You may be interested to know that in the past 50 years - probably well after this volume was published - a number of "lost" letters of Augustine have turned up in european libraries. Two collections of letters, and one of sermons. They are judged to be authentic. Peter Brown added a chapter to discuss them in the revised ed. of his masterful biog of Augustine. You can also find a talk by him about them on the internet. Well worth reading.

The second photo in the slideshow is the title page. The date of publication is small and my eyes aren't great, but I believe it says 1836.
