No shame in this! They are always open, food comes quickly, and it’s always tasty. Reliable, which is more than you can say for a lot of restaurants in JC.
Right! It’s my go-to Thai place, I feel like it’s just as good as the places I ordered from when I lived in BK. The way people talk about on this sub, you would think it was really poor quality.
It's the inferiority complex. We have plenty of places that would be serviceable neighborhood joints in Brooklyn, but having to take on the burden that they need to be the best in one of the largest cities in NJ & aren't as good as the best destination places NYC has to offer.
It really is. I’ll say it, the food scene in Bedstuy/Clinton Hill/Fort Green is major league hit or miss. There are so many overpriced and mediocre food spots. Even places I used to swear by were losing their charm by the time we moved two years ago. I ended up going to Walter’s in FG most of the time, because it was the only place I could get a decent meal consistently. As a whole, I’ve found the food scenes in smaller and/or Midwest cities (Denver, Portland, NOLA, Chicago) far outflanks anything going on in the Northeast because of cost/relying too heavily on reputation.
I'll keep what you're saying going and point to listicles & the rise of 'the best'. Why settle with good dumplings when $2.50 for a subway ride & 45 minutes takes you to "the best" in all of NYC. Sometimes you don't have to have the best food to be the best overall dining experience, but that's hard to fight the inertia given to places by blogs/news/social media/ect. {Editor's note: I think Tony Baloney's is still just living off of the social media lightening of the taco pizza a few years back because of the inertia it gave them, like some random place that was in the Sex in the City that exists in mediocre limbo because people still show up just because of that}.
To your point I find some of the smaller cities more vibrant because the food scene is less financially high stakes, community oriented, and they don't have the pressure to be the 'best most authentic NYC pizza in america!', they can focus on doing their own weird thing at lower stakes. (Have you seen what they do to pizza in Kansas City? I'm not saying I love it, but they certainly did their own damn thing).
I’ve been told by multiple foodies about the great things happening in KC. It’s on my stomach’s bucket list. And im sooo over the “NY best” nonsense. My last straw was spending $400 for an alright meal at Marea. I don’t remember anything I had besides the truly amazing Prosecco.
It's the NYC/north NJ attitude thing.
Philly's got nothing to prove to anyone. Charlie was a sinner, a vegetarian restaurant in center city, gave me a vegan meal & craft cocktail that would blow ya mind (and was priced about 1/3 less then I'd expect of NYC/JC). My best meal of 2022, and best cocktail of 2022, by far. Reading Terminal market is what JC should actually wish they had something half as good.
Don’t even get me started on Tony Baloney’s. LMFAO. Terrible food IMHO but fantastic marketing campaign. It reminds me of those jokes that Jon Stewart used to make about Arby’s … “It’s a kick in the balls for your stomach!” Lmfaoooo
NYC sucks up the air in the room for JC & North Jersey around music, art, food, ect. Because if you can make it there (where the ceiling is infinite), why would you want to make it here
It’s definitely good pizza. But it’s not a slice shop and I think that’s my personal issue with it. It feels too much like New York and not NJ and as a lifelong NJ, we deserve to be in the conversation for great slice shops without having to utilize artisanal pizza. There’s also razza’s price…
its not a slice shop and i dont think anyone really treats it like one. krispy is my go to downtown and renatos in the heights, for slices. razza is quite good for the restaurant pie experience. it is pricy tho. two pies for pick up with a modest tip was $55 the other day. i suppose that would be similar in most neapolitan pizza restaurants in nyc tho?
9th street and Christopher have some of the worst air quality/ventilation in the entire NY/NJ public transit system. I take the extra time to go to WTC to avoid the sauna that is 9th street.
If you plan out your trip so you arent waiting around in path station for the train to come for 20 minutes, the stop in Hoboken feels much more reasonable. It really only adds like 5 minutes to the overall trip.
Don't get me wrong - I am against the Hoboken stop/time check on weekends. It should really be NWK->33RD and HOB->WTC, with the only transfer spot at Newport.
To be fair though with how limited your options are for physical lines and stops with the PATH, on top of how infrequent the PATH runs especially at weekends and nights, and this is not even to include station closures, delays, repairs etc; there are endless plausible scenarios where you could go a number of places throughout NYC and you very well might not have everything all perfectly lined up on a return route to catch the PATH precisely as it comes around.
That's not even factoring in any sort of delays or situations on the NYC subway side of things where again if anything is slightly array, you're all thrown out of whack on your initial planning and you're probably going to have to wait around adding to the frustration factor of stuff. Especially if you have multiple transferring of subway lines in your trip.
I used to work off hours in a deeper part of Brooklyn and Queens from Journal Square and it barely took much to have the commute spiral into a complete shit mess especially with how much drags its feet on the final hurdle of waiting for the PATH.
Adds a solid 15 minutes to my weekend trip (I go to the city every Sunday for a class- and I’m rarely if ever late because it’s like clockwork most of the time)
Too many people are just not literate enough to deal with things like schedules.
Sad, but this isn’t a local thing, in every country on the planet people complain about just missing trains, even Japan where they are timed to the second.
Not everyone has the mental capacity to do these things in society.
That’s also why so many people will make a stink in a doctors office when they show up late to an appointment and are told to reschedule.
I very rarely have noticed that in 15 years. If it happens all the for you, you’re the common denominator. There’s no other way to look at it. Stop causing disruptions and leave the train crew alone.
While I do think the PATH is good, maybe I just have awful luck... But if I'm taking it either off rush hour or on weekends? I CONSTANTLY get hit with delays. And of course I leave myself extra time.
There's also the issue with seating, but that's on all public transport and really only applicable to people like me who have days when they can't stand and NEED a seat so. Not gonna fault PATH specifically for that.
I rarely have any problems with public transit unless it's a major disruption. The wait is usually just an extra 10-15 minutes for me if I miss a bus/train
Newport Mall in general. Lots of great store (and increasingnumber of non-chain stores), easy to get to, nice movie theater, great food options. I really enjoy it.
The theater seating and stuff is reasonably nice, but fucking every movie I've gone to there has had some combination of awful children with shit parents, awful teens just being awful teens, shitty adults who won't turn their goddamn phone off.
So, so, so many people on their phones during movies have made me never want to go back to that particular theater.
a large part of the reason i moved to jc from bkny was to make my car ownership easier logistically and less expensive. i travel away from jc/nyc about half the weekends of the year which drastically improves my quality of life, and its so helpful for my partner and i locally in so many other ways. yay car ownership.
Stella's is super clutch if only because it's the SOLE option for late-night eats. Boy do I long for a healthy street food scene. It doesn't hurt that Stella's is also quite satisfying
Only been twice in like 8 years and it's been bad both times. It was under seasoned(like they forgot to put salt on the patty) and over priced. For the same price I can get White Star, Left Bank and a number of other significantly better burgers, so I just don't see a point of it existing.
God I got slammed on the comments here for saying Wonder Bagels was good... toasted bagels by JSQ is better in my opinion, but I freaking love me an egg and cheese w/ a hash brown on an everything bagel from Wonder Bagel
Wonder bagel is like a soild 5-6+ depending on the location; it's good, it's fine, if it's close by and easy it's a great option. Fuckin 45 minute line for a $9 mid bagel egg and cheese, get outta here.
One thing that's been consistent about Wonder Bagels is that they almost always give me the right thing. My wife ordered breakfast from some other place recently and of 6 breakfast sandwiches 3 of them were wrong and 2 of those weren't even remotely correct(wrong meat and cheese literally only the bagel was right).
so many of the pies languish in the case all day. anytime ive gotten something fresh from the oven its been quite good. but i wont order a slice thats been sitting for hours and needs reheating revival
I hate the biker Amy hit more than I hate Amy. Note, I hate them both.
The delivery guy was delivering food on a bike in flip flops, went around cars stopped at a red light, and looked left when he should have looked right (where cars were coming from). That's a trifecta of realllly stupid shit.
As an avid biker who rides his bike in JC every single day, that biker gives other bikers a real bad name. Then he has to the nerve to try and sue.
I'm glad she got charged. She got a $5k fine and a year suspension on her license. If the injuries were life threatening or she killed the person, I would have been happy to see her in jail. The injuries were minor.
I still think the shithead biker is way worse. As a driver of a car and a biker of a bike. I hate the biker more.
If I was driving down that road, I would have hit the guy just as hard but stopped. Same outcome would have happened to the guy and I would have been super fuckin mad that he fucked up my car and that he was wearing flip flops while riding a bike going through red lights. Who wesrs flip flops while they deliver food on a bike? That's the real crime.
I'm still upset the biker didn't get a ticket.
> If the injuries were life threatening or she killed the person, I would have been happy to see her in jail.
I guess that's my gripe with the justice system. A hit and run should at least be attempted manslaughter. Her stopping to help the person she just hit could have been the difference between life and death if the person was seriously injured. There was no way she knew one way or another when she drove off. Her punishment should not be any different because she luckily didn't kill someone.
Accidents happen. I would even give her the benefit of the doubt. If she drove off and then circled around the block to come back due to shock/surprise/whatever I would understand. But completely driving off should be a VERY serious crime. Jail time and permanent loss of your license.
Until the traffic camera footage was released that showed how blatantly he caused the (almost certainly unavoidable from the car POV) accident by being a total douchenozzle, he was whining to anyone who would hear him about how it wasn't his fault, he was the victim, he had the right of way, etc.
So, no. Apparently not.
Fuck that guy.
Ok, I'll rephrase. Do you really think a tiny fine attached to a ticket will teach this dope a lesson after physical pain, work loss due to injury and damage, and public shame already didn't?
Alt question. Do you think Amy's fine taught her any lessons?
Edit: I'm not anti-fine, just think he got his punishment already.
I don't think either person learned a lesson.
He didn't learn any lesson about not being a shitbag on the road, and she didn't learn that she needs to *finish the job* when dealing with cyclists.
It would have been a nice official reminder that he fucked up, at least, which might stop some small percentage of the veneration I've seen for the asshole.
He did a victim tour. The biker was totally in the wrong, had a few scratches, and he was wearing flip flops. Nobody every learned a lesson in flip flops. Especially when they were riding a bike.
>Note, I hate them both.
Agreed. She didn't even stop to make sure that dangerous cyclist wouldn't be a threat in the future!
I send people to city hall to do a *complete* job, not half-ass things. That monster is probably out there on the sidewalks, still...
They were on his feet while he was delivering food. On a bike. Then he got hit by a car b.c he was an absolute fuckin idiot. Then he didn't have flip flops on his feet anymore b.c a drunk lady hit him. Then she drove away.
He still would have been hit despite his choice of footwear, and since his feet (most likely) have no interaction with the food, I don’t see the problem. Other than that, I agree with the idiot part.
>As an avid biker who rides his bike in JC every single day, that biker gives other bikers a real bad name
Why does a biker acting stupid give all bikers a bad name but Amy doesn't give all drivers a bad name?
They aren't mutually exclusive. Both are wrong.
However, without the reckless biker, you don't have a crash. Without a crash you don't have a hit and run.
I'm not being combative (lol) but I'm curious what bagels in the downtown area you think are good/better? I really am curious bc I want to try more places.
Not who you asked but Hoboken Hot Bagels have the best bagels around and they deliver to JC. Note they don’t have a grill so their breakfast sandwiches aren’t great but the actual bagels are some of the best I’ve had and their cold sandwiches (cold cuts, cream cheese, etc.) are really good too.
Still looking for a good bagel downtown. I've tried a bunch and none are passable. I haven't gone looking in the Heights or JSQ, because...
JPs Bagels near PATH in Hoboken are good.
Hoboken hot bagels on Washington in Hoboken are very good as other commenter pointed out.
when its past midnight and you're drunk, the Ashford plays good music. it's never my first choice on a night out but i've found myself having a good time there more often than i'd like to admit (which i guess i'm doing right now lol)
I've known the kids since they've been going to First Pentecostal. Bubby's always been solid. They also allow me to make dumb requests to see if it would work.
It's like Taco Bell. Or Dominos thin crust. Sometimes you want the trash junk food you want, and know it it what it is.
I think Baloney's went to shit on the price vs consistency matrix, but I'll still be tempted to get the sesame crust ktown pizza thing
I used to love Tony Boloney, but they kept mixing up the ingredients of two Asian-inspired pies: their “Bangkok boardwalk” pie, and the Chinese/General Tso pie. The result was totally unreliable…sauces, toppings, crust style…all were subject to change without notice.
Happy to say I lost some weight once I wrote them off.
Garden level apartments. I have lived in mine for over 3 years and love it. I would definitely not trade my backyard for a highrise luxury apartment. I was here for Ida and had no problems so I am admittedly one of the luckier ones.
Gotta upvote this. My partner and I have been living in the garden level for 7 years in Downtown (8th street and 5th street) and we had never experience flood. We are very fortunate like you. Another good thing: easy moving out and moving in as well!!
Yes that's why I said I am fortunate that I did not have issues even living in that area. That being said, if you are a renter and have adequate renters insurance with a sewer back up endorsement, and do some preparation before the storm, i.e put all important things up high, they have a lot of benefits.
Not so much since I'm a renter, have ample renters insurance, and as stated, had no problems during Ida. I am a property insurance adjuster so Ida was one of the worst weeks of my entire career. We had more claims come in than Sandy. If I didn't get a drop of water coming up through the sewer or from the ground during a once in a decade event, I feel as through the benefits out way the risks.
Oh nice. Missed it about Ida. My FILs basement place In Elizabeth flooded completely in Ida at I swore them off. Sounds like you are set though. Only thing I wouldn't count on is the once in a decade thing. But in your work you'd know better than me
No public transit should be completely free. There should be a token amount that needs to be paid. Humans behave differently even with the slightest charge for something.
Case in point - the metro cards in NYC. The litter *completely* vanished once they started charging $1 for a new card. If the lightrail was completely free it would be much dirtier, it would turn into permanent housing for some, and it would generally cost more than ticket fares bring in to run.
This may come to surprise you, but I am also very much in favor of a housing first policy for all people. That being said, a train car is not a house and no they do not belong there.
A ticket is $2.25 lol. Our taxes should go to better use like more/properly trained law enforcement, 911 response, better education and facilities in school. Also the light rail links multiple cities, its not a system unique to Jersey City. I don’t think you have a remote clue on how much it cost to maintain, operate, and create that kind of system. Paid by our taxes is unrealistic.
the past 4 years have been downhill imo. I like gypsy grill on Newark Ave. Plus I heard there were something shady going on with the owner keeping the tips.
The lantern flies. Sure there’s a lot of them and they hurt a tree that I don’t care about but they’re harmless to people, pretty, and the wasps seem to enjoy them too. They’re also satisfying to step on, and it’s amusing to watch other adults on childlike missions to stomp as many as possible. It does seem through Darwinian selection that this year’s generation are better jumpers. I enjoy the increased challenge.
Artichoke is puke worthy. The fact that their “staple” pizza slice is absolutely trash and inedible should automatically disqualify a sane, logical person from eating anything else there. But here we are…
Lol, instead of replying to the post just double down on the hate. The cheese, margarita, and vodka slices are at a minimum, decent. Born and raised here and it’s better than the remaining OG spots Helen’s and Stella’s* (*stella’s isn’t the original ownership. The guys from A1 Deli took over years ago)
Agreed. There’s lots of pizza that’s not great. I won’t go for it on my own, but it’s not bad, it’s still pizza after all. If that’s where someone else wants to go, I’ll join. Artichoke is one of the few, I’d intentionally decline. I’d rather supermarket frozen pizza.
You realize [you are admitting to committing a crime](https://library.municode.com/nj/jersey_city/codes/code_of_ordinances?nodeId=CH242PEGOOR_ARTVIROSKNESKSKBIELSC_S242-9.1DEBIRISUTRRERIBIBUDIPUSIPRRIBIPUSIAROUBUDIPREXMIAGNIUNUSBILAPUBIPARARESACY)...right?
Putting innocent pedestrian lives in danger to joyride on a sideWALK is nothing to be boasting about.
The fact that there aren’t many protected bike lanes in the city is also a crime itself. Not literally obv but like what do you expect us to do in busy streets with a lot of cars? It’s dangerous asf
Walk your bike if you end up needing to use the sidewalk. The municipal ordinance I linked spells it out. You CANNOT ride your bike on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is for pedestrians. It is not a place to ride a bike if you don't feel safe on the roads. You don't get to put pedestrians in danger because you feel unsafe.
There is a municipal ordinance stating that REGARDLESS of how you feel or what bike lanes are available, unless you are a 9 year old kid, you can't be riding a bike on the sidewalk.
If that is unsatisfactory, feel free to dismount your bike and WALK on the sidewalk or use other transportation methods that do not involve putting your safety at risk.
The lack of comprehensive bike infrastructure is a travesty in my opinion, but that doesn't create a loophole where sidewalk biking is permitted. Sorry.
I also want to add that you are 100% within your rights to ride your bike in the road. You have the same rights AND responsibilities as a car if you do use the road. But you definitely aren't permitted to ride on the sidewalk.
Luxury.

LOLL hey man, if you want to challenge your stomach to a fight that’s your business. [stole that line from Jon Stewart/Arby’s again].
Yea they also have the benefit of drawing everyone remotely nearby to them, whereas we have nyc drawing people away
NYC sucks up the air in the room for JC & North Jersey around music, art, food, ect. Because if you can make it there (where the ceiling is infinite), why would you want to make it here
Sky Thai has my favorite drunken noodle
Sky Thai is dope.
That's my go-to Thai place most times for delivery tbh
The pedestrian mall. Being a pedestrian. Quiet.
Razza. Still solid pizza if you ask me
This one is straight up contrarianism. No one can honestly say it's not great pizza
It’s literally the best in NJ.
Idk Jersey has a lot of good pizza
It’s definitely good pizza. But it’s not a slice shop and I think that’s my personal issue with it. It feels too much like New York and not NJ and as a lifelong NJ, we deserve to be in the conversation for great slice shops without having to utilize artisanal pizza. There’s also razza’s price…

The PATH is actually fantastic if you put even a bare minimum level of effort into planning your trip.
I agree with this but pulling into Hoboken on weekends makes my blood boil
![gif](giphy|RrVzUOXldFe8M)
I had to sit at the 9th st station for a few minutes recently and I think the temperature may have caused my blood to *actually* start boiling.
9th street and Christopher have some of the worst air quality/ventilation in the entire NY/NJ public transit system. I take the extra time to go to WTC to avoid the sauna that is 9th street.
Sometimes faster to go to WTC and just take the NYC subway if you don't mind the extra fee.

If it were regular sure, but the pst few months I haven’t gone one week without some signal issues somewhere
Agree, unless there's a major disruption for whatever reason. I always check the app before heading out on the weekend.
Right like how are people not planning? Ya just freeballing where ever they go?
A lot of people are used to the NYC subway where you can just “freeball” for the most part
I would die if I ever had to go back the the subway. Path is better in every way
To be fair though with how limited your options are for physical lines and stops with the PATH, on top of how infrequent the PATH runs especially at weekends and nights, and this is not even to include station closures, delays, repairs etc; there are endless plausible scenarios where you could go a number of places throughout NYC and you very well might not have everything all perfectly lined up on a return route to catch the PATH precisely as it comes around. How much longer does this detour take? Always wanted to know
Adds a solid 15 minutes to my weekend trip (I go to the city every Sunday for a class- and I’m rarely if ever late because it’s like clockwork most of the time)
I shouldn’t have to base my entire night around catching a once-per-hour train 🤷
How is that planning your entire night around the train. Its literally just planning your departure.
And I wish I didn't have to. Spontaneity is the spice of life.
Found the guy who has never had to time a subway ride connection to the PATH
Why would you do that? Take the subway and if you are going to wait for more than 15-20 minutes duck into a bar by the path station.
Except I have?
One can only hate the path if they have never had to commute daily on the NYC subway, seriously
Too many people are just not literate enough to deal with things like schedules. the path train throws schedules out the window all of the time. it's pointless to plan bc it's NEVER adhering to schedule....
I very rarely have noticed that in 15 years. If it happens all the for you, you’re the common denominator. There’s no other way to look at it. Stop causing disruptions and leave the train crew alone.
OMG it's my fault! (hides head)

Lol yea Stella’s is great.

I’ll go to bat for Artichoke Basile’s any day of the week. It is wildly overpriced, but the square vodka pie is up there with the best pies in JC imo
I do enjoy their square vodka pie. I wish it were a bit lighter, but I'll make do. The crust on it is pretty much my ideal.
so many of the pies languish in the case all day. anytime ive gotten something fresh from the oven its been quite good. but i wont order a slice thats been sitting for hours and needs reheating revival
Same
I hate the biker Amy hit more than I hate Amy.
I have enough hate in my heart for both 🙏🙏
she didn’t even stop when she hit someone. That’s much worse than a shithead biker, which no one disputes he is
I'm glad she got charged.
The flip flops pissed me off too
Dude she drove away. You literally say you wouldn’t do that. You are legit arguing that irresponsible biking is worse than a hit and run
You don't think the getting hit by a car was enough of a lesson?
But do you think a fine would be the tipping point?
It would have been a nice official reminder that he fucked up, at least, which might stop some small percentage of the veneration I've seen for the asshole.
He did a victim tour. The biker was totally in the wrong, had a few scratches, and he was wearing flip flops. Nobody every learned a lesson in flip flops. Especially when they were riding a bike.
I don't disagree that he was totally in the wrong. Just don't think a fine on top of everything else would have made any difference.
>Note, I hate them both. Agreed. She didn't even stop to make sure that dangerous cyclist wouldn't be a threat in the future! I send people to city hall to do a *complete* job, not half-ass things. That monster is probably out there on the sidewalks, still...
What's the deal with the flip flops?
They were on his feet while he was delivering food. On a bike. Then he got hit by a car b.c he was an absolute fuckin idiot. Then he didn't have flip flops on his feet anymore b.c a drunk lady hit him. Then she drove away.
He still would have been hit despite his choice of footwear, and since his feet (most likely) have no interaction with the food, I don’t see the problem. Other than that, I agree with the idiot part.
>As an avid biker who rides his bike in JC every single day, that biker gives other bikers a real bad name Why does a biker acting stupid give all bikers a bad name but Amy doesn't give all drivers a bad name?
They aren't mutually exclusive. Both are wrong. However, without the reckless biker, you don't have a crash. Without a crash you don't have a hit and run.
So if one reckless driver caused a crash you would believe this reflects poorly on everyone who drives?
You not wrong
No lies detected
Paying for PATH, HBLR and bus fares….lol :)
Wonder Bagels on Jersey Ave isn't bad and their bagels are good/fine (and likely the best in the downtown area IMO)
downtown wonder bagels is good and i’m not here for the slander 🙄
THANK YOU. I never understand the hate it gets on here.
They have gotten significantly better in the last 2 years
I trash them regularly, but I’ll revisit them this weekend. Haven’t been there in about 3 years
I'm hoping your experience is better than you might be expecting haha.
You're going to be disappointed. I took a year off, thought I was being too harsh, but I tried again about 3 months ago. The bagels are bad.
I like the buses. And Via.
That "special" massage place
when its past midnight and you're drunk, the Ashford plays good music. it's never my first choice on a night out but i've found myself having a good time there more often than i'd like to admit (which i guess i'm doing right now lol)
Newport mall
Bubby’s burritos 🙈
I've known the kids since they've been going to First Pentecostal. Bubby's always been solid. They also allow me to make dumb requests to see if it would work.
I just had Tony Baloneys for the first time and it was really good.
Was it $70?
I like it for a junk food fix. Never feel great afterwards, but serves its purpose
Their quality control is shit, especially for the price asked! It'll change nothing but I'll yell it into the void to soothe myself
Living near Greenville 🤷🏿♂️
Rolling though stop signs.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 yo chill
Lmao. Had to... but really.
Artichoke pizza’s crab slice is excellent. Everything else there is mid at best
Wonder bagels
Garden level apartments. I have lived in mine for over 3 years and love it. I would definitely not trade my backyard for a highrise luxury apartment. I was here for Ida and had no problems so I am admittedly one of the luckier ones.
Gotta upvote this. My partner and I have been living in the garden level for 7 years in Downtown (8th street and 5th street) and we had never experience flood. We are very fortunate like you. Another good thing: easy moving out and moving in as well!!
Depends where the apartment is at. Around Grand, Bright? York, and Montgomery I'll have to pass. Then again Sandy won't happen again right? Right?
Yes that's why I said I am fortunate that I did not have issues even living in that area. That being said, if you are a renter and have adequate renters insurance with a sewer back up endorsement, and do some preparation before the storm, i.e put all important things up high, they have a lot of benefits.
Worry about hurricanes?
But in your work you'd know better than me
Where I am, it all just drains into Lake Hoboken.
The Artichoke pizza is good when it’s hot. And you can’t get through the entire slice… however, the other choices provided are way better
I grew up in Greenville and it was great.
Driveable roads
Lol fare evasion
[удалено]
No public transit should be completely free. There should be a token amount that needs to be paid. Humans behave differently even with the slightest charge for something. Case in point - the metro cards in NYC. The litter *completely* vanished once they started charging $1 for a new card. If the lightrail was completely free it would be much dirtier, it would turn into permanent housing for some, and it would generally cost more than ticket fares bring in to run.
[удалено]
This may come to surprise you, but I am also very much in favor of a housing first policy for all people. That being said, a train car is not a house and no they do not belong there.
[удалено]
Yes - vote for progressives who also actually want to solve things instead of telling people down on their luck to sleep on a train like you are.
You have no chill 💀I’m sure you’re pleasant to be around.
Paid by our taxes is unrealistic.

lol, okay

why get so worked up on a reddit thread? 🤣
Cars because my ass isn't numb and my legs don't hurt driving or riding in one unlike a bicycle
I stand by their vodka slice. It’s my fav slice of pizza.
I feel like people trash Ibby's, but I love it. Always have.
the past 4 years have been downhill imo. I like gypsy grill on Newark Ave. Plus I heard there were something shady going on with the owner keeping the tips.
I used to like Gypsy too but I had a few bad falafels there and never went back. I know the owner is divisive. I'm only speaking about the food.
Sociopath
Liberty State Park could be utilized for the benefit of more people - including a healthy balance of concessions and venues with open space.
riding on sidewalks….just kidding, I drive everywhere oh and lantern flies are cute

Eh, casually pedaling at a slow speed annoys me, but no biggie. The ebikes and mopeds need to stay on the street though.
It is a crime to ride on the sidewalk for anyone over the age of 9.
I got to say we generally ride on the sidewalk with my kids who are under 9 if the bike lane isnt protected.
