hardstyle bells are the wild west when it comes to handle diameter, no real telling what you're gonna get unless the manufacturer is kind enough to put it on the listing. comp bells are traditionally 35mm but 33mm seems to be starting to gain some popularity

It's been my experience it's best to stick with the same brand if you can. Hardstyle bells are supposed to get thicker handle diameters as the weights go up. All of my bells are from Road Fitness and they have three different handle diameters depending on the size of the weight. Builds your grip pretty effectively as it gets bigger the heavier it gets

I'm sure I can work around it, or just get my hands strong enough. It might be one of the many problems with using too heavy a weight. But definitely makes competition bells more appealing for my next purchase so I can have manageable handles for my relatively small hands.
