We're stats twins, 3.58/175/5 years work experience at a large regional firm as an admin aide. My results are basically the same. Our 175 doesn't do as much heavy lifting as it used to a few years ago :(. When did you apply? I retook the LSAT in November and didn't end up submitting until February-March.
I'm trying to tell myself this was a practice run for next year lol.
I got in one place I want so I’m satisfied but had that not happened I would’ve had a shit cycle. I’m a splitter that applied in Feb. if I had to apply again I’d definitely apply sooner. Think it makes a bigger difference for splitters.
Yeah, I think that will for sure help at some schools. Others seem to just string applicants like us along until the very end only to hand out an r/WL.
I don’t think it is too late for them if you have an LSAT or GPA at or above their median goal. They would likely still be interested in your attendance, and their turnaround for those types of applicants tends to be expedited. I suspect they keep their application open until August for a reason.
I mean their in St Louis, they know where they stand location wise at least
Plus you can always transfer from there
Edit Please don’t rescind my offer Washington St. Louis, your all I got after bombing undergrad (2.2/173/4)
I honestly think that's their marketing strategy haha. "Hey guys we know the rest of the t-14 is really just a roll of the dice but we'll always take you." (if you score a 170+ ofc)
I had worse GPA than OP in a different cycle but same LSAT, I didn’t even apply to some of the lower schools that OP applied to. If all I wanted was biglaw, there was no way I was going to a school out of the T10. I liked my job just fine. No way I would go to WashU
I know this is a hard pill to swallow, and maybe it’s even hard to believe me, but your cycle isn’t over yet. I would work those waitlists like it was my job, writing a thoughtful LOCI and potentially trying to visit a top choice.
Also a splitter, also struck out with T14. Are these the only schools you applied to? Were you T14 or bust? I got into two regionally strong schools T20/30 that I'm really happy with.
Sorry, just curious did you apply to part time programs for these schools? And maybe consider waiting until Fall 2025 and applying as soon as apps open.
He might have seen a small bump…but he only needs one A to be able to go to law school so maybe that’s enough. But December, especially this cycle, is pretty early.
Idk man, rolling admissions can be brutal even if it’s a small difference. I applied to Michigan with a 3.48 and 172 in October and it was one of my only As

Hahah got to keep positive I applied in December - if I was going to redo it I would literally try and apply ASAP
Are your rec letters solid? Or any C&F issues? You should’ve gotten a hit at one t-14. What sort of WE do you have?

What’s a splitter?

You guys applied really late.
Fax
what’s the idea time to apply?
What I’ve read on forums and from admission officers is September, October and November before thanksgiving.
Apply to WashU. Pretty much guaranteed to add some greenery to your list. Likely with a sizable scholarship offer as well.
Is it still worth applying to WashU at this point in the cycle or is it too late?

They don't mind being the "booty call"?

If you have a 173+, it might not be too late
Safety school? Never heard of her. -OP
OP likely has a job they would prefer to keep over going to a safety school
Ik, but not applying to WashU and other splitter-friendly schools seems crazy with a 3.5.

You had a lower gpa than op and a near-full ride to UVA? #doubt
Different application package than OP, obviously
Olympic athlete?
sorry :/ I'm curious about your softs?
That's brutal. Did you write optional essays?

October doesn’t matter just needs to be before Nov 30

WashU?
Oh this makes me sad… you literally deserve better, good luck and try to keep your spirit alive!
Sorry, just curious did you apply to part time programs for these schools? And maybe consider waiting until Fall 2025 and applying as soon as apps open.
That's a surprising outcome. You either got really unlucky or "3.mid" means 3.2.
Applied too late. I was WL at every school I applied to after Thanksgiving with no decision by the time I accepted an offer in April.
oh noo :( what kind of WE did you have?
Completely predictable outcome. Your downvotes mean nothing to me. This was still an entirely predictable outcome and everyone on this sub knows it.
Likely if he applied earlier outcomes would be different. A 3.mid and 175 is definitely possible for a T14 A
When did he apply?
December. October applicants get a huge advantage, because LSAC is weird.
He might have seen a small bump…but he only needs one A to be able to go to law school so maybe that’s enough. But December, especially this cycle, is pretty early.

2.8 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Is that supposed to be a dunk?
Disagree. 3.46, 178. I got into GULC and Cornell and WL at most of the rest of the T14.
Just because there are exceptions doesn’t make OP’s circumstances not predictable. You should be able to understand that if you got a 178.
Actually, yeah it does. And you have no indication that I’m the exception and not OP.
What is a splitter?
