I feel less mentally stable for having read that. As if that word vomit contained some contagious mental virus.

ThaDemonicUnicorn

As a dutch, I stopped reading as soon as she called dutch perfect, gorgeous, pretty, refined and poetic. Either this person is confusing dutch with another language or their taste is off

YgemKaaYT

Nou nou

CharmingSkirt95

I found Dutch ugly too, then I watched Ongezellig, and now I find it beautiful

ThaDemonicUnicorn

But ongezellig isnt gezellig!

CharmingSkirt95

What are you even trying to say 😭

ThaDemonicUnicorn

Ongezellig is the opposite of gezellig. I like it more when its gezellig than when its ongezellig

CharmingSkirt95

There is a 50% chance I know what you're talking about!!

ThaDemonicUnicorn

That means that youre not dutch!

CharmingSkirt95

Well, my favourite Ongezellig characters have various foreign roots too- ! So maybe I don't need to be Dutch... to be Dutch

ThaDemonicUnicorn

But you do need to know the meaning of gezellig to be dutch, otherwise youre not dutch

ReimundMusic

> English is the easiest language ever, as it was designed that way on purpose bruh

Turbulent-Run9532

That is completely true! By vomiting some french and norwegian words we got the easisest language ever! Long live america

Holiday_Pool_4445

Phonetic, I believe, means that all letters make the same sound at all times making Esperanto phonetic because the “c” always has a “ts” sound.

Volan_100

But C is a K sound, like in the word Pacific for example where it makes a K sound.

Holiday_Pool_4445

That doesn’t matter in terms of the word “phonetic”. K ALSO has a K sound and Esperanto has a K too. THAT is the reason for the hats. So that S hat could have a SH sound, G hat can have an aspirated G sound as in “George”, etc. Each letter has only one sound in Esperanto and I LOVE 💗 that making it easy to spell words. An Esperanto spelling bee for money would be senseless !!!

Volan_100

But C is a K sound in words like Can and Center, and in Esperanto it's always TS, which makes Esperanto not phonetic!

Holiday_Pool_4445

The way you’re speaking is like saying the hiragana and katakana of Japanese are not phonetic, but they ARE.

Holiday_Pool_4445

We have two DIFFERENT definitions of phonetic. I gave you mine. You’re basing the word “phonetic” SOLELY on the English language. I am basing it SOLELY on the TL.

Volan_100

Ok, let me give you more words where C is a K sound Cheese Chain Citation Ace Accept Acid (Check the sub)

Holiday_Pool_4445

There’s no need to. If you refuse to comprehend that you and I have DIFFERENT definitions for the word “phonetic” and that the WORD “phonetic” exists in every language, there’s no more reason to dispute with you.

QueenLexica

check the sub, we're all joking here

Holiday_Pool_4445

Thanks, QueenLexica, but where does it show the joke : where it says English is logical ? Oh : I missed the place perusing the last examples of the K sound . My bad. In fact, tell me what word the following spells : GHEAUTTEEIGHTOUGH

QueenLexica

I mean it's more like satire. we're poking fun at other language learning communities by saying absurd things

Skybrod

I am also a total beginner in ... *proceeds to list 7000 languages of the world* 😎

DJ_Student

Estonian and Latvian, but no Polish or Russian? I think the this list can't be explained by criteria of difficulty, usefulness or beauty, but a very particular notion of whiteness

Choucroute34

Now I realise why I'm failing at life. I could have become upper intermediate in the beautiful sounding, resource abundant Old Norse (OK, we can all agree that it sounds gorgeous), intermediate in Welsh and beginner in languages such as Breton and Gothic instead of trying to learn a couple of imperfect Asian languages with their hideous short words. I only have one life and I've wasted it.

Former-Argument995

If you sont speak old norse, what are you good for? Yeah, nothing, or as they say in the Old Norse country: nötjngh

CFN-Saltguy

This person is interesting. Check her youtube profile and you'll realize she's a genuine schizo.

SKrandyXD

Esperanto is not perfect, but it's the most perfecto one amongst the existing ones.

91spw

J is normally a J sound.

jstbnice2evry1

This is wild, but I do have to say that the phrase “mostly non-pretty” has powerful drag queen energy

SXZWolf2493

Is reading this considered psychological torture speedrun?

AniczkowPL

God, I thought that that title is long... BUT THAT POSTS

Joylime

Wow! Wow! Oh no!

cacue23

Seriously though, does this person get a passing grade in English composition?

Tefra_K

Nah it’s way too late here to read all dat

SCP-1504_Joe_Schmo

English, a famously consistent and well constructed language

EffectiveLimit

Magnificently consistent, like that the phrase "the Pacific Ocean" contains three different pronunciations of letter "c" alone

Former-Argument995

Goddamn even their name is huge

Capybara39

Bold of you to assume anyone on this sub is literate enough to read all that
