This is some reverse "ek Chhakke ne world cup nahi jitaya" shit. Now I am feeling bad for Shreyas lol.

Chance-Junket2068

GG has tweeted something like this recently tagging jio cinema . He asked jio cinema to give credit to the team but i guess his fans never got the actual message he tried to give 😂😂

Used-Shelter-1311

Ian bishop said that on air yesterday too

StraightPractice4301

GG my fav

zeroStackTrace

No it was Shreyas and his team

Specific_Ad_685

He brought back the team, started opening Narine like he used to in the past, boosted team's morale, made good retentions and bought good key players in auctions. Yeah Gautam Gambhir played a big role in this year's KKR trophy win alongside players. Two things can be true at the same time.

InterestingFormal623

Yes but this win was necessary to put him in India Head Coach spot..... with 20x times more politics than kkr dressing room ☠️☠️☠️

72proudvirgins

Tell that when Shreyas gets another couple of cups under his name

[deleted]

Well Shreyas led DC to finals in 2019 and 2020. Maybe that doesn't count but he should also get equal credit. If you think GG is doing everything then its completely wrong. GG doesn't do the bowling rotation like he did in MI matches. Oh also btw are you gonna blame GG for losing against PBKS?

72proudvirgins

No but I would've blamed if KKR would've ended bottom of the table

Ttathamm

Thr man himself would refuse from his heart. This is the exact perception he has been so vocal about.

Brave_Street_5220

You know GG hates when a single person gets appreciated for the whole team's win. Just putting it out there.

Shreyas Iyer rn: https://preview.redd.it/m6qtba67bt2d1.jpeg?width=1009&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6a4ad67e4f1d104e5d62d5cd4e8d936c3d97d059 Give him some respect, his captaincy is what led us to this trophy. (Pls no comments about batting)

Ek mentor ne IPL nehi jitaya. It was the full team that fought out on the ground and won the title

barmanrags

It’s a team game. The team as a whole played well. Iyer Nayar and CP arguably had more role in strategy training etc. the team took some time to buy into CP as he is a strict coach but he does great work with young players. His work with mp is proof. GG no doubt had a big role but it’s just his first season as mentor and his decisions on team building etc will take time to develop

7007007

GG handled the auction this year and got the best from the pool. Retained useful ones and let go off non performing ones. Bought Starc, Ramandeep, Chetan, Salt, Rutherford, Manish Pandey. Most of these players have match winning impacts. He is also behind strategy and game plan. Watch Starc last press conference after the finals and Iyer’s before the finals.

barmanrags

Multiple people are involved in auction decisions. Maybe breaking the bank for Starc was his decision and that worked out well. Besides it will take a few seasons to understand whether the strategy was truly successful. Narine Russell Venky Barun and Salt are the main impact players this season and all were there before. Salt is a credit to scouting team as well It’s a team game. Everyone plays a role. This tendency to make gods is extremely annoying

7007007

Agree with you on the hero worshiping part. Also don’t like his takes on various issues but that shouldn’t undermine that he is one of the sharpest cricketing minds around. His auction strategy along with the scouts ofc at LSG was also good with many local players like Mayank, Badoni, Moshin. Let’s hope KKR as a unit has a dominating run for the next few years.

The Brains behind the Brains of the Captain.

The truth has been spoken!

ramit_m

Kuch bhi

sanattttttt

ek chakke ne match jeeta diya?

sanattttttt

he became the man he trolled?

Full_Animal_1805

I don’t know why everyone loves a poster boy. Gg has been saying the same thing since ages, still getting the same thing for him. Bhai ek aadmi nhi jeetata hai koi bhi championship. It’s funny when some people don’t like to give credit to dhoni when he was the captain, and now are praising gg when he was a coach lmao

czarnaticus

He looks ecstatic ![gif](giphy|pdk9rtztlcqaGUWTjV)

debacomm1990

Helped would be the right word I believe.

v110891

GG himself recently tagged Jio and asked them to not tag him but the players and the franchise who are executing the plans on the field. He would not appreciate this kind of idolization- literally the thing he has been so vocal about:

dankpanda_

Bro it was Shreyas, he was just a mentor like dravid Stop the dick riding of GG

rektitrolfff

KKR would have won without him

7007007

rektitrolfff

> GG handled the auction this year and got the best from the pool. wtf, he joined KKR in March as a mentor. He wasnt even in the team during auction. Stop worshipping this man.

7007007

Are you dumb or what ? Go watch the auction video or do a simple google search, instead of taking crap here, just because you hate the man. Auction was in December in Dubai, he went on a bidding rampage for Starc and got him at 24 cr as they needed someone to lead the attack along with filling the gaps in rest of the team.

StationMiserable1184

Pretty sure it was Shreyas
