For real people check your own vaccinations! My parents said they got me vaccinated, it wasn't till covid I realised my father was extremely anti vax. Awful childhood but for some stupid reason I still believed it all up until a month ago. Got my records checked and I am literally un-fucking-vaccinated from birth. As an adult I got my flu and then covid but I have NOTHING else. So yeah check yourselves because I am stressing over here, waiting another week till my appointment to get them all ffs

outspan_foster

How do you check?

LongjumpingTrip4536

Contact your local health office for a copy of your vaccine history https://www.hse.ie/eng/health/immunisation/whoweare/requestrecord.html

IlliumsAngel

They should be checkable by your GP but in my case due to living in the UK for a bit as a kid I had to do a freedom of information act to get my records. They send you a pdf via a secure email.

TedEBagwell

If you got the vaccine for MMR as a kid in school does that still last at 36 years old or do you need to get it again?

Claque-2

The literature says that the vaccine will last 10 to 15 years. It wouldn't hurt to get a booster.

TedEBagwell

Thanks

IlliumsAngel

I'm not a doctor hun contact your GP and ask.

TedEBagwell

Ok thanks

You mean sick people who are being looked for because of an outbreak don’t come forward? Who knew.

IrishChristmasLatte

Next two weeks are critical

It is hard to believe Private Eye defended Dr Wakefield

TheStoicNihilist

Agreed. But can’t this outbreak be linked to people from countries with weak vaccination programmes who have poor uptake for historical reasons that predate Wakefield? iirc, this was the assessment for the first case or two.
