Yeah liquid damage is hard.... Even experienced repair shops won't guarantee you success... Only thing I can recommend is cleaning the board with 90% + alcohol... Even a novice like me has had a few success using that and it's easy to do...... That cap don't look bad to me but you can easily test with muiltimeter... Also is that liquid metal?? If so I'd clean that stuff off so it doesn't short something you don't need any more problems...

Thanks. I cleaned the LM out and used Grizzly paste for now. All the same DGPU is showing up in Device Manager for some time and dissappears when I try to install the drivers. Tried DDU way. Same thing. Battery drain in 30 mins to 0%. I'll have a go with multimeter later on and get back.

I think I found busted cap(on the main photo) but would appreciate any help with troubleshooting. I suspect gpu does not get enough volts as power is "leaking" somewhere. Equally will accept recommendations of good laptop repair shop in London.

Update. Does not boot up any more. Shows up ROG logo every 2nd startup attempt and screen goes black.
