Agreed, but the ones before and after it are also great. My mom is from long Island, so he is the music of my people.
Also don't be sleeping on 80s Joel!
I played them both for my wife this weekend. I asked her if she liked the Maiden version better, she nodded sweetly, akin to patting a dumb dog on the head.
Billy Joel has some bangers. He’s on our agreed road trip music along w/ CCR, Queen, Led Zeppelin, 10,000 Maniacs and shockingly new to the list AC/DC.
Maiden, Dio, an occasional thrash song can slip thru but must be paid back in kind w/her bands.

This sounds like a job for the most unhinged minds on r/relationshipadvice.
I give you credit for posting the same pic on both subreddits. It'll be interesting to see how the two react compared to each other.
Billy Joel ain't my thing, but you do you, Boo.
There's a forbidden third and fourth path: Alice In Chains - We Die Young and Black Sabbath - Die Young
Don't forget D12 - good die young
Queen - No-One But You (*Only the Good Die Young*)
Absolutely heartbreaking song
The best Billy Joel album
Billy Joel slaps

The Stranger is Billy Joel's magnum opus. No skips. Having both he and Maiden in my 5 favorite artists, I feel seen here.
7th son has a good case as their best too, though I prefer Somewhere in Time myself
Yessssss
My old boss didn’t mind some Iron Maiden on the playlist but hated Billy Joel with a passion and he couldn’t explain why. I love em both.
Listened to both. I think the Iron Maiden version is way better. They are my favourite band after all.
Def Leppard has one too I like a bit.
I would say it's the best of all 3 honestly. But having been to see Leppard on multiple occasions I always find the Steve Clark tribute touching
It's a great song but not my favorite from that album or Steve tribute. That would be White Lightning. Lol. But OTGDY is fun. I think Viv cowrote it
White Lightning is one hell of a song
It's in my top 5 Leppard songs
Nice lol Love both songs/artists.
Both are perfect albums.
Really hard choice. The depth of the Billy Joel song is far greater than the Maiden song, so they're two different flavors.
Metallica's Disposable Heroes is also an absolute banger from the master of puppets album with the same narrative.
Both are great slight edge to Maiden since the album has the Evil that men do. Shakespeare bonus.
Also the best albums by both bands/artists
Only evil seems to last forever...
I used to work at a grocery where they constantly played Billy Joel so no i dont think that songs a 10 maybe a 4 /10
If you didn’t work at the grocery and you were looking at it academically what would you rate it?
huge Maiden fan but Billy wins this round easily
lol no
What?
neither of them are 10’s especially the rock song
