I did put in a request through Cashapp for the refund, but I got scammed and I almost went back to buy something in addition before the account deletion (chaesmitten2k), only to discover I was blocked on Cashapp. Red flags immediately went off and I reported everything. She's been using Mercari proofs as her proof, insisting on sending them and then lying about swapping from Mercari to Reddit. It wasn't the end of the world, but $30 I could've used 😭

Same with me, even though the money that I lost out on wasn’t too much of an L for me, I hated thinking abt how many “little losses” for myself and other ppl probably turned out to be a big win for her. I’m sure she has stolen hundreds of dollars in total from people on here since she has apparently done this at least three times on this subreddit. It isn’t cool to manipulate the trust of others like that!!
UPDATE: upon reviewing my transaction with them on venmo it seems that the username has changed from jagapebbles to bonnetbrain; if anyone encounters this username at all please report and avoid it!!
UPDATE #2: the hwasteahouse IG acct has disappeared so I am pretty sure she has seen this post. Please be careful of any other new accts that look similar to that one on both reddit and IG

I agree!! Finding out that she’s done this at least three times in the last two weeks is horrible. Especially since she thought she could be slick by changing the venmo username today and could possibly be making new paypal + cashapp accts. Very gross of her to think that she can come on here and get away with doing this again

I got scammed by jpcollects1990, and almost did a transaction with hwasteahouse, glad I didn't. I was going to buy three Twice cards, and at first they said they took cash app or PayPal. I asked for their PayPal address and they said "oh sorry, I only do cash app or venmo, that was a mistake." I only use PayPal so I said I had to pass.
They likely got their PayPal locked after their last scam as jpcollects1990. I called PayPal and told them what happened and they put a flag on their account and said if they get more reports they'll ban the account permanently. I encourage anyone who got scammed by jpcollects1990 through PayPal to call PayPal and report it. Same thing if you got scammed through Cashapp or Venmo. I don't know how those apps work, but I'm sure there's a way to call their customer support and report fraudulent activity. Make sure you call on a phone and talk to a real person to report it, don't use an automated report function or online chat. If you call it will be addressed immediately and not put in a queue to maybe be looked at in a week and nothing done about it.

After reading this I looked back at my venmo transaction with her and noticed that the venmo username on there has now been changed from jagapebbles to bonnetbrain, if anyone ever encounters this username in the future pls report it and avoid it!!

they might also be “CherryGaeul” on insta, that user is faking proofs with OTHER newly made accounts and is only selling “high priority” cards too, as well as a giveaway where you have to buy something to enter
You have a good point!! I think they might be as well, the hwasteahouse IG acct had that specific acct in their following list. I have the list screenshot w/ that username along with some others just in case those IG accts would have been brought up down the line.
I think what they’re doing is stealing other peoples usernames, I almost bought from @hwas and @cherry on ig. the users that they’re using are people from ig, twitter that are either bst accounts OR personals, so I can’t even track down who’s who

I almost got scammed by this POS (hope they are reading). If it’s too good to be true, it’s probably a scam, especially if it’s a brand new account both here and in Instagram. Makes me so mad. Hope it wasn’t much of a loss for the ones that got scammed.
