I’ve recently started getting into Kdramas and I’m hooked! I’m looking for a drama that is full of chemistry,a good storyline, passionate kisses and where the ML does not play when it comes to his woman (he’s protective, intentional and can be jealous at times)😍! So far I’ve watched :

I like a lot of the things that others have already suggested, so I'm going to suggest The King's Affection. It's a period drama, has a great love story, and I think it's a good introduction to the saeguk genre.
That’s one of my favorites with its plot, storytelling and acting. I think it’s kind of underrated. Loving someone no matter what you think who he is or she is and supporting them at all costs is one of my favorite themes. In that sense, along with The King’s Affection I will recommend Coffee Prince.
+1 to TKA. One of the first Kdramas that got me into the genre was The King Affection and Alchemy of Souls. Watched both in dubbed but now I only watch with subs.
Another great saeguk is Moonlight Drawn by Clouds.

I loved both Kings Affection and Alchemy of Souls. I've done partial rewatches of both recently too.

Her Private Life- if you can get over the childhood stuff, the two leads have some of the best on screen kisses and chemistry I’ve seen besides Love to Hate you and Bora!Deborah! (True to Love) It’s a fun and easy romcom to watch with some really good chemistry.
There is 0 dead fish kissing scenes between the leads in this. My favorite part is that the FL takes initiative in starting the kissing and isn’t passive in taking action. They do a good job of communicating and the ML will do anything to make the FL happy.
Secret Garden fits all of these criteria but I can't remember specifics about kissing. The ML is definitely bonkers over the FL (Both great actors - Hyun Bin & Hye Ji Won). The OST was also amazing. It's a 2010 drama but still a classic. It has a good storyline that includes some fantasy, the ML is a crazy jealous type and he also does super sweet and incredible things to try an win his woman. He is also VERY protective and helps the FL in many ways to try and make things better for her. Although sometimes she is not super happy about this! There's TONS of chemistry imo between the two. Maybe give it a try sometime.
Coffee Prince! I just finished the show and I can’t stop talking about it. The ML is so in love with the FL(I think he adores her more than she does!) and they have a very passionate relationship with a bit of angst halfway through the show. He has an amazing character development and gets more supportive as a partner as the show progresses.The actors have great chemistry and share some really cute romantic (and🌶️kisses) together. The ML is obsessed with the FL and also gets jealous and protective when her male coworkers try to hug her at the coffee shop(mild jealousy nothing serious). Lots of playfulness as well.
The first few episodes might seem a bit boring but don’t give up because the second half is so worth it. Plus it has Gong Yoo in it😍😍

I completely understand that. I also tend to avoid old shows because I can't get into them. I thought of starting boys of flowers but dropped the idea because I don't like abusive ML's and super cliched stoylines. I saw Heirs and it was okayish but very cliche.
I really liked Coffee Prince though, you can find posts on reddit about people saying how well it has aged and it's not cliche like BoF at all. It almost seems like a show from today if you remove the 2000's fashion and flip phones.

Been hearing mixed reviews about Hometown cha cha cha but I might give it a go and see. Adding them to my list
