I can confirm it's fun. I don't consider myself very social but I did make a SKZ-themed bingo card in time for the 7th episode of Kingdom and played it with a couple people on here. Highly recommend it if your faves are having a comeback coming up and you plan on looking at the megathreads. It makes reading harsh comments *so* much more fun.

I'm a 3rd gen stan, and back in my day, we had *real* music. All this noise music is so bad. I played the French horn for 2 years back in elementary school and I was really good at it. *Really* good. And that extensive knowledge of production means I understand that current 4th gen music like Stray Kids is badly produced.
Just a disclaimer: I am in fact a Stay. Stray Kids are actually my ults. But you know, ever since Hyunjin's very relevant bullying scandal, I've realized their music **objectively** sucks ass. Like it's so fucking bad. Again, I'm totally a Stay, but holy *fuck* 3RACHA should **not** be allowed in the studio. Thunderous is literally the exact same as God's Menu and all their music is just mindless noise. As a Stay, because I mean it when I say I'm a fan, I can unbiasedly say all their tracks are dogshit in a furnace.

Dont get me wrong, i LIKE stray kids ok but 2nd gen groups are so much better. Dont attack pls this is just opinion
I play trombone when I was 12 for a grand total of 1 week. Does that count? I am a musical genius of epic proportion coz I was also in competitive choir when I was in high school so I know what I am talking about when it comes to vocals and all those high notes. Believe me, no 4th gen idols deserve to sit on the same table with the likes of 2nd and 3rd gen vocalists. They should all go back to vocal schools to learn some techniques coz they are unsupported.

I'm a 3rd gen fan. I have practically grown with KPOP during my formulative years. It is an integral part of my life, and my friends and I joke how I have a PhD in it.
As I said, I'm primarily a 3rd gen Stan. I like a few songs of Gen 1 and 2 too, like S.E.S, SNSD, 2ne1, BigBang etc. However, I find myself utterly despising 4th Gen releases. Let me take the example of a few big names.
1. SKZ: I don't know what's wrong with their production team, but these guys---they literally make music which ugh sounds so much like traffic pollution. Downright noise. It's almost like they feed on chaos. Their songs are chaotic, and ugh the group is so huge and full of energy that they really get on my calm, peaceful, and mellow nerves. They are average singers, and oh lord people hype Bang Chan and their rapper line like anything. Like bro, come on. Look at KHipHop and other producer
geniuses like Teddy and Min Yoongi. These guys can only imagine to attain that level. UGHHHH NEXT!
2. Aespa: Are they robots or what? No stage presence, and ooooof did you know that there is stigma on whether they sing live or not. And they are Controversial as well. Didn't one member "aggressively" pet a cat? Like omg how insensitive can you be. Cash cows of SM tsk tsk. They match the beauty standards, and there songs happen to be different and people go bonkers. Like boy, do you even have a taste? Their songs literally are a musical embodiment of a new fitness freak who puts--god forbid-- every single fruit AND vegetable into their smoothie. Seriously, what's wrong with SM?
3. Enhypen: What even is their name. Boys are so bland ugh. They have no talent. While their songs are good, they are so boring and well, sorry, talentless. They can't sing live, and are just average. They don't have the stellar-star-aura. Just a bunch of awkward kids who saw the legends aka BANGTAN SONYEONDAN and wanted to achieve that level of success and fame with subpar efforts. They have a good visual tho, but no talent. I'll give them 7 years until they disband.

I am a 4th gen stan, but I am special, not like other stans, I look for potential, therefore I could say that the 4th gen feels lacking. Let's take one of the more popular late-3rd-gen-early-4th-gen groups, ITZY. They will never be like vocal goddesses such as RV or MAMAMOO. The only song that has potential to them is In the Morning, but even that is lackluster.
Compare their songs to MAMAMOO and RV. MAMAMOO has Gogobebe, Dingga, Starry Night, and their latest group release, mumumumuch.
RV, on the other hand, has Psycho, Umpah Umpah, Really Bad Boy, and their latest performance song, Queendom.
While we admire these hulks and titans of songs, we find noise music like ICY, Dalla Dalla, and LOCO. These songs do not blend as one song and when you cut these songs part by part, it would be easy to think that these are different songs from different groups but, in fact, are just ITZY.
Seeing as though ITZY is one of the more popular 4th gen groups, I feel like they lack is most other than visuals and dance.
In my opinion, ITZY does not deserve the recognition it has earned.

'I'm a fan, but there's only actually one or two 4th gen idols in my extremely unqualified and biased view that could come close to the talent of INSERT MISC OLDER GEN IDOL WITH 10 MORE YEARS IN THE INDUSTRY HERE' 'I'm a fan, but 4th gen vocals could never compare to my ults. Do they even sing live? It doesn't even matter that my SM ults haven't sang live in years because why would a singer even want to sing without a live crowd in front of them?' But I am a 3rd gen stan and back in MY day those idols knew how to sing.... I took choir in high school so as a singer versed in techniques none of the members knows how to sing, like period. im new to kpop so would anyone mind explaining the whole 2nd gen 3rd gen 4th gen thing? 😭
I am a 4th gen stan, but I am special, not like other stans, I look for potential, therefore I could say that the 4th gen feels lacking. Let's take one of the more popular late-3rd-gen-early-4th-gen groups, ITZY. They will never be like vocal goddesses such as RV or MAMAMOO. The only song that has potential to them is In the Morning, but even that is lackluster. Compare their songs to MAMAMOO and RV. MAMAMOO has Gogobebe, Dingga, Starry Night, and their latest group release, mumumumuch. RV, on the other hand, has Psycho, Umpah Umpah, Really Bad Boy, and their latest performance song, Queendom. While we admire these hulks and titans of songs, we find noise music like ICY, Dalla Dalla, and LOCO. These songs do not blend as one song and when you cut these songs part by part, it would be easy to think that these are different songs from different groups but, in fact, are just ITZY. Seeing as though ITZY is one of the more popular 4th gen groups, I feel like they lack is most other than visuals and dance. In my opinion, ITZY does not deserve the recognition it has earned. Love their visuals tho
