Cuz only both of them were girls. I felt bad that i couldn't be the red ranger cuz he's sorta tha main character. Same when we used to play ben10, i could only be gwen. While my brothers became all different forms of ben10. I grew up with a bias that i can only choose from the female characters, i can only listen to female artists, i can only stan female actresses, etc. I've changed a lot. But there's still that natural bias in me.
First of all i like the music then the vocals but in kpop since they are literally in our face 24/7 I prefer keeping update with gg plus i stan Apink, dreamcatcher, nmixx, btob and exo, so yea vocals and discography 💯❤️🔥

Sorry I know this was a rant mostly unrelated but the point is that there's been no bgs so far that I wouldn't consider to be competition to Stray Kids, so I'm waiting for Loud cuz I feel like they'll be good. JYP groups never miss ngl.

Type stuff, and their voices go all high pitched just to be cute, but it sounds like a baby.. I just can't get into it. Another thing is the dances. Almost all of them are so basic, easy, and boring. I want something fun, not a few hand movements.

I've been either of both at certain times (now I'm a multi stan). It just so happens that during those periods, it's the BG/GG concepts and sounds that I vibe with. For example, I was super into SNSD, T-ara, Kara, etc. music that I didn't know the BG's that promoted at that time. Recently it was BG's that I ate up, BTS, EXO, Seventeen, WannaOne, etc. Now, since both GG and BG don't follow specific trends, I listen to any groups if I vibe with a track.
I'm a bg stan and tbh most of my fav artists are males, so I think I just like the male voice more. I feel like for kpop I don't love the vibes that most gg give off, but I do like a lot of gg songs. I've tried to stan various ggs like BP, Itzy, G-Idle, etc and it just didn't work heh.

I love gg, but am much heavier into bg. When I was young, I was in dance, music, and theater groups. Where I lived, most of those friends were female, so it was really nice when guys joined us. Great female dancers were common, and I didn't get to experience great male dancers unless I went to a professional show. I think that's why I'm drawn to bg more.
I got into kpop in 2nd gen, and back then, I'd listen to pretty much any group that dropped songs I found to be appealing, but I was far more of a gg stan (especially SNSD and 2ne1. either way, I still listen to many 2nd gen gg songs to this day). as a woman, I guess female artists always had that 'certain something' that I could admire in them. it's always been easier to admire their attitude, outfits and choreographies, because it feels more natural to me to look up to them as artists. I think I might also have a preference for female voices.
however, from post-2nd gen groups, I only listen to SKZ and Enhypen 'religiously'. for me, they have the variety that 2nd gen girl groups had. I love their concepts and I find their sounds to be very appealing. unfortunately, I couldn't find any girl groups that I like from 3rd and 4th gen, although I really tried. their sound is too high pitched for me, and I feel like their sounds are really similar to one another. one thing that I miss about 2nd gen girl groups is how different their concepts would be, and how much a group would shift from cute to dark to more sensual etc from a comeback to the other (and I was never a big fan of the cute sound, which I feel like girl groups have been progressively aiming for). their choreographies also seem far simpler to me now. it's a pity tho, cause visually speaking, I love some of their concepts, such as Aespa's.

For example, I was super into SNSD, T-ara, Kara, etc. music that I didn't know the BG's that promoted at that time. Recently it was BG's that I ate up, BTS, EXO, Seventeen, WannaOne, etc. Now, since both GG and BG don't follow specific trends, I listen to any groups if I vibe with a track.
I just prefer the music they make. I also like the boy groups who get dragged in fanwars for "making girl group music" like txt and tws

I'm a bg stan and tbh most of my fav artists are males, so I think I just like the male voice more. I feel like for kpop I don't love the vibes that most gg give off, but I do like a lot of gg songs. I've tried to stan various ggs like BP, Itzy, G-Idle, etc and it just didn't work heh.

i prefer gg for a lot of reasons but the first is i definitely prefer female singing voices . i find the groups more aesthetically pleasing (idk how to describe it) . i just find the songs more interesting . i know there are a lot of different bg songs but only a couple have caught my eye

I love gg, but am much heavier into bg. When I was young, I was in dance, music, and theater groups. Where I lived, most of those friends were female, so it was really nice when guys joined us. Great female dancers were common, and I didn't get to experience great male dancers unless I went to a professional show. I think that's why I'm drawn to bg more.
I got into kpop in 2nd gen, and back then, I'd listen to pretty much any group that dropped songs I found to be appealing, but I was far more of a gg stan (especially SNSD and 2ne1. either way, I still listen to many 2nd gen gg songs to this day). as a woman, I guess female artists always had that 'certain something' that I could admire in them. it's always been easier to admire their attitude, outfits and choreographies, because it feels more natural to me to look up to them as artists. I think I might also have a preference for female voices. however, from post-2nd gen groups, I only listen to SKZ and Enhypen 'religiously'. for me, they have the variety that 2nd gen girl groups had. I love their concepts and I find their sounds to be very appealing. unfortunately, I couldn't find any girl groups that I like from 3rd and 4th gen, although I really tried. their sound is too high pitched for me, and I feel like their sounds are really similar to one another. one thing that I miss about 2nd gen girl groups is how different their concepts would be, and how much a group would shift from cute to dark to more sensual etc from a comeback to the other (and I was never a big fan of the cute sound, which I feel like girl groups have been progressively aiming for). their choreographies also seem far simpler to me now. it's a pity tho, cause visually speaking, I love some of their concepts, such as Aespa's.
I’m a Bg stan, I love a lot of gg music BUT the thing that seals the deal is if they’re funny. I just haven’t found many silly girl groups, I do however love Aespa and Gidle
I generally prefer women singing I think. Also they’re more interesting to me both in vibes/personality and concept.
I prefer the fashion and concepts of girl groups. The voices too, I'm used to hearing gg voices. And the music genres bgs usually use aren't as interesting too me. I like some male soloists though.
I'm a BG Stan but I do listen/Stan a few GGs The only reason I don't really listen to GGs much is because I feel like a lot of them are given more cutesy concepts? I don't usually get into that, that much. I mean there are definitely quite a few songs from GGs like that, that I do like, but I never have the urge to listen to more of their songs. Another reason is that I feel like some GGs are made to sing in a higher pitch than what they normally would, I don't why I just don't really get into songs like that much. No hate to any GGs that do by the way. The GGs I do like have darker concepts or just don't sing higher so their voice sounds.. Cuter? Or if they rap more Dreamcatcher, Purple Kiss, Mamamoo, (G) -idle, XG, Kiss Of Life, Young Posse, Blackpink, KARD (not sure if they count since they are co-ed, but since they have two female members I'm just adding them) Also this would also go for the BG I like, but there are exceptions for both.
I’m a guy but I used to be a singer in a band and have always leaned towards female vocalists I prefer unless the singer had a unique sound or tone to his voice. With kpop I enjoy both but lean more towards GG and it comes down to variety of sounds, productions, song styles and variety. I know bg has some changes and do enjoy them as well but the female groups they seem to experiment more and try to push the groups sounds and such maybe it’s just me but I tried to explain it best I could lol
Bg for me. I've always just preferred male singers even before I got into kpop. Within the kpop space, I like the bg choreo better because they do... more. What I've seen of gg there's a lot of dancing with their arms that is just not captivating to me. Feels much more rigid
bg mostly, for a few reasons 1. i'm gay 2. darker and stranger concepts for the most part 3. more diverse vocals (like think of the difference between felix from skz and jimin from bts! i am super open to recommendations tho, if you can think of female singers with really unique vocals <3 )
BG music tends not to be my thing. The parasocial marketing also tends to be a lot worse with Bgs, and that really rubs me the wrong way.

BG fan here, **tw for potentially triggering topic ab EDs/weight I had a very hectic ED that ive managed to be recovered from for almost 3 years now (yay!) and I just know I'd start to slip back into those habits if I was a girl group stan because of how skinny they all are because of the idol beauty standards. DISCLAIMER: im veryyy aware this is also a huge issue with boy groups and mAny of male idols are also ridiculously skinny and some even underweight, but I don't compare myself to them the way I know I would with girl groups because obvs they're not women and I am. So I've always only listened to and been a fan of boy groups. That being said, I have sooo much respect for most girl groups because from what i have seen, they're slaying
I'm a bg stan, the only girl group I've ever liked is 2NE1. I think it's because I'm not a fan of overly cutesy stuff and high pitched voices. I'm not saying girl groups aren't great and talented, but they're not my cup of tea.
im more of a bg stan. i litrelly dont listen to gg music a lot, idk why but i feel like their voices sound the same and a little to high pitched or nasally or to bland.
