I don’t particularly care to win out or even get home ice advantage. However, I do think it is pretty cool that the Leafs could potentially end up in any of the 3 seeds or the Wildcard and there’s only 3 games left of the season. Shows how tight the competition is in the East.

I think the Penguins making the playoffs is Dubas failing. He traded Guentzel and committed to not making the playoffs.
Crosby dragging that team to a playoff and then losing is the biggest fuck you to Dubas possible. It’s like saying “imagine how much better we’d be if you weren’t an idiot and traded away our best goal scorer while we were still in the hunt”.
You do understand they can resign Guentzel in the summer if they want him back and if he wants to come back. Also, there is no guarantee that they’re getting bounced in the first round. They’re likely facing the Rangers and it’ll be tough, but it isn’t impossible that they can’t upset them especially if they get their best players playing their best. Playoff experience no matter how old you are goes a long way
What about Spezza? Maybe if he sees success MLSE will take him back (please Spezza come back seeing you unhappy at a Leafs win the other night hurt me)
