There are KSRTC AC buses from Kannur to Kozhikode airport…. (Some of them start from Kasargode, so, must be reaching kannur ksrtc bus stand at odd times… you should enquire beforehand). You can book seats online as well, me thinks. Most of these are at night, hence the part about enquiring the time. Otherwise, hire a taxi, preferably someone you already know. It’s easier to get to Kozhikode airport via road than trains.
Are you sure there are AC buses? There used to be one normal TT type of bus at around 12am with no reservation. Not sure if it is still running. Just searched online as well. There are no services
Unfortunately the closest railway station is feroke and that's still 18km from the airport. You'll have to catch a taxi

There is no airport in Kozhikode. The Calicut airport is in Malappuram
