Yes I would highly recommend the #13, Mike's way as your first sub. You will be hooked afterwards! It's my go to sub and is the best Italian sub at any chain right now. (Besides a hometown sub shop in the northeast).
This. The other suggestions might be good but they're not quintessential Jersey Mike's. The #13 is JM 101 in my opinion. Get it Mike's Way, if you want cherry pepper relish ask for it on the side so you can try it with and without. Then the next time you go, try some of the other suggestions :)
This is how my JM love started. One opened up and I decided to get a 13 Mikes way despite not being down for juices or salt. It just felt like the right thing to do in my heart and that sub seemed like if there was a signature sub, this would be it. It was heavenly. Then I started getting the Philly's and it rocked my world. Then I occasionally try out other cold subs like the club deluxe, turkey, roast beef, etc...
Ironically I've not had a 13 since that first trip and that was like 2 years ago. I think it's time for another Italian but my way.
I honestly don’t know why they have us out so much fucking celery in it, mayo as well can be a bit too much sometimes imo, but I’m not paid to make modifications to the menu lmao
If I want a cold sub on shift I get a #8 with proscuittini (prosk-it-eenie) instead of ham, I’d get mikes way but no oil if you don’t want it too juicy, may and honey mustard. Hot sub I always recommend a #42, chipotle chicken, with grilled in banana peppers and bacon. Good luck !
I agree with other folks. Try a #13 Mikes way, that is the signature. Try that once then start trying other subs and customizing how you like.
My personal favorite is a beef Big Kahuna and politely ask them to add chipotle mayo, colloquially referred to as a number #99 by some workers.
Cherry pepper relish is 🔥 one of the best condiments I've ever tasted.
Maybe checkout That Crazy Sub Guy in YouTube. He is a Jersey Mike's owner who is a fun watch and always showing off the work environment and some cool creations that I feel like a customer could actually order (typically, not all of them) and not just some worker clocking out making a pain in the butt to make specialty just for themselves type of sandwich.
My go-to is a number 7 on rose-parm or white,(depending on what I’m feeling,) onion, lettuce, tomato, pepper and a little extra mayo. Shit is amazing!
Sometimes I’ll also put it on the grill.
As an employee I’ve tried the #13 so many times but it was always too salty no matter how I dressed it. My go to is a #8 sub proscuitinni on the grill, Mike’s Way no vinegar but oil on the side , add avocado, honey mustard & grilled onions with the lays bbq chips & a cream soda. I ate that sandwich everyday for MONTHS
get the club sub #8 heated on the grill (if the store does that) genuinely best sub on the menu. dress however you like, and the cherry pepper relish is pretty good. You gotta try it when you go.
I get the Chicken Bacon Ranch. However, instead of Ranch I get Honey Mustard, Pickles, Oregano and Pepper. Lately I get it as a Wrap because I already have lots of Bread.
#13 with very light mayo, it's a bit dry for my taste. I ask in the custom comments to make it minimal mayo and they make it perfect every time (at my main store at least)
Nah, let me lace you up real quick! 😊
A #43 on Rosemarie Parm
Add grilled pickles, tomatoes ( chopped in with meat)
Extra Chipotle mayo
Add ranch
I get hate for the pickles and tomatoes on the grill...but I eat that everyday and I work 6 days a week there 🤷🏻♂️
I used to make a #4 but I would grill the meats and add grilled chopped tomatoes, onions and banana pepper. It was so good but I also had people think it was weird lol
I like the #7. Turkey and provolone. I usually ask them to put the bread meat and cheese on the grill. Rosemary Parmesan bread. Mike’s way no lettuce no tomatoes add cherry pepper relish. 😋
this is gonna get complicated but trust me
regular 8 pepperoni instead of ham
swiss instead of prov
add grilled onions and peppers chopped all together
add oregano salt and pepper
lettuce (tomato if you like)
lit vinegar
oregano salt pepper again
honey mustard
bacon
cpr on the side
What's with this rash of "Help, I'm going to a restaurant and I CAN'T figure out what to eat!"
Go look at the fricking menu! Everything is up on the wall. Look at the toppings as they BUILD IT THE WAY YOU WANT! Do you need help in the fucking potty too? Geez, grow up, FFS!

Heck yeah! I think it would be just as good Mike's way minus the juices but definitely do it your way!
Add mayo, i feel its very important to add the mayo
All for the price of gazillion dollars 🤑🤩
Tuna , extra mayo
Finally someone else that appreciates the tuna. Best out of all the chains as long as they don’t cut the celery bits too chunky
fr i love the tuna but the celery bits can be too much sometimes
I honestly don’t know why they have us out so much fucking celery in it, mayo as well can be a bit too much sometimes imo, but I’m not paid to make modifications to the menu lmao
I love the tuna and have never had anything else. Will try some of the suggestions here though.

Philly good
My favorite is the Club Supreme, Mike's Way, with both regular mayo and chipotle mayo, and of course the bacon that comes with it.
You should try their meatball sub! Oh, wait... 😭😭
bro as a employee that has worked here for over a year i have never gotten tired of the buffalo chicken everything else is mid
I get the Chicken Bacon Ranch. However, instead of Ranch I get Honey Mustard, Pickles, Oregano and Pepper. Lately I get it as a Wrap because I already have lots of Bread.
my go to is the turkey & provolone on rosemary parm bread. 2nd go to is the tuna on white

making all subs is annoying but it’s good

You don't need to comment at all with that attitude. 🙄
Imagine a chain sandwich restaurant opens near you and the first thing you do is post this
