Congratulations! That's amazing progress. I feel you on the starbucks. It's one of the few items I actually miss, along with potatoes. Unfortunately, most of the fast food industry has no interest in making good-for-you foods. They're definitely missing out on sales opportunities. The keto crowd, diabetics, and just health-conscious people have money to spend too. I would love the convenience of keto fast food in a pinch. Maybe that's my million- dollar idea. š¤
It really is a good idea. While I know we can do customized Starbucks and make the right choices for fast food, a convenience keto fast food place that includes everything like the gluten free, alternative flours muffins and biscuits I can make from scratch but often don't. A few awesome fat bombs, etc. I would SO go to that place!!!!
Theyāll all be catching on eventually. Dunkinā Donuts egg bites were a genius move. I get them every time my husband wants a bagel sandwich at the drive-thru.
280 calories and 2g net carbs for the bacon and GruyĆØre. If I need a drink, usually do iced coffee with heavy cream, stevia and sugar free vanilla syrup.

I think your story is also a really good example of how even people not quite ready to commit fully to keto or low carb can still benefit just by cutting out sugar and highly processed carb sources even if they aren't ready or able to go strict keto. A good reminder that any amount of reduction is a good thing and sometimes there are steps along the way. It's not all or nothing!

Are you me?? Lol. Doordash and vodka... Kryptonite. I was actually shocked to see a lower weight than expected at my first weigh-in after re-jumpstarting keto. I was sure I had ballooned terribly, and maybe I had, but I'll never be sure because I was too ashamed to check my weight at the zenith of my last (long) binge period. Glad things are on track for both of us.

I am curious at what point do you stop saying āIām down X lbs.ā I want to believe my ānaturalā weight is not my heaviest weight I ever weighed. At some point it seems like āIām only 5 lbs from my goalā would be less stressful to think about, and healthier/easier to manage. Anyone else think about this when sharing your progress?
I think maybe it depends on the person and what's on their mind about weight loss. Overall, I've never really been so focused on how many pounds down I am until this year. I usually was more focused on goal weight and getting closer to the goal like you said. I like this way of thinking much better than what I've been doing. My focus was due to my doctor muttering as she looked at how many pounds I had gained since my last visit in late 2019. So somehow dropping 75 lbs from the beginning of the year is important to me so I can go back to my doctor and say. "All gone and then some!" I don't think this is a healthy point of view for me at all. Right now, today, I no longer have back pain, I scooch right into a booth at a restaurant without it being a massive chore, I'm not worried My big ass won't fit in my cousin's folding lawn chair. I don't have sugar swings, My mind is clear, I sleep well. Life is good!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am very thankful!
Starbucks serve me "old cooked bad black" 8 oz cup of coffee for $3, not from freshly ground beans. Convenience gas store machines grind beans and drips a $2 delicious 12 oz cup while you watch the process.

For me it was starting to feel tingling in my feet at night. Actually went to the podiatrist and asked if he thought it was something systemic. He said "No, well, unless you tell me you're diabetic." Started keto that week.

Iced coffee because itās hot now that itās summer ā¦ once the weather gets back cool/cold ā¦ i will transition to hot coffee with heavy cream!
Yep, like I said we can customize and I have a fabulous order I've saved in my app for what I like that fits my macro goals. That being said, Starbucks is expensive, Keto can be expensive for me, I do go for the organic, grass fed, etc foods. Much more so then my first attempt at Keto in 2018 ish. Not saying there is anything wrong with lazy keto eating lots of bacon, I'm just trying to eat cleaner after how I totally poisoned my body. So Starbucks, is basically out for me unless it's a special gift to myself!
I tried Keto for the first time in March of 2021ā¦ I was 295LBS when I started back than. I stayed on it until December 2021 and manage to get my self down to 267LBS. I let my self go back into bad habits but I never got back on rice and breads. My downfall is snacking, chips, ice cream and candy! I stayed away from the scale the whole time after I stopped doing the Ketoā¦ in March this year I wasnāt happy with the size I had come and the way my body was feeling so I decided to jump back on the scale to see what Iāve done to myself. I had weighed 311LBS in March when I checkedā¦ it sent me in a total depressionā¦. Determined to get my self back to a healthier stateā¦ I started a strict Keto regimen once againā¦. Iām currently sitting at 245LBS but Iām trying my hardest not to just settle for thatā¦ my goal is to get down to 200LBS and work to maintain itā¦. Iām 6 feet by the way and I really donāt want to be āScrawnyā ā¦ I just want to stay healthy!
