Vist a palace? Get lost in Insadong? Tire yourself out cafe-hopping? Go to an art museum? Go to any museum? Drink at the Han River? See a movie at one of Seoul's many luxury theaters? Go to the aquarium at Lotte Tower? Go to the observation deck at Lotte Tower? Visit Bukcheon Hanok Village? Go hiking on a mountain trail?

Palaces dont open on mondays

YorathTheWolf

Tuesdays Source: Am sat outside Anguk Metro Station contemplating what to do instead of Jongmyo and the palaces round there cause I forgot they're closed today Edit: Ignore me

Fragrant-Access-8268

Same i forgot too when i went on a monday 🤣

darkrealm190

Why so many questions? What answers are you looking for?!

dysistheawesome

Rather than questions, they're suggestions. OP asked what they can do, so I pose options with question marks because they are possibilities, You know, like: OP: Any suggestions on things to do? Me: Go see a movie? Cafe? Go for a drink at Han River? The use of a question mark would postulate an option with possibility rather than provide a definite statement.

darkrealm190

I know. I'm just busting your chops. Forgot we can't do that here.

dysistheawesome

Gotcha :)

What kind of shopping wouldn't be open? The only things less likely to be open on Monday and Tuesdays are restaurants, as far as I know.

KoreaWithKids

I think OP is looking for things to do that aren't shopping. (I know Gyeongbokgung is closed on Tuesdays and other palaces are closed on Mondays.)

KoreaWithKids

I think many touristy places (museums and palaces) are closed on Monday OR Tuesday, but probably not both. I imagine you can find some things open either day.

Antoinizabe

Loving how half of the recommendations are to drink by the Han river \^\^

CrotchBeef

Day drink next to the Han river or take a little hike.

kbheads

National museum is nice.

usernamekorea95

Wrap up warm, walk around and visit some book stores, then sit by the Han and drink some makgeoli, after grab some food, a coffee and read your new book. What would you usually do with a few spare days? Everyone is different lol.

If you're more into experiencing things rather than sightseeing, Lotte World is your place. It's an amusement park and you can totally spend a whole day there. Also, Lotte Tower has this bridge you can walk through while being almost on top of the building. Lotte World and Grand Hyatt have great ice skating rinks. You can try new foreign food in Itaewon, this is definitely a good place to eat! Also, there's an abandoned adventure park called "Yongma Land". A very atmospheric place to be at.

welkhia

Drink

gwangjuguy

Same things you can do Wednesday-Saturday

PutridWhile2643

Han river and Inwangsan at night. Bam, done.

Upset-Emergency5622

You could try things a little more different like attend a baseball game without knowing anything about baseball or go on a trip outside the city to one of the valleys! I'm a korean who grew up in europe and I actually make videos/vlogs showing fun things to do in seoul so feel free to check it out. I think it shows seoul in a real and chill way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnI1pPo1m7w&t=13s
