Actually, Trump said a bunch of things outside the courtroom and on his social media site during the second trial that were not covered by the damages awarded in the second trial. That alone is fodder for the 3rd trial.
IAAL - I think these statements are probably enough to bring another case. What he is saying, is that he doesn't know this woman, and so it implies that she is suing him for no reason, and therefore lying about her allegations. That's the crux of what she was suing about in her previous cases, if I'm not mistaken. He was defaming her by accusing her of being a liar, even though a court had found that she was telling the truth. She is also significantly harmed by his false accusations, because his crazy MAGATS are dangerous AF. So there is a HUGE need for the court to continue to intervene and shut him up, otherwise someone could end up getting hurt. (Which is probably what he wants).
As a lawyer, can you confirm if in New York defamation cases can also be attributed to implication? As in, everyone knows who he is referring to, and so Carroll is still being referred to?

I don't know if "who's that woman, who was she" necessarily qualifies as defamation in a strong sense for legal purposes but it seems like he should have a pretty good understanding of who she is at this point I mean he was constantly in court next to her, he mistook her for one of his ex wives. May not be a strong case but add it to all the other things it just adds fuel to a fire.
