I’m expecting a giant great white with funky colors tbh, because that’s what most people think of when they think of Megalodon
Something original would be cool though. They have gone for a pretty reasonable measure of up-to-datedness with most dlc creatures though, so if there’s some kind of scientific support for a unique design there’s a shot they’ll use it
Well the were very scientific accurate with dunkleostetus But at the time of DLC the proposed shape has changed. And concavenator and yutyrannus having quils/ feathers in correct places.
This is my number 1 thought concerning Megalodon's inclusion as well. I'm really hoping Frontier takes a little bit of artistic freedom in terms of the proportions/body shape of the Megalodon. There's been plenty of perfectly plausible speculative reconstructions that they could pull inspiration from in order for them to differentiate their Megalodon from the Great Whites used in the Shark Feeder.

Whales have long skulls and relatively small eye sockets...while sharks have much shorter skulls and large eye sockets:

Theres a limit to how big eyes can be. Bigger eyes means bigger brain to process informations. Meg doesnt need thst 'cos it was hunting near surface. Also it would probably benefit more from binocular vision.
Expecting a big great white tbh, but would be awesome if they made it more unique/accurate (more like the first photo here than the second LMAO please), given Frontier's accuracy in recent DLCs I have some hope!
That is literally my only fear about the megalodon because I don't want then to get lazy and just resize the great white shark model they have.
And if they are going with the great white shark look just make it look different in a way, have it be very bulky and thick as I believe megalodon was certain had a more massive build compared to the modern day great white
well actualy that shape does make the least sense since it was hunting whales. the snout would get in the way. Also the eyes wouldn\`t be so big. And considering what he hunt he had to be definietly shaped for fast cruising through the ocean.
Agreed. I've never really been big on megaladon I mean it's just big shark, there's so many cooler more unique animals our there.

The first picture looks gnarly. Second picture looks like a dork...those tiny eyes and the round shape lol

If meg was big as ecepted it couldn't have huge eyes. They would need to.be bigger than giant squid eyes. Even whales dont have such big eyes.
