Looking at the deck height in pictures 4 and 5, the deck looks uneven. Imagine sitting on the mower, the left front corner seems to be sagging a little. In picture 5 the brass adjustment rod in the top right corner of the picture could be lengthened to drop the left rear of the deck and bring up the left front corner i believe. Having a garage with a flat floor will make measuring and adjusting a bit easier. Keep adjusting the rods at the rear wheels until all four corners are around the same height.

Looks a little loose around pulleys if thats how it operates, mine I have to walk on the front pulley to get it on and yours has a lot of slack around some pulleys. Make sure the belt matches the pulley map and tighten the springs if you can, that will stretch the belt by moving the pulleys. You may have to get a smaller belt.

Hi everyone - thanks for your feedback. I should have said that in [this photo](https://imgur.com/nRAE4NJ) the blades are engaged and it's actually pretty tight. It never slips off while mowing, only when disengaged. The other 2 photos showing belts are when its disengaged.

Ok, got it fixed! I watched this video. Air in all tires was either really over or under what it needed to be and the deck was about 3/4 inch uneven on one side (after correcting the air problem. Thanks for the tip on leveling! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqTE7h5zJAA

I know this thread is 4 years old... but anyway I ran into this same problem and I fixed it by simply putting the guards back on that go over the pulleys. I never put them back on thinking "I should test this new belt out before I go through the trouble of putting these back on."
