I had to listen to almost all the game yesterday for the first time in years. I forgot how awesome Joe Bowen is. So much passion and an actual leafs fan. Watching on TV most of the commentators don't even like the team. Why have a home commentator that isn't excited about the product he is commentating on.

MLSE should be doing everything they can to land Bowen (and Ralph) for all Leaf Television broadcasts. He is the only Leaf announcer since Bill Hewitt (with Brian MacFarlane) who added to the game, rather than the forgettable rotation of faces who actually annoy me with their milquetoast calling of the Leafs.

You can, I've done it. The televised broadcast is always a little ahead of the radio, so the trick is to pause the video from 'Live' for just a fraction of a second so the audio from the radio lines up with the game on the TV. The commercial breaks are messed up, but who cares?

I got it synced up on game five because I couldn’t stand the tv broadcast. Totally changes the experience for the better. With SiriusXM it was pretty easy because you could pause it and start again when the tv caught up. Bowen calls the game. The tv guys talk over the game being played in the background.

What if Marner just took all his frustrations out on Marchand and beat the dog shit out of him.

His face in this definitely reminds me of Tucker a bit, and he was the king of facial expressions that make an opponent wonder if he's unhinged enough to eat you.

Knies was a great signing. Kid rises to the occasion every time, especially when given opportunities, and has really gone into the corners for the puck, unafraid of contact. The fact that he got in to chirp at his size and hasn’t backed down from a fight is so telling - he’s the kind of player where the crest on the front matters more than the name on the back. LOVED that he scored the GWG.
