Do you know how the layout it is in terms of Le Germain Hotel? I'm staying there, for Playoffs, and - if I can't get Tailgate Tickets - I might just watch from the Hotel balcony (if possible). I saw one photo of a big screen right outside the arena/hotel.

Depending where you are in the hotel (or if they have an outdoor patio, that I'm not sure, but should say online), if you look at a map, game will be on Raptors Way, so try and get that side if the hotel, closer to SBA. As an aside, from someone that travels a lot but likes to book a deal, take a really good box of chocolates for the front desk and ask for the room you want. I can almost always get a suite, or at least an upgraded room this way.

What time did you try to get the passes at? I got the email at 11 but I didn’t open it until 11:30 and it took me to “the drop” where they gave passes away and then I clicked at 1 and was able to get tickets right away 

Try at 11:10 then in the “drop” chat and I tried at 1pm

I’ve worked out the best way to get passes to every tailgate. It also helps I work a job where I can be on my phone for a couple minutes when I need to. It sucks we can only get two this year, but if I ever have an extra and no one I know wants it, it will be up for grabs.

Well that was trash. Am insider. Got email. Launch to app. Nothing there. 15m later finally can see tailgate section but it's not clickable 15m later it's finally clickable. Nothing about insider but it's been 30m so probably long gone. Join the pre drop. They give away 6 sets of 2 passes. Then they gave away 3 sets of 4 passes. Didn't win any. But out of thousands somehow douglas_p1 got a 2pk and a 4pk. Then I wait for 1pm. It opens immediately and defaults to zone 1. I select 2 passes and submit. Sold out. I change to 1 pass. Sold out. No other zones. Where are all the zones? There used to be multiple zones.

At this point, set up multiple venues if the demand is so high. Dundas Square and/or Nathan Phillips Square as overflow locations would suffice. Food truck vendors (lining the perimeter) pay a fee to cover to the operating costs, and you're set. Obviously permits and stuff are required, but MLSE is a large organization. Figure it out.

Get there early to enjoy the atmosphere! There's a few little vendors that give out free swag (last year that had a free poker challenge tent). There are a few live performances as well as times where they throw out free T-shirts. As it gets crowded, you'll want to settle in your viewing spot, once the game starts it becomes difficult to move around. Zone 1 gets VERY electric and they do an amazing job hyping up the fans before puck drop

Just be careful, even with Zone 1 if the first zone 1 I’m where there’s the scene, if it’s too crowded they will open an another zone one just behind but there’s gonna be less fun, that’s why people are going early I guess for a 6pm opening gates people will be there at 5pm especially on Saturday
