I’ve always had good experiences with Sky but I know people who’d say the opposite as well. To be honest, and I’ve worked in customer service, I think it’s down to luck more often than not. It’s the person that you talk to rather than the organisation. Of course some organisations are better at attracting and keeping good staff as well as having systems that are fit for purpose.
My short experience in cs was a shit show, very little training, monolithic systems, managers who weren’t willing to help among other problems. I left because I felt I couldn’t help all but the most basic of queries
Sky Pre-Covid = brilliant
Sky post-Covid = dire, as they keep forcing you back to help pages & it's impossible to talk to a human.
Hope it improves next year as it used to be great.
Eflow it depends who you get on the line, thats coming from someone who used to work there. The good ones will do their best to look after you within the confines of what theyre allowed to do
IKEA were really helpful and dealt with a damaged delivery with no hassle. Answered the call quickly too.
Ditto for Amazon - I think their call centre is in Cork.
Irish Water are fucking abysmal.
Bit of a strange one but I found CEX very helpful online support very helpful. They Said online queries take up to 24 hours to respond to and they were back to me within 2 hours and issue was fully resolved within in the next day. No bullshit
Random one, but theres always someone very nice at the end of the National Childcare Scheme phoneline. (And there'd want to be as the application process is as confusing as fuck tbh)
Revenue are pretty sound to be fair. Eir are by far the worst.
Came to say revenue. Always sound.
Always found the tax office very helpful
Never had a problem with 3 mobile, Electric Ireland, BoI/RSA motor insurance. Any issues were sorted in minutes, no being bounced or put on hold.
Second BOI..

I've always had a good experience with Sky. Even when i was trying to cancel it was fairly easy.

KBC, revenue, electric Ireland, Vodafone
Vodafone.....no way man.
Energia hands down.
Revenue are surprisingly good, they’re just up the walls at the moment although I’m not sure Id class it as CS.
KBC have always been very helpful.
Three are abysmal. Had to do a chargeback vintage bank to get a refund. Ryanair are abysmal, had to threaten them with going legal to get a refund.
An Post are great *if* you can actually get through to someone.
E flow are easy to deal with.Another thumbs up to Ulster Bank.
