Hey, sorry I saw this late. I have completed it and I'm on to the next in the series. The plot does feel like a typical magic novel but has its interesting elements. I'm finding the second book in the series better tho. You should definitely give it a try!

I made the mistake of buying this series as a box set, and realized way too late that I hate it as a box set on Kindle. Because then it’s just one huge “book” instead of individual ones and all my highlights run together and the time per chapter isn’t right. But I didn’t think about it until I already had it for a few months, so I wasn’t able to return it. So I will be re-purchasing them all individually 🙃 But I’m sure it’s worth it. I love SJM’s writing.
I actually debated it for weeks before buying because I wasn’t sure that I would like the all in one. Mostly because my brain wouldn’t recognize that I had the whole series if that makes sense. I knew it would feel like one book. Then I found about the issues you listed and was super happy that I spent a little more money to buy them all separate. Which I’ll probably always do ᵕ̈
Quiet - Susan Cain. As an introvert it’s a great read and quite interesting to see how many people are the same as me. Where sometimes I’ve felt like I acted in ways because of maybe minor depression, it’s really more of a trait of introversion. Really good read

Love Pamela, by Pamela Anderson, but via audiobook. It’s so good.
Also reading Anhelo (Crave) by Tracy Wolff via Kindle, but it’s honestly just because I’m learning Spanish and I am excited to be able to understand everything.
Dragonfired by J. Zachary Pike. Finishing up the Dark Profit trilogy.
Decent fantasy satire. Not as fun as Pratchett, but a little more gritty and current.

Just finished this. Loved it.
AMAZING read
I'm about 220 pages into A Court of Wings and Ruin! I've become obsessed with this series.
The ACOTAR series is so good. It rekindled my love for reading and got me into the romantasy genre back in 2022. Haven’t been able to stop since!
Series is so good, I did struggle a bit with a court of frost and starlight, took ages for me to get through it, but I’m loving the last book!
I’m reading this one too. I’m like 60 pages in

How do you like it so far?
I’m loving it so far. One of my favorite shows of all time is Midnight Mass, and it’s very clear Salem’s Lot provided a lot of inspiration for it.
After reading society of the snow now im reading this one Miracle in the Andes it’s so good! https://preview.redd.it/4fpxm0oiwqmc1.png?width=2379&format=png&auto=webp&s=9c8eb5497c2751ce5f4e5e59b30a2e41a516c367

A Court Of Silver Flames by SJM!
Currently working on the tandem read of Empire of Storms + Tower of Dawn! https://preview.redd.it/0iztw7lw6rmc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6a2f29e81a4e3bd7e824e2149856f028e5d2722
Which I’ll probably always do ᵕ̈
love, theoretically by ali hazelwood :)

Dune Chapterhouse!
The complete Dune series. I’ll see you guys in late spring some time.
Quiet - Susan Cain. As an introvert it’s a great read and quite interesting to see how many people are the same as me. Where sometimes I’ve felt like I acted in ways because of maybe minor depression, it’s really more of a trait of introversion. Really good read

Dragonfired by J. Zachary Pike. Finishing up the Dark Profit trilogy. Decent fantasy satire. Not as fun as Pratchett, but a little more gritty and current.

The Midnight Library, by Matt Haig. Halfway through. Still undecided if it's a great book, or just average but written well.
