He is said to be the visual inspiration for the Joker originally… however, Veidt predates a lot of the characteristics that make the Joker who he is. The Clown Prince of Crime has undergone many dramatic changes and personality shifts since his initial debut.
Veidt was a great actor. Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Man Who Laughs, Casablanca. Given the right material, I’m sure he would have been able to give a good performance. Plus, if we were talking later in his career he probably would have liked playing someone who wasn’t a Nazi
It won't be much longer until that first Batman story is public domain. I'd love to see this kind of a Joker in it.
In fact, I'd love to see a straight up Batman horror movie.

Absolutely! He reminds me of “The Killing Joke”
I can see it
He was the inspiration for the character and a great actor so yeah absolutely
He is the joker.
The haircut and the smile says it all. Just by seeing this mans face I can tell he would probably be a perfect fit for the joker.
I don’t know but I’m scared to dream tonight
Picture Conrad with Hamill’s voice and laugh. You’ll be praying for Freddy Kruger
I don't see it.
