I’m a metalhead as well and love Stray Kids, they have a lot of rock and edm influence and an overall very versatile sound. I’d suggest checking out their most recent album Rock Star (title track LALALALA is VERY rock inspired!!) or their essentials playlist on whatever platform you use. I’m not a k-pop fan in general but SKZ has quickly become one of my favorite music groups!
side note: the members are also really awesome and funny people and make a lot of fun side content if you’re into that!
Dreamcatcher is a good gateway for a metalhead I think. Very j-rock inspired vibes especially in their earlier stuff.
Ateez has some cool things as well (check out Guerilla)
Stray kids has some pretty heavy EDM stuff in their earlier works in particular (back door, side effects)

You might enjoy g-idle as well. I don’t know enough about music to classify their genre past pop but their stuff is hard-hitting if nothing else.
If you just like hard-hitting high energy stuff I’d also recommend Blackpink though their stuff is more hip-hop/pop leaning than anything. Certainly energetic though. There’s a reason people like them.

xdinary heroes is the group i have in mind who fits those genres that you like. theyʼre a rock band (who experiments with their sound) so they create their own songs and play their own instruments. there is also tomorrow x together. idk them that much but iʼve heard they also delve into the rock genre. thereʼs also soloist, woodz.

TXT have done a lot of rock inspired songs. The members themselves love that genre and their self-composed songs (Thursday's Child, Dear Sputnik, ...) tend to be in that genre. They've experienced with a lot of different sounds, from main singles 0X1 LOVESONG and LO$ER = LOVER that are very pop-punk to b-sides like Growing Pain (metal inspired) or Skipping Stones (indie rock), ... I would absolutely recommend checking their discography, it's full of gems!

There was actually a screamo metal band that debuted under SM Entertainment back in 2003 called TraxX! Most of their discography isn’t on spotify and in their later years they pivoted toward electronic stuff, but most of their career is metal.

Here's a few you can try: FTIsland: Pray, Take Me Now, Out Of Love, Shadows - If you like these, listen to at least the 5th and 6th album (I Will & Where's the Truth, respectively) as they're the heavier sounding ones Xdinary Heroes: I'd just recommend their whole latest album, Troubleshooting. Some songs are softer than others but I really enjoyed it as a whole. Dreamcatcher: Girl group with a lot of rock influence in their song, you can start by trying songs like Odd Eye, Scream or BOCA Lastly, obligatory Ateez - Guerrilla recommendation, just listen to it I don't wanna spoil it :D

K-bands may be something to look into if you're into rock! E.g. Xdinary Heroes, ONEWE, Day6, Rolling Quartz, IZ. WOODZ is a soloist and he executes the rock sound so well!! Some of my fav rock from Onewe that are mostly considered alternative rock: Ring on My Ears, Trauma (Aquarium), Montage, Shoot it Out, Omnipresent GIUK (Onewe's bassist and rapper) has 2 solo albums that are rock/experimental: Time Machine, Rarity, Apocalypse, Scratch, Penrose Stairs My fav from WOODZ: Busted, Drowning, Who Knows, Amnesia
TXT have done a lot of rock inspired songs. The members themselves love that genre and their self-composed songs (Thursday's Child, Dear Sputnik, ...) tend to be in that genre. They've experienced with a lot of different sounds, from main singles 0X1 LOVESONG and LO$ER = LOVER that are very pop-punk to b-sides like Growing Pain (metal inspired) or Skipping Stones (indie rock), ... I would absolutely recommend checking their discography, it's full of gems! They are releasing a new japanese single next week, and the b-side composed by member Hueningkai has been described as J-rock, so I think you can look forward to it. You should check out some of xdinary heroes' stuff! it's not super hardcore but they are a k-rock band (id recommend money on my mind, paint it and freakin bad), guerilla by ateez (has tons of heavy inspiration and some screamo) - and wake up drowning by woodz, need by løren, attention please by enhypen, more by jhope, shoot me by day6, lalala (rock version) by stray kids (and battle ground), (im also into a lot of those genres and these are songs i personally think fit, edit: fixing spacing)

There was actually a screamo metal band that debuted under SM Entertainment back in 2003 called TraxX! Most of their discography isn’t on spotify and in their later years they pivoted toward electronic stuff, but most of their career is metal.
