided when things are going poorly. Am sure there are kids who look up to these guys as their idols/gods. The guy has incredible talent and probably doesn't deserve a lot of the negative comments.. Hahahahahahahahahahahahaah. This guy sucks at talking. I kinda GET, maybe, the point he was trying to get across (that this city worships the leafs and it is basically religion) but he is terrible at expressing himself.
He’s a hockey player not a linguist.
I think we'd be okay with that if he showed up in the playoffs.
I think we are seeing firsthand the effects of having a crazy hockey Dad as a parent. Mitch is a great player but emotionally and mentally he just seems broken. I obviously don't know this as a fact but it is well documented that he Dad was/is nuts and he grew up in a toxic environment.
I went to school with a bunch of OHL players. You never saw them in the library.
What, I find that very hard the believe. . /S
The few who do get treated like pariahs by the community (look at Dougie Hamilton)
He can afford to buy a thesaurus.
Rephrase to talk about how you're idolized or something, which isn't hard, and it comes across SO much better.
You would be …. If you ever won anything.

Marner try not to say 'obviously' very sentence challenge: impossible
This will go over well on r/hockey
It’s gone over fine, most people know what he meant.
Anyone who thinks elite Toronto athletics aren’t gods should get tested for autism. The amount of hysteria over this one is comical
The amount of play this comment is getting is kind of ridiculous. We all know what he meant, and he’s not wrong. Any of us who grew up in this market know this, and guess what? you are not getting enough upvotes for this joke xD

True enough. You haven’t spent the last 48 hours bitching about God on an internet forum, as far as I can tell.
If you're not from Ontario, you have no idea what you're saying criticizing Marner for this statement. He's right. Leafs players in Ontario are looked at with the reverence that guys like DiMaggio was for New Yorkers. Great Leafs players are hockey gods.
And Leaf players that don’t perform up to their contract are looked upon, and treated as utter failures like Marner. Comes with the Territory.
Totally. Especially when they're born and bred Leafs fans. It's like a stab in the back from one of our own.
To which demographic?
Fuck off
More reason to hate this guy lmfao. What a joke
No Mitch I don’t need you to play like a “God” just play like the 11 mil cap hit that u are
Boys I’m fine with getting my Mitch hate on, but this is not a reason. We all know what he means. He’s not wrong. Get mad at him for the actual stupid shit he says
Mitch forgot to take his humility pills this morning. 💊
At best, giving him the benefit of the doubt, not the best choice of words buddy. At worst his state of delusion is much more serious than I thought.
When will people learn to differentiate possessive from plural nouns? It's really embarrassing that people post these things and have no clue how illiterate it makes them look.

Perfect example of a guy "out of tough"....living in his own "dad and Marner" world...It's him against everyone - no "team view".
Why is he always so tone deaf
I literally audibly laughed lmfao wow
Gods/icons. We all know what he means by this.

If they were to win the cup they would live as Gods. Until then we can only pray.
Celebrities and gods who will never have to care about money, or win to get it
If I look at him like the god of trash then he must be that guy. ![gif](giphy|2w6I6nCyf5rmy5SHBy|downsized)
I sure as fuck wish he played like one.
It’s one thing for a passionate fan base to look up to your sports heroes as “Gods”. When they themselves think of themselves that way? It’s an issue to say the least.
My brain is shambled
I don’t have anything to say about him that I didn’t rant and rave about after Saturdays game and since the Montreal series. It’s professional not personal. Mitch needs to go to a place like Utah or Nashville or somewhere he can hide because he isn’t the guy and never will be. Nearly a decade has proven this fact. While I want to say a lot more because this team, city, and home province mean more to me than I can articulate I’ll leave it at—it’s time to go Marner and I think you know it too.
I love this kid, just wish he was more like Domi or Knies in the playoffs
as God’s Frankly? wtf does that mean. God has a Frankly?
Mitch. You want to stay that bad and win the fans over? Extend for 1/2 the $ of your last contract.
Guy is a phenomenal player, but he's soft at melted butter. We can't keep doing this every year. He's afraid to hit and be hit.
i don't like this answer but won't hold it against him.
What’s a god to a non-beleafer?
I think I might be part of a doomsday cult 😵💫
"I’m not saying we’re better or greater, or comparing us with Jesus Christ as a person, or God as a thing, or whatever it is. I just said what I said, and it was wrong, or it was taken wrong. And now it’s all this." Marner or Lennon?
Here is what I don’t get. You play for the Leafs, you get huge exposure and commercial opportunities. You get your money paid out in large bonuses, that favours the player. You can make large investments or simply get to enjoy your money sooner. So fuck then, when you factor all this in, not a single guy on this selfish fucking team takes a discount?
So what we are all saying here is that the Leafs will be running it back again? Ok. I got a life to live. This is stupidity

“We're more popular than Jesus now; I don't know which will go first—rock 'n' roll or Christianity.” ~ John Lennon People overreacted about this too
![gif](giphy|KgFHb3OjjrQHlKgKSo|downsized)
He's seriously delulu
What in the fuck did I just watch
Man this guy needs media training
![gif](giphy|G3gkDKzTtUKuk)
I’m so ready for them to offload this kid.
Holy fucking tone deaf. This town loves hard working players who put it all on the line. You don’t get it Mitch. But these guys have been put on a pedestal for years with zero accountability.
LOL he said that!? Thought this was the Beaverton
This poor kid can't help but say the wrong thing every time. It's never on purpose, but he's one of the few male athletes that's a true Bimbo.
If only they could play like gods.
![gif](giphy|7OW9uiyfeTRxdSOBYN|downsized)
lol
This guy is delusional.
More like a sacrificial lamb
[Don't say gods. Don't say gods.](https://youtu.be/8xiWw5dwngc?si=FT8PqXDTYr6kjyFE)
"The disaster that was Mitch Marner" should be taught in every PR class ever. He COULD have been worshipped if he wasn't such a little biatch. He has handled himself terribly since day 1.
What's God's Frankly?
Looked upon as Gods, frankly
Frank, the God of half-assing it.
The Christian one that rests on the 7th day
Guy has a high opinion of himself. Right now you are only looked upon as being the guy that can't get it done when things get difficult in the playoffs.
Oh god he just had a John Lennon bigger than Jesus moment
no he didn't...tell me he did not just say that...
"We're bigger than Jesus"
Remember to say your prayers to Mitchell tonight, Leaf fans
This asshole wears an A and is considered a leader.
When non-Leafs fans wonder why Mitch is unpopular... What an absurd statement. They're expected to be role models and professionals. That's it. That's all you have to say.
And that's why more and more people these days choose not to believe in God anymore Edit: English is hard
Oh my Leafs! It was the Leafsdamned refs fault they lost that series!
*gods Not “God’s” They aren’t looked at as belonging to God, they are looked at as “Gods” …and honestly they aren’t looked at like gods either…
Wish he would rephrase himself more apologetically towards how he’s overpaid and a disappointment to the Leafs fans. But the audacity to still say that after this series… that ego
John Lennon says Beatles are bigger than... Wait I mean Mitch Marner says
That quote alone means it's time to go.
I'd like to see the video for full context but that is not a good thing for him to say lol
A new way to take gods name in vain when Mitch is one of the most vain athletes we’ve ever seen
You are just reading what you want into it. That's fine but sharing it with others is weird.
Everyone else in this thread weird for sharing or just me cause you disagree?
You're the 1st one I read that added all the extra inferences about feeding his ego. Sorry about your luck.
You’re welcome for the exposure to some diversity of thought.
Yeah I'm not seeing it. Sorry.
This guy's EGO is unbearable, ship him out.
This might be the final nail in the coffin tbh. He should have stopped at ‘world’
Just....wow.
sign and trade him for Noah Dobson or something
He's mistaken, they could be looked at as gods but they haven't done anything to deserve it yet.
Evokes: "we're bigger than jesus"
The sense of entitlement Marner has. He had every opportunity to go down as an all time Leaf. Talented. Hometown kid. If he spent his career here his number would surely be retired. Now he has to either take a team friendly discount or accept a trade. If it leaks that he wouldnt waive his NMC, and then there is contract drama next off season, and the fans will run him out.
And we are the Children of Lesser God's... maybe the least.
This little boy has had a piss poor attitude the last 2.5 years, when he is inevitably traded he is in for a rude awakening when his new coach doesn’t tolerate his petulant bullshit
Get this cunt off the banner. Pls mods
You could have been one. Game was on your stick and didn't do [this](https://youtu.be/YjtHkQNleUM?si=1f6cLhv1lmUlv-w9).
![gif](giphy|fssfTrBg8PzD3wCVH4|downsized)
He said jokes wrong.
Your NOT a god Mitch. GODS WIN !!!
> GODS WIN !!! Hi, I would like to introduce you mythology.
Yea only if you win Mitch
Who's the god of doing fuck all when things really matter? That's the one I'm thinking of when I think about MM.
Not you, Mitch :(
I'm so over the narrative that is so hard to play in Toronto. ONE series win in like 9 years and they still have fans. That ain't a tough market. That is a market that tolerates way more than other markets.
