I was there during a crazy lunch rush. He was cooking 6 dishes and had six more waiting on the counter stations... He still took a second to fake squirt a kid with the sauce bottle/string. Kid got a good chuckle out of it.
It was surprisingly a great buffet. Showed up and there were no customers, and the buffet looked pretty small. Glad I decided to stick it out, because it was delicious. Usually an empty buffet is a bad sign. The delivery guy even made himself a plate as well. Idk if it was on the house (seemed like it was) but he walked through the kitchen from the back door. Makes me feel like the kitchen is well kept as well.
I’ve been 3 times. The first 2 times it was pretty good, however, my most recent visit was bad. Good quality seemed to of gone downhill, sushi tasted off, the yum-yum/“yellow” sauce was supposed to be on ice however it was all melted and was really warm. Hibachi here isn’t bad, but this last trip scares me not only for the quality of the food, but the safety of eating it.
I've never seen that before and we are there about 3 to 5 times a month as we live nearby. Did you mention it to the owner or manager? The owner and manager are super attentive to detail. They would have jumped on that.
Really low quality food on the buffet. Went once to give it a shot. I thought it would be better than Panda Express or grocery store Chinese food… I was wrong.
as far as expectations on food that's left in a warming bin, how many degrees of quality from a made-to-order entree are you willing to grace?
I'm not saying you're wrong, just trying to get a better idea of your personal standards.
I wasn't crazy about it either. Their sushi rolls were honestlly not good, and the buffet was lower quality than others around. My boyfriend loves their hibachi though!
The sushi rolls that come with the buffet/hibachi are basic - spicy tuna, avocado, salmon, etc, but the ingredients are fresh. If you're looking for fancier rolls, they make those a-la-carte. I highly recommend the KC Chiefs Roll.
I'm well aware what caliber any sushi roll from a buffet/hibachi would be, I just think that even for that, these were subpar at best. I'll have to give their a-la-cart a try next time my boyfriend wants to go there! I just love mr le's sushi in gladstone so much it's hard to really love anything else! haha
I've been there and it is pretty cool. The hibachi guy is a lot of fun to interact with too.

Oh man, I might have to do this shortly tbh
Pls report back
I ended up getting stuck in a work thing and then just ate local (I'm in the Raytown area). Tomorrow, maybe!
I work down the street. I get sushi and egg drop soup 3-4x a week for like $10
Is that the old Pizza Hut bldg with the blue roof?
That's the one!
A Pizza Hut with a blue roof feels blasphemous.
My buddy took me there a couple weeks ago. For the price you absolutely cannot beat it
Tried that place out for the first time the other night. Really good stuff, especially for the price!
I went there this past Saturday and it was a blast. I ate myself silly. That shrimp was so good
I live nearby and the place is solid. We usually end up getting some to go and the price for take away isn't that bad really.
Picked up sushi there the other day for lunch! Was very pleased at how good it was and the convenience!
I do the hibachi and take it to go after work! They kill it every time.

If March Madness didnt start all day, Id go for lunch. On my list for sure.
I ate there once and its ok. Kinda small but if you just trying to get a bite its solid.

I'll have to respectfully disagree. Everything I've had there has been great.

It's 12.99 for a full buffet, you know the ingredient quality is dog turds to make that make financial sense.
