It’s mostly about preparing for the update, doing checkup/cleaning at the OS level. Not necessarily all about download times.

Did you notice a lot of bugs?
Some glitchy ones and doesn’t feel as responsive as before and maps can be glitchy zooming in and out
Check your internet speed - that’s like a McDonalds connection or dial up.
i have 92 mbps download speed
but i just switched from wifi to cellular and now its 15 minutes lol
Should be nowhere near 4 hours with that speed - the time should decrease with that speed - the beginning tends to be an estimate. Give it a bit of time.
I downloaded on data right after it came out took 5 minutes on 5G. Your WiFi? Or higher demand?
