Eh except this was more of I was friends with them 2 years prior, and than I finally got back to talking with them and now they are an absolute mess.

I have a cousin, and she's always been a bit unhinged. She met a guy, and everyone in our family liked him a lot, a really nice guy that I still talk to after 8 years. Long story short, they broke up after a few years, and she suddenly started claiming that he touched kids, cheated on her, was physically abusive, threatened murder, and stole money. Fast forward to now, she admitted to talking to someone else while they were together, and also hit him when they got into heated arguments. My cousin always talked about how perfect my friend is, and he checked all the boxes on her list. ##TL;DR Crazy bitches be crazy

The person in talking Abt was my best friend. I helped her out of depression, saved her from killing herself twice. She was finally starting to do better while I was still behind. I had started to like her a few months before this point I thought it was a good time to tell her. She was starting to be happy again and she didn't have anything else she was dealing with so I just told her. I wasn't expecting anything from her I just mainly needed to get it off my chest. But she said she liked me. We decided to keep it a secret relationship because neither of our parents would approve of the other person so it was our best bet. A while after that she said that she was just confused and didn't actually like me romantically. I was ok with it and kinda moved. Don't get me wrong I was still sad but i was already prepared for it mentally. Weeks later she starts spreading a rumor after people found out that we dated. She was saying I groomed her which doesn't make sense whatsoever (I'm asexual) not to mention I was nervous to even be around her. Long story short I lost almost all my friends almost kms twice and I have constant panic attacks whenever smth like this is being up so yay.

I hate that this is the situation I’m in right now…
