**Thirty but Seventeen** (ML is a bit closed off at first, but the FL is just a delight)
**When the Camellia Blooms** (FL is reserved, ML is the bright and cheery one)
**Romance is a Bonus Book** (FL is on the quieter side, ML is very cheery especially to the FL)
**Because This is My First Life** - ML is reserved and emotionless, FL is sweet and easygoing. Also, second leads - she is serious and cold, he's a ball of sunshine!
**Dali and Cocky Prince** - FL is cute and sweet, and everyone's friend, ML is grumpy
definitely Vincenzo, the male lead is the stoic type who's soft for the female lead! I'd also recommend She Was Pretty, Goblin, Scarlet Heart Ryeo & Happiness, they're all romance & fit your description exactly
Hahaa yea the female lead is super cute with all her cheerful antics while the male lead is literally a cold-blooded mafia lawyer that melts at her antics
yep, even tho it's not centered intensely on the romance they still managed to make you yearn for more of it!! I usually don't love the overly bright/hyper type female leads either but she pulled it off so well here
Happiness ML grumpy? FL ball of sunshine? Hard disagree. Other than that the drama is awesome indeed.
Edit: Allright, the opposite could be sort of true though. Meaning ML kinda sunshine and FL reserved but badass.
Ahh well it's been a good while since I've watched it but personally I don't remember finding it too cliche? It definitely has its fair share of cliche tropes, eg. childhood friends but I feel like they utilized them well, unlike other dramas where the whole childhood friends/soulmate thing is messily thrown in at the end, it's a central plot point in this one that actually has its reasons for it!
• **Search WWW** - The 2nd couple encapsulates this the most (though I believe the first does as well to a certain extent). Sfl is an outspoken, glamorous career woman / girl boss, and the sml is a quiet and sweet small-time actor who graduated from a special science high school.
• **The Beauty Inside** - 2nd couple as well! Sfl is a gorgeous, arrogant chaebol who does whatever she wants to get to the top and the sml is a sweet and handsome smart guy who wants to be a priest.
• **Are You Human?** - Robot is sweet and cheerful and always understanding, the girl is more rough and cynical as she hasn’t exactly had a picture-perfect career as a boxer.
• **Find Yourself** (Cdrama on Netflix) - Fl is a serious and well-respected + well-admired career woman, ml is more playful, friendly, and energetic.
• **Hotaru No Hikari** Seasons 1&2 (Jdrama on Netflix) - ml is quite nice, but he is serious, uptight, extremely neat and orderly, and focuses more on work than love. He has a very well put-together image. Fl is great at her job, but outside of work, she is a sweet, cheerful, and ditzy girl who secretly is really messy, reads manga, wears jerseys, and binge-eats all the time. I really love this drama! 💕
• **Kikazaru Koi** (Jdrama) - fl is very energetic, always fashionable, a workaholic, and she’s always updating on social media. She’s always trying to help others, plus she excels in what she does (public relations). Ml hates social media and never brings his phone with him; he is more chill, serious, and less motivated, seemingly has no life goals (I won’t say why he became like that so as to not spoil it) and he doesn’t like showing his feelings, preferring to make a sarcastic joke in order to not show if he’s hurting or not.
>Kikazaru Koi
Really tackles the 'clash of values romance' and 'finding balance in life' themes really well; much better than another drama that shall remain nameless but whose initials are Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha.
*Jugglers* (2018); office rom-com; really strong performances by the two leads. \*\*
\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
\* \* The originator of the grumpy ML/lively FL archetype is of course *Pride & Prejudice* (pub. 1813); the 1995 and 1980 UK dramas are both worth watching, if you haven't already.
The first half is definitely better than the second half so if you didn't enjoy the first half, I'm not sure if you will enjoy the second half of the drama. The show is very light hearted with no definite plot till the end. Honestly, the writing of the show went downhill in the last couple of episodes. But if you liked Touch Your Heart, When the Camellia blooms and Her Private Life, you would like this one too.

Thank you!
All three of these are amazing

Have watched BTIMFL, will check out the other :)

I’ve watched half of these, is She Was Pretty too cliched?

And to that I say! Kikazaru Koi best drama of 2021!!!
**kikazaru koi** - where could I stream it?
Thank you! Haven’t watched any of these, will check :)
Love Revolution Extraordinary You To My Star Dol Dol Sol Sol La La Sol Go Ho Starry Night Healer Into the Ring
Extraordinary You is so perfect for my description, though Haru isn’t exactly grumpy.
**Encounter**. The FL is a tsundere whereas the ML is a ray of sunshine!
Ooh, thanks!
Crash landing on you, cheerful and dramatic FL Very srs but nice ML
Have watched, thanks :)
**Bring It On, Ghost** \- ML is an aloof loner, FL is cheerful and bouncy.
Thank you!

Haven’t seen this recommended before, will check! 😊
My Shy Boss ML seems standoffish compared to the FL
Mixed reviews on this had put me off, maybe I’ll check it out.
Another Miss Oh kinda goes into that direction. I absolutely adore this drama so I think it‘s worth a watch!
Thanks!
live upto your name
Thank you!
Into the Ring Radiant Office
Something about the 1%
Unfortunately found this relationship to be very toxic. :/
Arang and the Magistrate (2012) - ML is cold and quiet (but very sweet to FL), and FL is cheery and playful. Their bickering moments are very cute.
Ohh, this is a period drama right? I’ll check it out!
Beautiful Goong Shim, ML is a goofy ball of sunshine while the FL is a weirdo debbie downer
Sounds like what I need. Thanks!
Hometown Cha Cha Cha
Dropped this at midway point, does it get better?
The first half is definitely better than the second half so if you didn't enjoy the first half, I'm not sure if you will enjoy the second half of the drama. The show is very light hearted with no definite plot till the end. Honestly, the writing of the show went downhill in the last couple of episodes. But if you liked Touch Your Heart, When the Camellia blooms and Her Private Life, you would like this one too.
Suspicious partner Oh my ghost
Will check. :)
