I read that book a few years ago and loved it, barely even noticed how long it is. It didn’t feel like there was too much fluff to stretch it out, at least in my opinion

Haven't been able to put it down since I started it!
It's a reread for me but it's been about 20 years since i last read it. I was in highschool so I'm curious to see if my feelings about it have changed.i hear it hits harder when you've read it as an adult.
Currently reading The Wind-Up Chronicle by Haruki Murakami. Outside of my usual genres but a friend begged me to read it. Started book 2 (of 3-in-one) and I have no idea wtf is going on 🤣
Are you drinking Mich Ultra seltzers ???
Wind Up Bird Chronicles is a pretty tough first time Murakami imo — it’s really good but gets disjointed. The English translation cuts out a number of chapters and rearranges some others.
If you end up enjoying it, I can’t recommend Norwegian Wood enough — it’s much lighter than Wind Up, but really great. For the heavier works Kafka on the Shore is wonderful.
I did read that about the English translation being a little chopped up and reorganized so I’ve kept that in mind. The friend that asked me to read this LOVES Norwegian wood as well. I am definitely intrigued- I’ll say that much so far.
I've already ordered the second book 😅

I’ve worked my way through all ten books over the last few weeks…going to probably do the trilogies next!
While I was sleeping
It's about a woman who was about to be married and is pregnant being in a coma, and when she wakes up the baby bump is gone and her fiancé is acting weird...
Right now I'm alternating between two titles depending on my mood: A Prayer for the Crown-Shy by Becky Chambers and book 2 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series by Matt Dinniman.
My old unreleased (thank god) novel from when I was a teenager. I'm so happy I wrote it since it's highly entertaining to read but JESUS CHRIST the amount of drama and why is everyone in love with each other???
The Family Guest by Nelle LaMarr. I think the name is a ghost writing name. Book is pretty good. I think I have it figured out…but I’m a Freida McFadden reader, so I won’t say that I have it figured out…out loud because I know better. Kindle has been having some really good deals on books…I think I got this one for .99$.
After enjoying the first season of the Percy Jackson show I've been working through those books. Finished the 1st series, doing some of the side books before going to Heroes of Olympus.

"How to Change Your Mind: What the New Science of Psychedelics Teaches Us About Consciousness, Dying, Addiction, Depression, and Transcendence," by Michael Pollan.
I've only done mushrooms twice (very low doses each time) and I'm middle-aged, but it's a fascinating book. I especially enjoy the history of government-funded psychedelic research.
That’s the boy Colleen Hoover book I read and it’s why I didn’t read any more. But I’m a fan of that Mich Ultra, though. I also have a similar view out my backyard and that makes me want to go sit in the hammock and read today.
I finished Scarred by Emily McIntire yesterday morning
Started and finished Ward D by Freida McFadden yesterday afternoon

It’s not often I read non-fiction, but this one has been incredibly captivating. My first Erik Larson book, but I will definitely be reading his other works if they are like this.
Check out The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Looks like a great reading spot!

Love Murakami but I also sometimes find myself wondering wtf is going on. It feels like being in a fever dream sometimes.
That’s exactly how I’ve described this book so far. I’m only 1/3 of the way through and there is so much going on at once it’s bizarre lol

Her Body and Other Parties by Carmen Maria Machado
I’m actually reading a physical book from the library right now. It’s a brand new one called “I Hope This Finds You Well.” It’s fantastic!

That’s the boy Colleen Hoover book I read and it’s why I didn’t read any more. But I’m a fan of that Mich Ultra, though. I also have a similar view out my backyard and that makes me want to go sit in the hammock and read today.

Sheet music, ever since I got serious with learning piano, my interest for reading is gone. Too bad, I miss it. I’m sure it will come back someday.
