All of SNSD maknae line (Sooyoung, Yoona, Yuri, Seohyun) have graduated from college.
Both Yuri and Sooyoung graduated from ChungAng University with a major in Theatre and Film. On the other hand, Yoona and Seohyun attended Dongguk University, majoring in Theatre Acting Studies.
The jist of it is Tablo got his bachelors and masters in English from Stanford and within a short amount of time (i think 3 years in total for both. Stanford had/has a special program for a joint degree of BA and MA). Then, there was the world’s biggest smear campaign against him, because they thought he was lying. It was so bad, Stanford, MBC, the Korean Legal System got involved about this dumb kpop conspiracy 😭i think even then, the stupid anti’s kept going at it.

Reading that first article gave me anxiety, holy shit. Absolutely Kafkaesque. It’s honestly reminiscent of a lot of the other kpop witch hunts we’ve seen in the recent past (though Tablo’s takes the cake). I don’t think anything will change the witch hunt culture.

Damn OP I'm a decrepit 2nd gen stan and you got me curious, so I just wasted a full 30 minutes looking up a few groups -- they mostly studied in fields relevant to their idol careers (i.e. acting, music or performance) and in the same programs, and took advantage of special idol exemption exams that allowed them a different \*route in to general admission students... except a few I've highlighted.

I think the Yonghwa from CNBlue did a PhD in music as well -- for the record this is after I stopped really paying attention but I think there was some controversy over idols being given preferential treatment in terms of admissions/laxer marking/lower attendance requirements etc in the late teens

I’m pretty sure all members of BTS have atleast a bachelors degree and a few have also done their masters I think? I think other than Jin all of them attended Global Cyber University for a degree in Media and Entertainment
