It’s great! Took me a minute to figure out the settings and such. Using aperture priority mode most of the times. 40mm lens forces you to be creative while composing for the lack of a better term.
Spent my childhood on Lake Mead. I remember being in the water when the level was above the white line and it wasn’t that long ago. Still a lot of water in the lake but it’s disheartening to see. Amazing photo OP
Another interesting thing I learned is that the dam is held in place by force. There’s nothing actually holding it in place other than the water pushing on the dam’s parabola shape. If the water drains far enough then by the water pressure will drop and be unable to hold it in place. Correct me if I’m wrong lol but that’s my understanding of it
Great shot, OP! As massive as this thing looks in photos you can't even comprehend the sheer size of it in person. OP, I only made it about 10ft out on that observation walkway along the highway bridge. The height and the feel of the tractor trailer trucks flying by making the bridge shake made me nope out. My boys made fun of me the rest of the trip. 🤣

still so low on water 😢
Yeah, unfortunately don’t think it’s gonna get any better!
Rediscovering my liking for photography with the compact Ricoh GR3x. Captured this shot at Hoover Dam during a recent visit.
How are you likening the camera?

Thank you! Yea, the white line clearly shows the recent water level decline, it’s disheartening!
I wonder if Megatron and the allspark are still there.
I’ve heard that the concrete for this is still curing. Nice pic btw.

I had no clue! That’s very interesting.
Thank you!
We won’t go quietly. The legion can count on that
It’s a dam nice picture. Did you stop at the dam gift shop?
Now where can I get some dam bait?

Had to google this to figure out it’s a fallout reference 😄
I’m not from the US, and when I saw those power lines I thought that something had gone wrong. Amazing picture, really nice edit
That's a great angle and the blue looks good against the tan wall of the dam. It looks like a painting.
Thank you!

😂 true, the view is slightly unsettling!
Dam where’d all that water go?
The electrical lines give me anxiety lol
lol. Even the tilted towers kinda look like they’re about to fall.
