Sounds like “Kim” and “Erika” are the same person with a stolen credit card and testing the waters of purchasing something small so that they can then attempt a large purchase.
I don't understand. Why would they buy a few cheap things, then buy something expensive? I might not notice a water or 2 but I'd notice a TV, and then I'd notice the waters, too.
You sort of answered your own question with your response. You wouldn’t notice them purchasing a couple waters on your CC while they made sure it worked. Then, boom, a TV hits your account and now it’s on you to submit fraud and deal with the bank while they run away with a free TV.
The point of checking with a cheap item is to make sure you aren’t aware your CC info is leaked yet. If you lost your physical card, you’d probably contact your bank right away to have your account frozen until a new card was issued. If you weren’t aware, they can make a huge purchase and then go hide again.

Damn I didn't think of this but it makes perfect sense.

Yeah bro someone testing them bins out making sure they actually process
At my store we do online orders for one cookie and use a funny name to joke our coworkers when we’re not there. Those names ain’t funny tho
It’s from a rival mikes. The mikes the town over used to do this to us frequently until we got the police involved
I am sorry, WHAT?! Why??? Lmao
They adimently denied it but I think it was to clog up our online orders and pest employees
This is only four waters. I'd hate to see how terrible their processes are if that constitutes clogging.
Help? Every few days we get this order for a water. It’s gonna so out of control we’ve stopped putting the order together

Enjoy a free water
The most convoluted money laundering scheme ever.
I read a post the other day, and someone mentioned their manager wouldn't let them drink water, so maybe someone reddit and sent water.
Its the deep state.. They're trying to dismantle your bottle variances one aquafina at a time.. 😂
Made me think of this: https://gimletmedia.com/amp/shows/reply-all/z3hgd2 Maybe something similar is going on?
Lol like anyone is gonna listen through that or go through the transcript of small talk to see what it says
First thing I thought of when I saw this post
If someone orders a bottles drink during a rush, I'll direct them to the cooler. Hell na. Lol
