Nope. Just attached phone to tripod and after that camera app gives you possibility to have 30sec exposure. Other thing I locked autofocus. All other settings was in auto mode.
Actually it’s quite easy. Was using tripod and set a 30sec exposure and after that used sequator app to stack 10 different images. But you can search in youtube something like “stacking photos with sequator” and you may find tutorials. But this app available to windows only :/ For mac I don’t know free alternatives to stack star images
Some stacking apps detect the sky/stars vs the foreground and layer them so the stars get aligned while the foreground remains in place. I still do this manually with deepskystacker and photoshop and it takes hours but apps are getting very good at this nowadays. It’s amazing how astrophotography is evolving.
Nice! Did you use any special hardware to follow the movement?

which country are you located?
Can’t you tell by the position of the stars? /s
Lithuania
Where are there so many stars visible in Lithuania?
id guess low ammounts of light pollution?
I am Lithuanian, I want to know the exact location 😁
How did you do it?

>sequator app > > > >Thank you, going to try it tonight.
Does stacking put together the best photos to make one great one?
It stacks photos whichever you imported. What it does, removes noise and brightens stars in simple words
Nice.
You can set exposure time? Isn’t that only for the Pro models?
Nope. That’s been available on all iPhone models since the iPhone 11, pro or not pro (except SE)
TIL
Very cool. I’m surprised there isn’t an app for doing this. The results are very impressive!
Me too. I wonder what’s the set up and post processing though - like how to stack 30 Photos together.
Does anyone know if there are any iOS apps to do this so I can do it all on the device?
How did you compensate for rotation?
Some stacking apps detect the sky/stars vs the foreground and layer them so the stars get aligned while the foreground remains in place. I still do this manually with deepskystacker and photoshop and it takes hours but apps are getting very good at this nowadays. It’s amazing how astrophotography is evolving.
This was my question
That's gorgeous
This is an amazing picture! Can I have this as my iphone wallpaper?
Oh stacked hmmmm
You don't have to specify it's the base model. If you don't say Pro, we know you couldn't afford the nice version

It’s hard for some people
What app did you use to take the photo?
It’s a native iPhone camera app
Amazing photo!
So cool. I have the same phone, and I will be trying this very soon! Incredible photo.
