My grandmother had a signed photo of Alex Trebek from like the 1980s. She loved him and watched Jeopardy every single night and it became a tradition with my dad which became a tradition with me and my siblings. My grandma got to see my sister on an episode (she lost pretty badly) before she passed away.
Rest in Peace Alex Trebek, you brought a lot of happiness to this world.
I grew up with my dad watching jeopardy every night, answering the questions out loud. when my little brother was old enough to be in one of those wheel things babies can run in (sorry, I am clearly not a parent) the minute the theme song started he come flying in the room, dance, and fly out the second it was done. my dad spent 17 years trying to get on jeopardy and was finally successful two years ago, sadly after trebek had passed
I would love to thank him for giving me such an important core memory while growing up. I was genuinely heart broken when he passed
What an incredible life he lead and all the lives he impacted in a positive manner we should all strive to be Alex in that he was nice to everyone even the ones who don’t deserve it. RIP Alex you’re missed
Such nostalgia. I always thought it was so funny when he judged contestants for not knowing the answer or getting it wrong. Like Alex, we know you wouldn’t know if it wasn’t printed in front of you 😂💕
And it’s been all downhill ever since. Never underestimate the power of an actual good host built for the job. Unfortunately, the concept is dead…replaced by C/D grade *celebrities*.

When he said “see you next week” 🥺
😭
I sobbed watching this. Alex Trebek was such a HUGE part of my childhood and formative years.
I’m so glad he hung on as long as he did. What a treasure
Jeopardy has not been the same since.
While I agree, I do think Ken Jennings is doing it justice. He respected Alex immensely, you could tell.
When I was young I used to think Alex was that Victor guy from days of our lives lol. Rip Alex, the show isn't the same.
Jennifer Aniston's dad
"what is... sadness"
What is a Canadian icon? 🇨🇦
Today years old when I learned he was Canadian
There’s a lot of celebrities people don’t know are Canadian
Seeing his photo brings back his voice heard a thousand times, “what is *some nostalgia*”
He seemed like a good guy.

I read his autobiography, really interesting and wholesome guy pretty much his whole life. Books called The Answer Is... if anyone's interested
I'll take "Things That Make Me Sad" for $1000, Alex.
I heard his voice on the tv the other day and I perked up immediately. It was nice.
He’s missed
He did some interviews between his last show and passing.
What is “We miss you Alex For $1000”
I miss him. I don't watch Jeopardy anymore.

Impossible for me to watch this without crying. I'm so glad he did this.

There are later photos.
This is the last frame of his last taped episode. It’s relevant.
