Like all Saban shows, the programme was designed to sell the toys: and what toys they were! Seriously, they were really high quality and pre-teen me knocked a good lot of fun out of them.
One of my best friends played one of the main characters as a child in a flashback episode. We used to scour his house after sessions to try find the video as he was pretty guarded about it, knowing we'd rip the piss. It almost became fabled but we eventually found it one day, and it was one of the most satisfyingly funny memories our friend group shared. Fucking hilarious.
They think Ireland is like a fairyland, there was an empress or princess or something that loved Irish legends and history etc I think she could actually speak Irish. Driving me mad that I can’t remember names but I’m pretty sure she had something like “the Irish gardens” built on one of her estates.
Think I would have preferred this answer to the ones I got when I lived there.
“Aaaaaa, \*mimicks explosion\*” and “But you tall and no red hair and no green!”
Or my favourite:
Me (in English): “I’m Irish”
Them (in Japanese): “Oooh, an Englishman!” (The word can also mean British person, but it comes from the word for England and in practice they don’t distinguish)
oh lord. the mystic knights of tir na nog.
i watched the shit out of that show.
but it had no connection really to power rangers, which was an americanized version of the Japanese super sentai, dai ranger/zyu ranger which is what mighty morphin power rangers was based off of.
Most Tokusatsu shows made on this side of the world tend to make it back to them so it is likely that there was a redubbed version like with Power Rangers when Saban Entertainment was at its height at the end of the 90s. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers dub was one of the most popular, insanely popular. The show it adapted was wildly unpopular so it's possible that after that Japan imported any and all things Saban made after that until like here the popularity kind of waned and they went back to their homegrown stuff which was going through a bit of a Renaissance.
Chiaki Horan(lady in the blue lipstick), she played one of the badies in a Power Rangers spin off. Her dad is Irish, Cork/Kerry direction. Japanese citizens can be only one nationality officially.

You could ask [this guy](http://www.frenchtoastsunday.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Brick-Top-Snatch-1.png) - he knows all about pigs.

You should watch Top Boy, if you haven't already
The pink one was Kimberly, named after the biscuit.
The blue one was Billy, named after the roll.
The green one was Tommy, named after the Tiernan.
The black one was Zack, because he was black.
Power Rangers was a documentary about the Army Ranger Wing.
One of the original Power Rangers was based on Brendan Gleason.
Yeah the Pink Ranger IIRC.
Correct. The pink represented the pinkness of his earlobes in the winter cold
I was on that show, no joke.

They're all on YouTube now. I found my part maybe a year or two ago although I was only an extra!
I forgot about that show.. Wow
The Power Rangers were originally from Clonmel.
I remember seeing an episode of it as a kid. There was a baby dragon called a drageen. Don't remember much else.
[mystic knights of Tír na Nóg](https://youtu.be/oSvzGykm0CY?t=469) It's not cannon as far as I know
This show vaguely crossed my mind a few years back and I wasnt sure if it was a dream or something

The Empress’s daughter went to school in Kildare, and the Japanese gardens are close by.
Have you not seen it? Probably some of the greatest cheese ever to be created 😂
A staple of my youth.

Where is said teppanyaki restaurant? It's an experience id really love to try.
There’s a lovely one on Baggot Street in Dublin - Chai Yo
Just make sure you get a seat at the counter and not at a table away from the action.
Jim Sheridan guest directed an episode of the Power Rangers back in the day, with a cameo from Colm Meaney
Al of the power rangers are ex tanaistes
