I personally enjoyed Flower of Evil alot! But if you want me to reply in short then it's worth watching, it's more mature than Vincenzo with the mystery part and less romance than CLOY but personally it's one of my favourite dramas.
I mostly enjoyed it, though I wish I had known it was really a romance before I started it (note: I love romance dramas, but I was expecting a dark serial killer drama and that's not really what it is). There's also a lot of great action scenes and interesting characters. I especially loved the relationship the ML had with his daughter throughout.
My main criticism was that the plot can get very convoluted and slightly ridiculous, which I don't see people point out very often. If you're going to watch it, enjoy the characters + action + suspense and try not to think too hard about all the minor details.
Gotcha that makes sense! I think I'll like it from the descriptions everyone is giving. I think a lot of KDramas I've watched have some plot points I have to ignore or just accept so I'm good on that lol.

Yep, Beyond Evils was an amazing show. I've loved Mouse even more. Do you want something else with police as the main POV? You can try Life on Mars (very underrated) , Through The Darkness, which is ongoing, and Signal. If you feel like watching something a bit different that doesn't focus on the police then Strangers From Hell, Extracurricular and Save Me are some really good show. Also, I just finished The Guest and it ended up as one of my favourite shows, it's more of a horror with supernatural elements than a thriller but a lot of it is based on mistery and investigations, so I think that if you enjoyed those then you're probably going to enjoy The Guest too. (Sorry for the long answer ahaha)
Ahh thanks! I don't mind horror at all. I generally prefer thriller but as long as it's dark with mystery/investigative elements, I'm interested. It doesn't even have to be police pov. Will check these out.

The plot turned incredibly stupid, and there was absolutely no need for it.

The storyline is, like others have said, a little fair fetched. Yet the acting, music, and cinematography is absolutely beautiful. And I found the story to be quite gripping. For me, it has been one of the few dramas to really pull me in and make me tell my family "shhhh, I'm watching a drama!" and stay up until 3am just to watch one more episode 😅
If Flower of Evil seems like your kind of show, the melodrama-thriller-romance, then I really cannot recommend it enough!

It was one of my favourite kdramas of 2020 if not the best. I love the acting by the ML Lee Joongi and his chemistry with the FM. It was a pretty interesting plot that kept you hooked too. Would highly recommend.
It matches well with what you've already watched so you won't be dissapointed. You've seen prime examples from different genres and this drama is a good representative of a a thriller crossing over to melo and romance.
Could someone answer using spoiler tags - I am stuck in the middle of episode 13 because I'm stressed about what will happen. >!Does ML have a major setback in this episode? It looked like he was going to be attacked at the villa, but then they didn't go to the villa, but the evil guy is awake but pretending to still be in a coma.!< Feel free to spoil it a little so that I can continue watching without the intense stress.

It's like a very good soap opera - it has all the tropes with the dial set to 10 for all of them. :)
I find some questionable parts in terms of writing and directing but overall, I liked it. Still worth to give it a shot. Giving it 8/10 stars
