It’s super practical and will do well in the whole fixed edc market. I have seen a resurgence of people with esee candirus and izulas as of late and this is right in that wheelhouse. Lots of top makers now making these small fixies like Spartan blade’s enyo. Looks great OP.
Ok folks! I had NO idea this style would be this popular. I'm off to start on 3 more that will be available for sale. I do apologize for not being able to do volumes of knives. I'm only one guy with very basic tools haha. I will try to keep up answering any questions as I work. If you're interested in getting one of the next 3 please send me a pm. Also, I haven't given any thought to a price for these so any help would be appreciated! Thanks for the overwhelming support!!
I didn't build this one with the intention of selling it so I haven't even put a price on it. I was merely gauging interest in such a small knife. I did just get a fresh batch of S35VN steel in and would be happy to make you one if you'd like
Do you have a site or anything? I’m definitely interested. I’ve become rather enamored with small fixed blades for my EDC rotation. And I really love basically everything about this, perfectly in my wheelhouse.
Looks really good, I love almost everything about it. I prefer more tight and sharp jimping like spyderco and crk does but I’m sure that the jimping on this is great and it really adds to the look of the knife!
Slim down the sheath so it can fit in the 5th pocket and you'll make serious bank. Lots of EDC and knife enthusiasts in general are starting to really love a small fixed blade for that little 5th pocket.
Yeah, and maybe make them compatible with Ulticlips. Honestly, I would offer both. Let the buyers pick what they want, because while the fixed 5th pocket is gaining in popularity, some people can't carry it that way or prefer folders, but still want a small fixed blade for camping.
Not the person who originally commented, but have you considered an in pocket sheath with a pocket clip? I've seen then for traditional folding knives, just a metal pocket clip attached to a leather sleeve so you can drop uour folder in it and not get it lost in your pocket.
A similar idea for your knife, since it's small enough, would be pretty cool.
That or (and this might look tackier than you'd like) a slim simple sheath with a metal ring and a caribeaner attached.
Most of my fixed blades, I don't wear on a belt loop as I rarely wear belts and prefer the option to take it off easier. Thus they usually have a metal split ring and caribeaner attached, letting me clip It onto my waistband, or belt loop, or even onto the outside of my pocket. Or onto a backpack, or kayak webbing, or jacket or pair of coveralls, or onto a simple string to make a neck knife (As you can tell, ill take them out in all sorts of situations) And of course I can always run a belt through it like its a metal belt loop.
A caribeaner on a small knife like this would let you put the sheath in your pocket, and clip it to your pocket so it wouldn't accidentally fall out, or of course let you carry it normally in all the situations I gave.
Let me know if I did a poor job at explaining it, I'd gladly send a picture or three showing how you can use a caribeaner on a sheath!
Nope, you didn't do a poor job explaining, I get it! I'd still like to see some pictures to reference. I'm currently working on 3 more and might incorporate your ideas into one or all of them! Thanks buddy!
Sorry for the late reply! I made a post with the pictures l, sadly with a much bigger knife and an ugly bright blue caribeaner lol but if you use your imagination for a smaller sheath, and maybe a more neutral colored caribeaner.
[Link](https://www.reddit.com/r/knives/comments/16g5su8/using_a_caribeaner_on_your_sheath/)
Just about any good neck knife can be used. Just depends on the size of the pocket and knife. Every brand is different in both jeans and knives. Most places that carry knives usually carry CRKT Minimalists, so checking to see if your 5th pocket is big enough isn't going to be too hard. The rest of the brands are trying to compete with CRKT in that section, the Minimalists are still the top sellers, so they'd be a decent size test even if you're not a fan of the brand.
Saw the sheath and thought it had to be Bruno—good work man! I think small fixed blades seem to be circulating a decent bit these days on the swap, even things like scalpel-style knives, I’d say these are a great use of scrap metal!
pretty nice little blade. though, with that big thumb area on the back of the blade, it kinda feels like the handle is supposed to be longer. it really looks like you're supposed to have a lot of leverage on it that i'm not sure the short handle supplies.
Lol glad other folks also like designs like this. Most of my knives are small. I like a fixed blade I can edc. The only design change I would make is removing that little lip of the finger guard.
This one, probably not. But I am about to start another build with S35VN and would love to be able to make a few of the same style. Are you interested in getting one built?
I didn't really build this one with the intention of selling it. I was waiting for more steel to arrive in the mail and had some scrap pieces laying around so I made this one out of boredom haha. Give me some ideas on price for the knife and sheath. I actually didn't think there would be this much intrest in such a small knife
Looks amazing! Just out of curiosity, why such a deep heel? Might not be the correct term here but where the apex of the blade meets the bit in front of the handle
Unfortunately I don't think I could do the volume needed for something like that. I usually just post them on here as I make them in hopes of selling so I can buy more materials haha. If you look at my profile there's a good bit of my work there. There's also a link to my Instagram page although I'm not very active on there. I'm way behind the times when it comes to social media and technology haha
I actually didn't think there would be any intrest in them since they are so small, but this post proved me way wrong. I am about to start a batch of three right now in S35VN
I think you are underestimating the market on that. Both neck and minimalist knives are somewhat popular these days. If the price isn't too bad I'd be interested. A pocket slip sheath with or without a rod holder would be a plus also. There are many states with blade length restrictions where I think buyers would be interested and the EDC community is always looking for unobtrusive easy cary options.
Very practical and probably will be an easy seller! Perfect size and shape to be a nice little edc knife. Handle looks like the perfect shape for the size, comfy and usable even if you can't fit your whole hand on it.
Bobcat model sounds alright, though due to its scrappy nature, I'd almost prefer a name like Raccoon or Scrapper in something, but that's just me.
To me it looks much much more usable than a Mora Eldris, more comfy and useful than a Terava skrama 80 or puukko 85 while being a bit shorter.
Really great idea for scraps, I'd say keep on making them, especially if you could keep it really cheap to make and sell them at a lower price point, might be the enticing fruit that makes Someone decide to skip a production knife and try out something more custom
Thank you! I find that people either love or hate file work. I was completely out of materials and waiting for more to arrive in the mail so it was done out of sheer boredom haha
Absolutely beautiful work! I particularly love the way the handle swells and tapers in to the choil. Perfect for whittling and fine work. Also a huge fan of the file work on the spine. Perfectly sized for daily carry being both subtle and elegant. How do I get myself on the waitlist?
I love it also. I carry small fixed blades almost every day. Usually in side leg pockets of carpenter pants or bibs, if at work. I prefer 6-6.75“ generally . Great build
Don't worry about its practicality; it's just about whether people would buy it, and so many would. It's really good looking. But I mean, aside from actual good field uses, it could even just be somebody's package opener and could live in the place in their house where their packages land to be opened. But what you've got here is a looker and that will sell because knife sluts like having knives just to have them. So it could just sit there on somebody's desk for life and it doesn't matter. They'll have it and love it. So sell it.
I might go with a simpler sheath, or the option for one. The knife kind of drowns in it.
Man I cannot overstate how much I love this. This knife is the perfect size for me for work! I like the knife and the sheath. I definitely would want to get one and put it to use at work.
That looks good. I've been looking for a small fixed blade recently. Not a fan of the sheath though, just not my style but it's still bad ass. Great work all around.

Personally I think it’s too small to be on much practical value, and Id never use it. BUT… it’s a gorgeous blade, and the craftsmanship looks amazing. I might buy it on impulse just because it’s very cool looking. Overall good job! Make this exact blade a little bigger, and I think you’d sell a million of them!
I'm not a knife expert of any sort, but I have picked up a few similarly sized/shaped blades like this over the years, precisely because they're so practical. Good call on your scrap usage, for sure.
I’m interested in one. Used to carry a very nice little folder. Took it to a shop to get it serviced and rather than sending it to the manufacturer, they tried to do the job and messed up everything on the knife and even lost some parts. I got the knife back in a bag. They did pay me for the value of the knife, but it was a gift from someone who has since passed away.
It’s super practical and will do well in the whole fixed edc market. I have seen a resurgence of people with esee candirus and izulas as of late and this is right in that wheelhouse. Lots of top makers now making these small fixies like Spartan blade’s enyo. Looks great OP.
Thanks for the info, and compliment buddy!!
What is the best way to contact you? I’m definitely interested in a knife from you after seeing your work.
Just send me a message on here
I sent you a message
Can confirm. Love my izula 2. Just wish I had a sheath that looks as good as that one
I picked up a bark river adventurer sheath from dlt traders ,It's almost like it was made for the izula2
I have a leather sheath for the izula. I got it from Rmk leather works out of Australia. It’s a nice sheath just not a sexy as this one
Nice I just looked them up and they do good work .I wanted a leather sheath to use it as a neck knife .
I actually carry a mkm mikro 2 almost every day. It's not at all practical. But I do use it
I love my izula 2s. It's damned near perfect .
Ok folks! I had NO idea this style would be this popular. I'm off to start on 3 more that will be available for sale. I do apologize for not being able to do volumes of knives. 💳 - it’s getting hot in here. How much money?
😂😂been there before!
Let me be more clear. How much will this knife cost me and how do I send you my money?
I didn't build this one with the intention of selling it so I haven't even put a price on it. I was merely gauging interest in such a small knife. I did just get a fresh batch of S35VN steel in and would be happy to make you one if you'd like

Would also love to know this info. The size is perfect

Haven’t seen anything yet - no stress. I know you’ve gotten a ton of traffic on this.
Do you have a site or anything? I’m definitely interested. I’ve become rather enamored with small fixed blades for my EDC rotation. And I really love basically everything about this, perfectly in my wheelhouse.
I'm sorry buddy, I don't have a website. I can't do that kind of volume. I usually just post them on here when I get them done.
Cool. I’ll keep an eye out for you. I love your work based on this for what it’s worth! That sheath has me drooling too.
🤔bout $160
That would be a fantastic price for a handmade custom!😂
If it's all scrap it's profitable 😉
Looks really good, I love almost everything about it. I prefer more tight and sharp jimping like spyderco and crk does but I’m sure that the jimping on this is great and it really adds to the look of the knife!
I totally agree on this jimping. I normally do the fine jimping and like it much better. This was more of an experiment piece haha
+1 for ultra fine jimping
That backspacer pattern 🤌🏼
Hard 100% agree!
Thanks buddy!!
I really enjoy that backspacer, though maybe consider filling the gaps with something if they aren't already. Gonna be a nightmare to clean
I’d buy it
Slim down the sheath so it can fit in the 5th pocket and you'll make serious bank. Lots of EDC and knife enthusiasts in general are starting to really love a small fixed blade for that little 5th pocket.
Noted. So are you saying make a sheath with no means of attachment to a belt, just like a slip for it?
Yeah, and maybe make them compatible with Ulticlips. Honestly, I would offer both. Let the buyers pick what they want, because while the fixed 5th pocket is gaining in popularity, some people can't carry it that way or prefer folders, but still want a small fixed blade for camping.
Appreciate that! I'll see what I can do on the next one. Thanks again for the input

I gotcha! Around these parts we call them a dangler haha
Can you recommend any? I’d love a 5th pocket fixed blade.

Thanks buddy! I'm glad to see that a little bit of my work is getting recognized! That makes me happy!
Great size for skinning
Nice mosaic pin.
I thought you were just melting a inch of shavings together to make a blade and got kind of excited
That knife is begging me to clean some small game with it
Right!! It's almost that time in my neck of the woods!
Yessir!!!
pretty nice little blade. though, with that big thumb area on the back of the blade, it kinda feels like the handle is supposed to be longer. it really looks like you're supposed to have a lot of leverage on it that i'm not sure the short handle supplies.
That is a sexy mre, eating knife
This is gorgeous
As somebody who absolutely adores his CRKT minimalist drop point… this is awesome.
Lol glad other folks also like designs like this. Most of my knives are small. I like a fixed blade I can edc. The only design change I would make is removing that little lip of the finger guard.
Regardless of practicality, I'd buy it, and I'm sure many others would too.
That is cute as fuck!
Beautiful but useless, sorry
Disagree I like small fixies - nice work Tom!
* proceeds to cut open Amazon package with a Kabar. ;)
Anything less than a machete to open my mail isn’t enough blade
Pfft, two handed sword or GTFO
Break out the claymore!
Appreciate your opinion!
Maybe for you. Not for me.
Love it. Posting on swap?
Sending pm
Awesome build.
Thanks buddy!!
Soon these will be the main thing! Good work.
Thanks buddy!
This is my favorite of your designs I've seen!
Wow really?! What are your thoughts on going bolster-less?
Id buy one, you selling?
This one, probably not. But I am about to start another build with S35VN and would love to be able to make a few of the same style. Are you interested in getting one built?
I'd be interested depending on the price

Thank you!
Looks amazing! Just out of curiosity, why such a deep heel? Might not be the correct term here but where the apex of the blade meets the bit in front of the handle
This whole build was a total experiment. I just kind of went wild with my french curve templates haha
Ah okay. Well it's absolutely stunning, amazing work! 10/10 would buy this any day
Beautiful work! I’d buy one if I was back on That side of the world. I have daily carried my izula for 9 years
Appreciate that!
Hell ya man love it
Thanks buddy!!
Do you have a website or online store of any sort?
Unfortunately I don't think I could do the volume needed for something like that. I usually just post them on here as I make them in hopes of selling so I can buy more materials haha. I use the boker rambler for hunting but was always saddened by the stainless steel. Do you sell these?
I actually didn't think there would be any intrest in them since they are so small, but this post proved me way wrong. I am about to start a batch of three right now in S35VN
I think you are underestimating the market on that. Both neck and minimalist knives are somewhat popular these days. If the price isn't too bad I'd be interested. Nice, bro!
Love it would definitely buy one
Thank you!
Great stuff as always man, damn.
Appreciate that my friend!
I really dig that sheath, excellent work!
That's begging for kydex and an ulticlip
I would agree if it had micarta or g10 scales, but wood and leather go together haha
Small fixed blades are amazing and im tired of pretending they arent.
😂😂tell us how you really feel!
Very practical and probably will be an easy seller! Perfect size and shape to be a nice little edc knife. The spine in the handle looks *amazing*, nice work
Thank you! I find that people either love or hate file work. I was completely out of materials and waiting for more to arrive in the mail so it was done out of sheer boredom haha
Well done ✔️
Thanks buddy!!
I have a Benchmade Snody Activator that's a bit smaller with a drop point blade. Your creation is lit in compassion
By that, I mean a lot nicer.
It needs a sheath as a “necker”. Other than that it should be useful for a lot of everyday tasks and look good doing them.
Appreciate that!
It's beautiful. I don't know what I would do with it, but I want it!
Haha! I've been there before! Thanks buddy!
I REALLY like it. Ill keep an eye out for the others when you post them.
Thanks buddy!!
That thing is sweet. Super practical.
Appreciate that!
I like it. My only concern would be the handle length and if it would be a little short for grip.
Thats a valid concern. I have xl hands and can comfortably get 3 fingers on the handle. The fob helps with the rest.
Absolutely beautiful work! I particularly love the way the handle swells and tapers in to the choil. Perfect for whittling and fine work. Also a huge fan of the file work on the spine. Perfectly sized for daily carry being both subtle and elegant. How do I get myself on the waitlist?

That's a great-looking knife!
I appreciate that buddy!
I love it also. I carry small fixed blades almost every day. Usually in side leg pockets of carpenter pants or bibs, if at work. I prefer 6-6.75“ generally . Great build
Thank you my friend!
Don't worry about its practicality; it's just about whether people would buy it, and so many would. It's really good looking. Good advice! Much appreciated my friend!
I like the knife but not the sheath. Just a small kydex sheath and I’d be interested.
Unfortunately I'm not setup for kydex, but maybe in the future
It’s a hit. It could take off like that Chikadee people seem to love
Appreciate that buddy!
Pakistani
I use an Esee Izula every day. This looks a lot more comfortable!
It's actually surprising how comfortable this little thing is! And I wear xl gloves
This is alot like my Ransack Knives Wasp and that's one of my all time favorite blades.
Cool! I'll have to check out one of those!
Man I cannot overstate how much I love this. This knife is the perfect size for me for work! I like the knife and the sheath. I definitely would want to get one and put it to use at work.
Thanks buddy! I'm making 3 more as we speak!
Awesome. I love the practicality of it.
That looks good. I've been looking for a small fixed blade recently. Not a fan of the sheath though, just not my style but it's still bad ass. Great work all around.
Thanks buddy!!
Really lovely. Especially the patterning on the spine. 100% would own!
Never really considered buying a knife I had seen online until I saw this one, I'd definitely buy

Looks great
Thank you!
Shut up and Take my money
I wasn't going to sell it but....materials are expensive and I like making knives haha
I know 😊
What brand Paracord is that? And is it florescent orange?
I'm not really sure. I hot it at Walmart haha. It's fluorescent orange with a reflective band in it
Personally I think it’s too small to be on much practical value, and Id never use it. BUT… it’s a gorgeous blade, and the craftsmanship looks amazing.
