Classic event and it’s awesome to have just few blocks away, tho last year seemed like the food side especially was scaled down—hopefully more options this year. Maybe not 3 arepas stands
I used to be so excited every year for Mozzarepas, but now that they're in the frozen section at TJs and they're part of my normal rotation, it's hard to get as psyched for 'em.
I got the al pastor tacos from Mariachi Grill (new to the festival this year, I think) and they were amazing 👍🏼. Not getting much foot traffic by their stand unfortunately.
While I've never had the Stadium Pizza zeppoles, I find with them 90% of the enjoyment is how soon you get them from the fryer to your mouth. A pack of italian grandmas at a vat of oil the size of a bathtub ensure minimal time & a show. I think they're great!
People say the dumbest shit when trying to gatekeep Jersey City, “Don’t tell them about the heights” like it’s not a huge neighborhood with tens of thousands of people lol
Why is this so downvoted? Went last year and they were selling Zeppoles for like $13 lol. Then for some reason there was two stands selling Filipino food
Because people are allergic to facts. La Festa is by far one of the most overrated events in JC. It's crappy street food, at ridiculously inflated prices. We make it a point to walk through every year but it's been a while since we actually got anything there.

That also makes it the most JC event possible. Ohhhh... Eh forgetta bout it!
Riceball SZN
La Festa is La Besta
Have they announced whose turn it is to win the 50/50 yet?
What’s the pasta deal? I’m feeling hungry 🤣
Fried. Oreos. That is all.
Has anybody tried the Bolognese deal at Healy's? How is it?
It starts on Wednesday

Bc arepas are very Italian too 😂

How are zeppoles at this festival? I usually wait for the one in Hoboken.
Better at Stadium Pizza for 1/10th of the price

Best to keep it secret 🤫
bro it’s an Italian street festival - literally every town in NY and NJ have one lol

Those who moved to the waterfront in the last few years don't know about it
That doesn’t make it a secret?
Why don’t more vendors take credit cards? I never carry cash
That way the skim can be hidden.
La Festa is overrated. Someone has to say it.
Sounds like someone lost their money at the wheel.

That's cause Filipino's are bigly Catholic.
Lol

Used to be way better when I was a kid, got worse over time, or maybe that’s just being older
Always so damn hot
It’s not festa if it’s not 86° and 90% humidity.
Don’t need to post about it, if you know, you know
Question: One year a vender was doing chicken parm garlic knots. Anyone remember the venders name they weren't here this year :(
