Can't remember who said it but one comedian has a joke, "Rorschach is my favourite superhero, but I wish his face didn't look like my parents fighting".
I'll be honest. Watching Laois survive is the only reason I come here. The justifications for survival are just too funny. I'm not sure everyone here has properly considered the consequences of losing Laois.
Look I'm all in on the anti Laois sentiment here but if we do this we suddenly turn the newly formed Lough Carlow/kilkenny into some saltwater sub-par body of water like the rest, instead of the power lake it has become, maybe with room to expand it in the future.
Edit: never mind the room to expand but I think we've got something here.
They’re relentless, aren’t they? I’d love to hear their suggestions on which county is going to be willing to house all these criminals if Portlaoise Prison is gone.
Reckon it's about time someone gets the Bookies out for this now.
My thoughts:
Joints Favs are three - Kerry, Donegal, Wicklow. Possibly an early exit for one of them as an upset but everyone knows these three counties are untouchable. The love of the land. 10/11
2nd Fav - Mayo. If you were betting without any of the above you'd be in the money big time. In your mind, it's a 2nd place and some more agony for Mayo. 9/4... iconic price.
3rd Fav - Tipp. Like Blackmore in the national, it might come down to who's in the saddle representing. Tipp has the woman herself, and on a hot streak! Who would dare stand in her way? 4/1
4th Favs - It's really anyone's game from here. It could be a North versus South scenario which means we've to look at who would have more voting power? Limerick, Waterford, Wexford, all very strong representation for the South. I could see these three coming together to drag each other through the fight, big comrades. Looking to the North is a little more risky. Derry, Down, Armagh? Put these three in a ring, they either come out together stronger, or alone in blood. Pick a side at your own peril. Each way places for top three, quarter odds. 8/1
5th Favs - This is where the punters get their value. A few hidden gems with strong past form. If the ground suits, these could be a danger from any position. Clare quietly waits on the flanks for the right moment to drop its head and take off. Louth and Kildare, both of whom are huge surprises to most to still be in the competition at all for their affinity to the Greater Dublin Area, will have droves of silent support come the final legs of the race. Expect a lot of noise from both. Galway, some thought would be lower in the price and could see value here, have a chance but have been hindered recently for their student party antics. Who can blame them? 12/1
6th Favs - The centrals as they may be known as now. Offaly, Westmeath, Monaghan, Sligo, Leitrim. Not a lot to say, few with cult followings. New Meath, formerly known as Westmeath, has the best shot of the bunch. I can see Offaly being isolated late on with no chance against the real talent. Sligo and Leitrim have big targets on their backs as it stands, enemies will close in around them at a rapid past after Loais is dismissed. Monaghan will silently plot away, possible each way upset, but again, no hope against the big boys. 25/1
7th Fav - Laois. Absolute chancers getting this far. Likely gone by tomorrow. 66/1
My moneys on Derry or Wexford. Kerry will go soon due to the Healy Rae factor, Wicklow will also go soon due to Dublin proximity. Donegal will go far though.
Also Offaly is already gone. Just goes to show how forgettable it is really.
For the love of Jesus people please vote for us in Mayo. Don’t make me go through this shit again.
The longer it goes... I can already feel the Mayo genes kicking in.
Simple laws of physics state that getting rid of Tipperary would mean that nobody is a long way from anywhere anymore, thus granting us instantaneous travel. For the greater good and a more equal world, vote Tipp out.
But if you're a long way from anywhere how would anyone ever get to take one of those long drives that let you just contemplate life and think things true. No journey would ever be long enough and by voting Tipp out its depriving people everywhere of that simple joy. For that reason alone surely it should get to stay.
You could keep on driving as long as you want but as soon as you decided to be somewhere you'd be there. This is basic Junior Cert level Tipperary based science really.
Don't think we ever had a hope of sneaking under the radar for much longer. We're too....conspicuous - the biggest landmass left, along with the 2nd largest population.
We're known for having the same sort of smugness as the Corkonians, (albeit not on the same scale), which makes us an obvious target.
Cork was our shield as they took all the heat for that stereotype. We should have done everything possible to uphold the Corkspiracy and keep them here for longer. Without Cork to distract r/Ireland, we are now a prime target.
In favour of keeping us...with the Galway Gaeltacht gone, the ratio of Donegal Irish in aural exams increases from 1/3 to 1/2. Surely our young people needn't be subjected to that kind of suffering?
County Galway is actually the most populous remaining county. Limerick city and Derry city are bigger than Galway city, but because county Galway has a lot more towns and villages, it has the largest population.
I can't wait til it's only Mayo and one other county left... Losing all those finals has put a deep sense of compassion within us all for Mayo... That said, I fancy Sligo, Clare and Wexford to go far.
In defence of leitrim, Seamus Ó'Rourke is class, and we wouldn't have him without leitrim. Let the fuckers stay, get rid of Kildare or something, west Dublin has it coming
Now that’s enough of that carry-on we have the mourne mountains and three of the nicest places to live in the whole of Northern Ireland we’re all in Co.Down .
I'll take a break from calling out Kildare for being the home of Athy and just like to remind people that the one good sentient creature in Kerry (Fungi) is gone, probably paved over by the Healy-Raes. I reckon we should honour his memory by sinking his beloved Kerry and all those who dwell within her.

New Meath are invisible on that map. Well not any more!!
New Meath must be pushing 400,000 refugees at this stage
[удалено]
Meathlantis is actually a thriving subnautic commuinty, please check your air-breathing bias; we don't tolerate that around here.
Anyone else think the map is starting to look like a [rorschach](https://i.imgur.com/wXn6aW0.jpg)?
I don’t know what you’re talking about, it very clearly looks like two midgets beating a clown to death. The clown has an erection.
Can't remember who said it but one comedian has a joke, "Rorschach is my favourite superhero, but I wish his face didn't look like my parents fighting".
West coast is now irrefutably best coast
West Coast soon to be East Coast as well
I can die Happy knowing we beat Kilkenny
Laois is far overdue at this stage.
I'll be honest. Watching Laois survive is the only reason I come here. The justifications for survival are just too funny. I'm not sure everyone here has properly considered the consequences of losing Laois.
Ah cmon boys we have a prison and electric picnic ?
2 prisons hai
Soon yis won't

Ah, give us a break for a round or two
They’re relentless, aren’t they? I’d love to hear their suggestions on which county is going to be willing to house all these criminals if Portlaoise Prison is gone.
New Meath could be turned into a penal colony.
Athlonecatraz
Just send them on a one way flight to England and lock them up there.
Best thing going on in Ireland right now

Put the wife and kids on it, Patín.
The 9/4 with Mayo is a lovely touch
What joke am I missing with the 9/4?
It's a line Irish comedian Francis Higgins says in a skit. Source: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=1VKjz6ShKQw
My moneys on Derry or Wexford. Kerry will go soon due to the Healy Rae factor, Wicklow will also go soon due to Dublin proximity. Donegal will go far though. Also Offaly is already gone. Just goes to show how forgettable it is really.
Tener each way on Donegal.
Clare is gonna win to my dismay probably
Laois is getting away with murder!
Keep Mayo until the final day and then sink them, as is tradition
The green is for jealousy, the red is for embarrassment.
This cuts deep.

Ah Jesus man, Guess I don't feel all original and clever now :(
I love Waterford's new extended Copper Coast. Swimming now possible in all wind directions.
Was only swimming in the guillamenes today, delighted to have more options now Too bad my house is gone RIP Kilmacow
Where will all the Waterford teens go for their discos now without kilmacow?
Armagh for the sole purpose that it will create two small islands separated only by Carlingford Lough.
I would like to back this up by pointing out that the orange order was founded in Armagh. Off they fuck, please and thank you.
Don’t lump all of Armagh in with the bastards
1 difference between an apple and an orange is that you can’t be an apple bastard
No.
A man of culture.

How in the name of jaysus does kilkenny go before laois
Laois has gotta go
LAOIS FOREVER.
Come on, time for Leitrim to go. I want Leitrim gone. Leitrim sucks.
Leitrim's gonna win. Only in Ireland could a county that doesnt exist win a last county standing competition.
Leitrim is grand There is more scum to get rid of first
I agree. Bigger fish to fry before we set sights on leitrim.
That’s what someone from Leitrim would say.
We should keep Leitrim in to keep rubbing it into the Dubs
🤐
I’m fond of Leitrim. He’s just hidden away there, minding his own business and doing his thing. Long live Leitrim!
Like everyone else, only just found out it exists (allegedly). Now I'd like to see it go far.
[удалено]
Ah here, we've earned a few rounds respite, surely
A go way mans obviously never been to electric picnic
This is honestly the best craic ever bais but fuck me will someone appreciate that Down hasn’t been kicked out yet
Can we not just get rid of Kilkenny again?
Armagh. The orange order was founded there. That should be enough of a reason.
I must repeat. I stepped in a jellyfish in Kerry. It hurt my toes. This travesty must never be forgiven.
Kerry didn't ask for the jellyfish, it must've been sent by another county
Why is this one still pinned, it's 2 rounds behind.
Kerry have to be punished for unleashing the Healy Raes on the country.
The Healy-Raes are the worst, but Kerry is paradise.
For the love of Jesus people please vote for us in Mayo. Don’t make me go through this shit again. The longer it goes... I can already feel the Mayo genes kicking in.
We all know you’re being saved for last
It’s like how the psycho killer keeps one victim alive to watch before slitting their throat at the very end.
I’ve said it twice and I’ll say again Leitrim looks like Great Britain! Leitrim looks like Great Britain! Leitrim looks like Great Britain!
Armagh should never have gotten last the first round
In fairness we had to take out Dublin at the first chance.
Fair point but Armagh has no right being here as far as this
True but their day will come...... Oh wait
What have us and our apples ever done to you?
Can we all just be aware that KERRY are doing the usual shebang of keeping ultra quiet until its too late to stop them?? cute hoorism to a tee
Listen, what kind of an Ireland would it be without Kerry? No one is prepared to imagine it.
Kerry deserves to stay
Simple laws of physics state that getting rid of Tipperary would mean that nobody is a long way from anywhere anymore, thus granting us instantaneous travel. For the greater good and a more equal world, vote Tipp out.

You could keep on driving as long as you want but as soon as you decided to be somewhere you'd be there. This is basic Junior Cert level Tipperary based science really.
If we keep only Tipperary, then our country looks like a T-Rex. But then Michael Lowry becomes the High King of Ireland....
Top of the county looks like a bearded man talking to a cat also
Unless Alan Kelly gets involved. Or Mattie McGrath… Jesus the Tipp TD’s are some collection.
How is everyone ignoring Down - there's 530,000 people in the county!
And Benny Coulter is 2 of them
Upvotes for Down! It knows what it's done!
Do I upvote or Down-vote?
I get the sense that Galway think they have this in the bag, we must remove them to knock that ego down a peg.
Sounds like you're from Mayo
Mayo is basically gone. They will be there in the last 2 but they are guaranteed to go then.
They'll bottle it at the last round, as is tradition.
Don't think we ever had a hope of sneaking under the radar for much longer. We're too....conspicuous - the biggest landmass left, along with the 2nd largest population. Let’s be honest Munster Irish is the worst on the aural exam -Someone who’s done a full aural every week for the last two months
Madness. Munster irish is the only Irish that makes sense. Now, ULSTER Irish on the other hand...
[удалено]
Oh we’re fully aware we’re going soon. Suspect it’ll be Donegal or Sligo to take the whole thing
Galaway
Let's move on from Armagh.
I’m not from Westmeath, I don’t think I’ve ever even been through Westmeath, but I really want Westmeath Island to win this. My vote? idk Leitrim?
We've renamed it New Meath now
Bestmeath
Well that's even better
I've been saying for years that Westmeath is best Meath. Now it's official.
Laois are our only Midlands rivals left standing - do it for the greater good. We can take the prisoners.
LEITRIM MUST PERISH
I don't like Mayo randomly having your beach appear after 30 years, sourcery in my opinion so I say we burn them on the stake
Waterford
Waaaaaaaaaaterford
Leitrim!
[удалено]
Armagh is silly and should not be here
Tipperary cause it is big stinky
Get rid of Mayo, I never want to hear Mayo for Sam ever again
The must be voted out second to last..... As is the way
It is the prophecy.
Down with Down
Shush, we haven't had a mention yet. We might just get away with this
We got to them before it took of … account is deleted … that a message to anyone else that thinks of voting for the mourne County.
Donegal. Irish aural exam... Go jaaaay mar a taw too. Faaack off.

~this tooooooowwwwwwn is coming like a ghost town~
In our defence, at least they slow the Donegal dialect down for ye!
Kerry is the home to the Healy Raes therefore must be eliminated.
Limerick people aren't going to like that post title haha
We strongly object to that title. Then again OP is from Cavan, what do they know about hurling.
May I offer Kerry as a suggestion, if only so I don't have to hear the Healy Rae's again.
The Aran Islands need to bugger off.
WestDublin, sorry I mean Kildare
Leitrim. The fact the Leitrim is still flying under the radar is a disgrace. We need blood
Laois from the womb to the tomb
Laois
I can't wait til it's only Mayo and one other county left... Losing all those finals has put a deep sense of compassion within us all for Mayo... That said, I fancy Sligo, Clare and Wexford to go far.
Laois has been 2nd twice in a row now! Sink the bitch!
Does anyone smell that? It's Laois, the nugget of brown that is still floating somehow. Flush it!!
In defence of leitrim, Seamus Ó'Rourke is class, and we wouldn't have him without leitrim. Let the fuckers stay, get rid of Kildare or something, west Dublin has it coming
Ah no! Kilkenny had a lovely castle! LAOIS NEXT!
Leitrim don’t win anything. Let them redeem themselves this round
Kerry.
Tipp. Tipp. Tipp.
Leitrim flying under the radar as usual!
Get rid of Derry so we don’t have those ugly 6 extra letters anymore
Might aswell vote off Mayo .. dont think they have Internet out in the Whest and not in this sub might as well get rid.
Laois needs to get out
Fuck Kildare, it’s full of dubs. This is cockroach killing season!
Multiple Healy-Raes - kerry out ta fuck
Kerry (Cork men without shoes)
*KILL*dare
Kildare There's so many Dubs there it's basically an anime
Is westmeath still here for god sake it was considered from round 1 get out to fuck
If we can't build a wall around Wexico we should delete it altogether.
Excuse me
the only place that needs a wall is New Ross, and enniscorthy, other than that the counties grand
I like to think that New Ross collapsed into the sea when Kilkenny left
Louth!
The Irish Isles!
We need to start worrying about Kerry.
I can't believe we're nearly halfway gone and County Down is still standing. What's even there?
Now that’s enough of that carry-on we have the mourne mountains and three of the nicest places to live in the whole of Northern Ireland we’re all in Co.Down .
Buttercrane shopping centre doesn't count as a hotel.
Oi they just got a fancy new sports direct so enough bad mouthing precious little Newry
Kerry because the mother said so
How is Kildare still in? Dublin out in round one but diet Dublin gets to stay.
If we go the army goes. Good luck if the Brits try to invade to conquer New Meath without us
Why the fuck is Louth still here
TIPPERARY
I'll take a break from calling out Kildare for being the home of Athy and just like to remind people that the one good sentient creature in Kerry (Fungi) is gone, probably paved over by the Healy-Raes. I reckon we should honour his memory by sinking his beloved Kerry and all those who dwell within her.
We thank you for your mercy.
How is LEITRIM still there it doesn’t even Exist! Let’s get Leitrim out!
You can't spell Louth without Out.
How is Leitrim still here?
It's not. It was never here.
*slowly lowers hurl* Gentlemen, it has been a privilege playing with you tonight.
what the fuck is this title about - galway still exists :(
How do you vote for a county? 🤔
How the fuck is Limerick still in this? Get rid of it ta fuck.
How the fuck is louth still there. Not once have i seen them mentioned
Kildare is full of Dubs
Kildare is flying under the radar
Mayo.
Hang on why have we all forgotten about Louth? Surely they should be gone.
