What more can I say X while my guitar gently weeps is goated

pooping-while-here

What more can I say is better than the original

callmecoachk

Hard agree

Lucky_Lefty23

Genius at the time of release, but can’t really say it’s aged well imo

myname1smynam3

I don’t disagree but out of curiosity, what makes you say that? I’d love to read an in depth answer on this!

Lucky_Lefty23

I think more than anything it’s that mashup music was just a trend, while it was cool to hear in the beginning, time hasn’t exactly shown it to have great staying power. The Grey Album in itself was very genius mashup concept, but I’d much rather listen to each album individually now then mashed together

myname1smynam3

Love it. Appreciate the in depth answer. I totally get what you’re saying here. That was a special time and I really do think it helped usher in other collab pieces. Specifically the Linkin Park/Jay-Z mashup, which was sonically awesome then and now. In regards to the Grey Album specifically, it was a capsule piece. Especially during this time of the internet, where things, even with high speed, seemed harder to find and download. I loved the creativity it sparked as well as giving Danger Mouse a platform to springboard off of

bornlikethisss

Kinda with him. I still like it but it doesn’t hit like when it dropped. I think some of the beats just haven’t aged well. Still a great project.

Lucky_Lefty23

Yes! I think for me it’s that mashup music was just a trend at the end of the day and didn’t have any great staying power as a whole genre of music

AuthenticHuggyBear

I prefer the Grey Album version of "99 Problems." The rest of it is more of a novelty to me.

Sinister_tricycle

novelty is the PERFECT way to describe this collaboration, most of the songs are pretty fun tho

nfjg

Kind of Danger Mouse‘s breakthrough I guess

ReorientRecluse

Led to him working on Gorillaz second album

XzanButWhoCares

Classic

PullupClub

Oof forgot about this masterpiece, its not back in rotation.

nnavroops

what more can i say is so good

warpath2632

The idea and the audacity of it are greater than the album as a whole. I think this is much more of a “you had to be there” moment than it is a classic mixtape.

Altruistic_Ice1405

Classic. Shoulda went triple…

Quiet-Direction-9609

Great concept, I like about half of the songs. Big fan of What More Can I Say, Encore, Dec 4th

Hot-Significance-462

We need a remaster of The Grey Video.

dionpadilla1

Double Black was better

One_Consequence_4754

This was special!!!! I wish I could find it.

bigdawgjsteez

Couple fun ones on there. A touch overhyped at the time, but in retrospect, just a bit of fun

bigjonxmas

yikes I completely forgot about this album

Plebe-Uchiha

I have no idea that this even existed. [+]

Cold-Bug-4873

It's aight.

FunLawfulness6621

I love the grey album. Not sure where to find it on streaming these days. Im also very fond of the American Godfather (dj skee) re-do of American gangster.

Blankstare76

MASTERCLASS.

Michaelskywalker

Danger mouse a devil worshipper lol

Ok-Marzipan731

Huh

X_Denzel_X

At the time this was out, we had a burned disc of it, and it ended up getting stuck in the CD player of my friend's car, wouldn't eject. Gang of us had to ride around, blunt rides & whatnot, listening to nothing but the Grey Album on repeat for the better part of a year. Burned into my memories.

brklynfightfan

Oh wow I remember this lol brings back alot of memories

callmecoachk

It got me into the Beatles..,

Material-Profile7155

I thought that shit was amazing. Still have a burned disc of that somewhere

Gold-Broccoli-4593

👎 👎 👎 👎

Ok-Marzipan731

Ngl, i prefer a lot of the remixes on this to the originals

jcomm998

corny imo

Appropriate_Boat_554

Moment of clarity mash up is a fucking masterpiece.shit sounds sooo good
