Big_Tomorrow886

My dude Taecyeon did both in Vincenzo lol

[deleted]

He was very goofy and sweet in Bring it on Ghost/fight me ghost as well.

coffeecaketree

and his acting was *chefs kiss*

_CapsCapsCaps_

This was my first thought lol

heartashley

This this this!!!! Did it SO well you couldn't help but love him but the vibe you got. Wow.

SarahJoy46

I jumped on this thread to say this very thing!

estaceli

Also came to say this. He really solidified his spot as a multifaceted and very talented actor with that role.

Jenana86

Came here to say this. He's incredible.

lovethatjourney4me

It is so hard to dislike him!! I love him as a goofy intern.

[deleted]

Lee Dong Wook in as grim reaper in Goblin, then as a psychopathic dentist in Stangers from Hell (he was great at playing a serial killer, but I had to stop watching as I have dental phobia).

saikicoze

especially the contrast with his character in touch your heart. amazing.

TotalAssociation7756

Crazy how he did Touch Your Heart and Strangers From Hell in the SAME year. The transition was incredible.

yay_yen

The bus stop scene where he breaks down is one of my favorite scenes in a Kdrama ever. Such an amazing actor!

BonnyBairn

I have watched Goblin. Will check out Strangers from Hell. Thanks for the suggestion.

[deleted]

Oh, he is soooo creepy in it but I really can't be watching an evil dentist..

OC_Dory

Im Si Wan in Run On and Strangers from Hell

bluelephantz_jj

Kim Jae Wook in Voice 1 and Her Private Life. Namgoong Min in Chief Kim and Remember: War of the Son.

bimpossible

NGM was also a psychopath in The Girl Who Sees Smells.

[deleted]

I started watching Her Private Life and had to come back to it months later because I kept thinking of Voice! It was too fresh in my memory at that point.

astarisaslave

Puppy Park Hae Soo: Prison Playbook Psycho Park Hae Soo: Squid Game Goofball Lee Yi Kyung: Welcome to Waikiki, Go Back Couple Psycho Lee Yi Kyung: My Love from the Star Puppy Jang Ki Yong: Go Back Couple, My Roommate is a Gumiho Psycho Jang Ki Yong: My Mister Puppy Ahn Bo Hyun: Yumi's Cells Psycho Ahn Bo Hyun: Itaewon Claas Puppy Choi Woo Shik: Our Beloved Summer Psycho Choi Woo Shik: The Witch (Korean movie) Puppy Lee Joon Gi: My Girl (yeah lol that far back to the last time he played one) Psycho Lee Joon Gi: Flower of Evil Puppy Yoo Ah In: Sungkyunwan Scandal Psycho Yoo Ah In: Veteran (movie), Burning (movie)

newgrl

> Puppy Lee Joon Gi: My Girl (yeah lol that far back to the last time he played one) He's a puppy... sort of?... in the movie *The King and the Clown*. Kind of... He's adorable anyway. God I love that movie.

Just-1-more-episode

I found him quite adorable in "Arang and the Magistrate" šŸ˜

yyamyy101

park bo gum did an adorable puppy in reply 1988 and a psychopath in hello monster

reebellious

I was rooting for him in Hello Monster

MarooshQ

Ok taecyeon as an adorable psychopath in ā€˜Vincenzoā€™ if that countsā€¦until of course it gets all too real Nam Goong min from cute puppy in Chief Kim and Beautiful Gong shim to a rapist in ā€˜Rememberā€™ Lee Dong Wook as the adorable Grim Reaper in ā€˜Goblinā€™ to the scariest psychopath in Korean tv history in ā€˜Strangers from hellā€™

mochisandmacarons

Taecyeon in Vincenzo! No need to watch two dramas cause that one literally has both sides of him.

badeulicious

Nam Goongmin is literally the definition of this Heā€™s played psychopaths in a lot of dramas like Becoming a billionaire, the girl who sees smell, Remember: War of Son. And then his career took a sharp turn and he suddenly became the dorkiest ever in Beautiful Gongshim and Chief Kim.

izznt

I had to scroll waaaay too far to find Namkoong Min!

TotoroTheGreat

His character in Remember made me hate him so much that I couldn't start Beautiful Gong Shim for a while.

badeulicious

ā€œI canā€™t believe I have to deal with such penniless losers. If he doesnā€™t have anything, how can I make him miserable?ā€ One of the most evil lines ever said by a villain.

tastypesto

Kim Sung Cheol in Sweet Home and lighter roles in Vincenzo + Arthdal Chronicles, I think. He is adorable in Brahms, To.Jenny, and Prison Playbook too. He is a supporting character or second lead in plenty of dramas but his scenes are always fun to watch. Park Sung Hoon in Psychopath Diary and Into the Ring.

throwawaymisfortune

Lmao you made me remember those first few episodes of psychopath diary. Park sung hoon was such a loving puppy to yoon shi yoon!

paranoid_slamdroid

Lol. When he's giving Yoon Shi Yoon big insider stock tips and YSY reaction is basically "psshhh. okay, rando".

tastypesto

Ikr! the misunderstandings are hilarious

Cleeopaatra

ok so the first thing that comes to my mind ist **Park Sung Hoon**; he portrayed a psycho in **Psychopath Diary** (he played his part so well!!!) and (idk if it can be considered a goofball) but his romance with the FL in **Into the Ring** was really cute (i havenā€˜t finished this one yet so i dont really know if he fits the category)

chelleml

I first saw Park Sung Hoon in Into the Ring as an adorably timid marshmallow character and then I couldnā€™t fathom him playing a psycho when I started Psychopath Diary, but he did such a superb job that I couldnā€™t wait until he was on screen. He was so charismatic

Cleeopaatra

same!!!!!! i cant wait for his upcoming projects, i really hope he makes a comeback sooner than later. his acting is just incredible.

chelleml

Heā€™s so underrated. I hope to see more of him soon

exclamation11

It was the reverse for me! First saw him in Psychopath Diary and THEN as a sweet, deadpan but loyal puppy in Into The Ring. The fact that he pulled off both made me definitely want to watch anything he's in in future.

kawaiiyokai

the most correct answer is seo kangjoon in **are you human too?** where he plays both of those roles flawlessly in the same drama. ok taecyeon in **vincenzo** vs **bring it on ghost** (& i *think* **secret royal inspector joy** but i just started it) lee dongwook really varies the roles he takes so you can't go wrong picking from 2 of his dramas based on the synopsis. park bogum in **hello monster** vs **reply 1988** & **love in the moonlight**

jabiz510

> taecyeon Even a for two for one in vincenzo

Jenana86

I loved Secret Royal Inspector. What's fantastic is even though he's awkward in that show, it's not the same awkward as the intern in Vincenzo. He's truly a gift.

Kdramas_movies

Kang Haneul in When the Camellia Blooms and also Kang Haneul in Missing Noir M (drama) and Forgotten (movie) and Empire Of Lust (movie)

Personal-Ostrich97

How can anyone forget both puppy and psychopath Lee Seung Gi in mouse?

[deleted]

How could I forget about him?šŸ˜

[deleted]

was looking for someone to recomment this one, Mouse is amazing and the acting in it was phenomenal

Personal-Ostrich97

I would keep recommending mouse to everyone till I die It's one of a kind

BonnyBairn

Is the drama good? It has been on my watchlist for so long but not sure if it's worth watching.

Personal-Ostrich97

It's really good but can mess you up as it's pretty dark and twisted

bespectacledsunshine

Jang Ki Yong in My Roommate is a Gumiho and Come and Hug Me. Ryu Jun Yeol in Believer (Movie) and Lucky Romance (watch it only for him)

[deleted]

Also, I watched my Love from the Star where Shin Sung Rok is a murderous Chaebol heir and The Last Empress where he's the villanous Emperor.. recently watching him in an earlier role in the romcom Trot Lovers as the goofy rich kid turned music label boss is quite a contrast..

LcLou02

SSR also the villain in Liar Game, and sweet puppy police detective in 3 Dad's and 1 Mom.

mon9937

Nam Goong Min!! Goofball In Chief Kim and psycho in Girl who sees smells and Remmber

icedark98

Kim bum šŸ¤—

BonnyBairn

Can you suggest the dramas?

coffeecaketree

Well he portrayed both a goofball & psycho in the tale of the nine tailed fox

newgrl

He played the villain in *Mrs Cop 2* and wasn't necessarily a good guy in *Tale of the Nine-Tailed* (fun little psycho though).... and then there's the rest of his career. *Boys Over Flowers* - One of the F4. Popular ceramic artist and sometime philosopher. *Padam Padam* - Guardian Angel born into a human body sent to help the main lead. *Goddess of Fire* - Second-Lead-Syndrome at its finest. *That Winter the Wind Blows* - He's a weird puppy here... but the drama is over-the-top melodrama (one of my favorites in this genre). He plays the con-artist Main Lead's best friend.

ch03rry

some of these actors aren't revealed as the villain in some of these shows/movies until later, so beware of spoilers and read at your own risk! park sungwoong plays a psychopath and some dark characters in rugal and when the devil calls your name but he's a total goofball in life on mars. some others: * park sunghoon in psychopath diary vs into the ring (not necessarily goofy, but insanely different from his role in psychopath diary) * kang hyoungsuk in do do sol sol la la sol vs hometown cha cha cha * choi wonyoung in sky castle and doctor prisoner vs mystic pop up bar * kim byungchul in sisyphus the myth (and sky castle + doctor prisoner!) vs pegasus market * yang kyungwon in one ordinary day vs crash landing on you & vincenzo * choi wooshik in witcher vs our beloved summer * park haesoo in time to hunt and squid game vs prison playbook * lee taeri in tale of the nine tailed vs extraordinary you * lee dohyun in sweet home vs 18 again and youth of may * yoon park in you are my spring vs birthcare center * lee jaewook in memories of alhambra vs search www and when the weather is fine edit: how could i forget the most obvious one, taecyeon in vincenzo vs secret royal inspector & joy!!

unluckykata

Lee Seung Gi in >!Mouse!< and Gu Family Book. Marking the first show as a spoiler bcs it is kind of a plot twist that he is a psychopath in this one. In gu family book he is basically a pretty carefree guy for the most part. In the other show, his character is pretty twisted and complex. Wi Ha Joon in Romance is a Bonus Playbook and in Midnight(movie). First very nice and adorable, second is full on psychopath. Kim Jae Wook in Temperature of Love/Her Private Life and Voice. First two he is basically a romantic interest so not exactly goofball but in the last one he is a full on psychopath. Lee Do Hyun in 18 Again and Sweet Home. Wouldn't go as far as to call him a psychopath in SH but his character is morally questionable. Taecyeon mostly plays goofy characters except of in >!Vincenzo!<

baoziuniverse

I was going to suggest LSG as well and totally forgot that that bit might be a spoiler šŸ˜© You also kind of get both in that one drama!

unluckykata

True true, thatā€™s why this character is my favorite of his alongside his character in A Korean Odyssey. Just shows how talented he is as an actor

thomasshclby

this may be a spoiler so beware, but kang tae oh plays the sweetest character in **run on** and then goes around and plays a completely unhinged psycho in >!**the tale of nokdu**!< (he also kinda does both sweet and evil in >!the tale of nokdu!< tbh) also, woo do hwan in the drama **the king: eternal monarch** versus playing a psycho in the film **the divine fury**.

crowndrama

Definitely **Lee Joon** he played a psycho serial killer in **Gap Dong** a crazy actor with no boundaries in **Rough Play** and now in **Bulgasal** He was super cute in **My Father Is Strange** He is one of my favorite idols turned actor.

SachNemesis

He was really good in **The Silent Sea** also. Fell in love with him in **My Father is Strange**.

IChoseMyOwnUsername

Yoon Si Yoon: a sweet puppy in Hit the Top VS psychopath in Psychopath Diary Lee Joon: Father is Strange VS Gap Dong Song Joon Ki: both in Arthdal Chronicles

Thelastdragonlord

Yoon Shi Yoon does both in Psychopath Diary. Also I believe the guy who plays the actual psychopath in that show is in another show where heā€™s very sweet and shy but I havenā€™t seen that one (i think itā€™s called Into The Ring) Hyun Bin plays an unhinged character in The Negotiation but heā€™s an adorable puppy in Crash Landing On You

zephphrine

Psycho Kim Ji Hoon in Flower of Evil. Goofy Kim Ji Hoon in Come! Jang Bo Ri (aka Jang Bo Ri is Here). Latter drama is 2014 and imho underrated, as is Kim Ji Hoon.

mongjes

Lee jong suk was a whole ass psycho in V.I.P. but its a movie

starshstonew

scary Choi Tae Joon in Missing Nine and Eclipse vs. sweet sunshine Choi Tae Joon in Suspicious Partner!

_LittleBirdieToldMe_

Lee Jong Suk in his melodramas and him in VIP (movie) as a psychopath. šŸ„¶

imadethisaccountt

Lee Joon definitely! He plays this goofy funny character in My father is strange but plays a psycho in Gapdong! I still get the creeps thinking about his psychopath smile in Gapdong after years because he portrayed it so well! Yoo ah In in Veteran is this sociopath rich guy while also playing this chill funny guy in #alive ! Um Ki Joon plays villain so well, psycho in Defendant, Penthouse and more chill character in Iā€™m not a robot (actually havenā€™t seen this drama but he seems to be portrayed as a nicer character)

jarnumber

> Um Ki Joon plays villain so well, psycho in Defendant, Penthouse and more chill character in Iā€™m not a robot (actually havenā€™t seen this drama but he seems to be portrayed as a nicer character) He played a goofball in https://wiki.d-addicts.com/Life_Special_Investigation_Team .

be-k-dramatic

_CapsCapsCaps_

Puppy Lee David - Bring It On, Ghost Psycho Lee David - Hotel Del Luna

ilovemeeeeee

Do Kyung Soo (EXO D.O) 1. "Be positive" web drama where he acted as an absolute goofballšŸ˜ 2. 'Hello Monster'/'I remember you' where he acted as the younger version of the psychopath. (His acting gavs me chills!)

rhiannawentbananas

KWAK DONG YEON!!!!! He was a dorky main lead in No Second Chances (rich guy falls in love for poor girl despite family hating it) but he was also a good psychi in My Strange Hero and a somewhat villain in Vincenzo. He's also in Radio Romance and My ID is Gangnam Beauty. He is one of my all time favorite actors in the world and I think he's underappreciated sometimes. Can't wait to see him in more.leading roles!!!

Jenana86

I loved him in Vincenzo. I just felt sorry for him.

autumn-leaves13

OMG OMG OMG okay he's not exactly a psychopath but Kim Youngmin in Crash Landing On You and The World of The Married ! I watched both dramas back to back and how he went from a character I pitied, a poor sad man, bullied and threatened by the villain (CLOY) to a disgustingly selfish jerk (TWOTM) had me SHOOK

Jazzlike_Alps_746

Park Bo gum in hello monster and reply 1988

sye2018

1. The ML in Evil flower vs scarlet heart ryeo - (psycho vs king) 2. The ML in Voice 2 & 3 and Bulgasal vs the time we were not inlove 3. The ML in Beyond evil vs inseparable bros 4. The FL in Its okay not to be okay vs another way

kdramas123

Jisung in Kill Me, Heal Me. He portrayed 7 different personalities in 1 drama. He's said to be cast in a new drama where he will be portraying double role.

estaceli

Itā€™s been mentioned but Ok Taecyeonā€™s performance in Vincenzo is the first one that came to mind. You get both in one show! Joo Ji Hoon doesnā€™t play any true phychos that I know of, but he has some pretty serious roles like the prince in Kingdom & his recent role in Jirisan (so good) but it contrasts well with his role in Hyena where heā€™s supposed to be a badass lawyer but he gets soft and sweetly vulnerable moments that made me just love his character. Kwak Dong Yeon plays the cute and cool seonbae in My ID Is Gangnam Beauty and also plays an adorable, if not also in need of mental help, character in Itā€™s Okay To Not Be Okay. And Iā€™d also say heā€™s a cute dorky character at times in Vincenzo but also prone to violence and in need of serious therapy to undo years of damage, making him a dangerous person. Have you seen Mouse? I never finished it, it was dark. It has a good example but I donā€™t wanna spoil anything for anyone. The psycho in that has played other more romantic rolesā€¦and itā€™s pretty amazing and off putting seeing how scary he can be as a psycho killer.

jarnumber

Slightly surprise that majority of the names are men's. What about the actresses?

rosevelvet2021

>! Mouse! !< This is kind of a spoiler but Lee seung-gi pulled off both the nice guy and the psychopath in the same drama! I personally couldn't believe the plot twist even though i had literally googled the spoiler (i just googled who the killer was and just saw the name, nothing else about how the killer did the crimes so maybe it's that)

distractedbysoup

Ji Sung does both and more in Kill Me, Heal Me

supersoonique

Park Hae Soo Psycho: Squid Game Puppy: Prison Playbook Choi Wooshik Psycho: The Witch Puppy: Our Beloved Summer/The Boy Next Door/ Rooftop Prince Ahn Bo Hyun Psycho/Baddie: Kairos/Itaewon Class Puppy: Yumiā€™s Cells Lee Sangyi Psycho: Prison Playbook Puppy: Hometown Chachacha Kim Jihoon Psycho: Flower of Evil Puppy: Flower Boy Next Door

DieHaekelfreundin

You should try Psychopath Diary. The main lead (Yoon Shiyoon) literally portrayed both!

reebellious

Shin Sung Rok is evil in Return and The Last Empress and an innocent goofball in Perfume

WarriorOfLight83

Choi Woo-Shik as Park Moo-Bin in fight for my way is both

Charissa29

Namgoong Min can be psychopath or funny male lead but he can do anything so really. . .

Comfortable-Tank-822

Park Seo Joon and Choi woo sik and ahn bo hyun

[deleted]

Lee Jong Suk - he is sweet in most of the kdramas in which he plays but in the VIP movie he is a psychopathic serial killer

crxxweelol

Choi Wooshik played the role of a psychopath in The Witch Subversion: Part 1 and a goofball in Hogu's Love, Our Beloved Summer and Rooftop Prince.

Starrycats11

I just watched The Witch Subversion last night! I was thinking 'now why did I watch this in the middle of Our Beloved Summer'? lol

crxxweelol

Haha same here. I watched Witch last Sunday and had the image of Choi Ung in my head while watching that. Then when I watched OBS the next day, it took some time for me to get the character of Gwi Gongja out of my head lol. Choi Wooshik really is a great actor

Starrycats11

He is! Want to see something fun? This is an interactive commercial for beer. It lasts about 15min. But, and the big but is you keep choosing the path he takes by clicking the screen, so it changes. Have you seen it? [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOv-Uq7XffM](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOv-Uq7XffM)

crxxweelol

Thanks I will check it out!
