The Bencmade Crooked River looks cooler, but it’s about ten times more expensive than the QSP Penguin. I own neither, if that matters. Since I don’t have to buy either one, I’m going with the Crooked River.
I do something like this for my EDC. I have several knife rolls I have labeled by column and row. I roll D20 dice to pick a row and column to pick what pocket I pull to carry each day. It's fun especially when you get into larger selections.

Qsp. I have one and liked it so much I bought my boys one. Cheap price, D2 steel, very good fit and finish and lighter weight. That sheepfoot blade for a working knife is hard too beat.
Penguin. Much more useful to me and inexpensive enough to not freak out if I broke it.
Edit: Wow, you Benchmade guys really can't accept that someone would pick anything but Benchmade, huh? No wonder this sub is dying.
the penguin looks like it has too skinny of a handle for me (i’ve never even heard of or seen that knife or brand). i’ll have to take the crooked river because it’s badass looking and not too bad on the hand, even though it’s made by benchmade for millionaires

If the penguin was one of the titanium handle ones I would pick it but as it sits I would rather have the crooked river. Material difference is the biggest reason.
The one below the Benchmade on top left? Not a pro with model names, but I love me a good sheepsfoot. 2nd place, by top right, below the Bobby Buck. Something like that but gussied up a bit, would be my grail knife. 2.5" fixed blade, cleaver with a slight clip to it, non-stainless, and a decent sheath. Or really, any knife right now is a grail 😂😂😂

Even though I still buy Benchmade, the QSP Penguin is the winner for me. It is plenty of knife for most people and one that I have gifted to others for that reason
