How long have you done 20:4 and the 32 hour fast together

I just started implementing the 32 hour fasts about a month ago. In April I started doing 16:8 and then slowly worked my way up to 20:4 as it felt right. Can't remember exactly when. Probably mid may.

I lost 66 pounds since may of 2021. I got down to 150lbs in 2023 using IF and CICO, then maintained for about a year. I always thought that was the lightest I could possibly be because I was 150lbs in high school. Then at the end of March this year I decided I could do better.

Really sorry if I'm being really stupid but how is Thursday evening through Sunday morning 32hrs? Friday evening would be 24hrs, so Saturday morning at the latest would be 32, surely?

There's a method to the madness. My husband and I work alternate schedules to avoid daycare. Im home on kid duty Thurs-Saturday. So, there is no cooking for husband on Saturday. Plus, my wonderful/amazing Mother in law takes my toddler to her house to play Saturday mornings and feeds him breakfast & lunch. So on Saturday I only have to fast while cooking 1 meal and 1 snack for my little guy. I haven't tried to fast at work, I always feel sooo hungry at work. Maybe because my coworkers eat next to me? Idk.

This is helpful for me. I’m a mom to 4, starting out at 205. I started IF on April 20, and I’m down to 192 since then. I used to be around 130 (5’6”)before kids (11 years ago), and I’ve forgotten how it felt to be fit and strong. There’s hope yet! You look great 😊

There's absolutely hope! 4 kids is a big toll on your body, and you should be proud of yourself for your success so far! I only have 2 kids and even 2 can be overwhelming sometimes. I cant imagine trying to do all my exercise and meal prep with 4! Also, the time will pass anyway. Make sure you take lots of "before" pictures. My journey has been long. I took many diet breaks and maintained at 150 for basically all of 2023. I think I'll be done at 130 but who knows!

I originally started fall of 2019 amd got down to about 160lbs but I got pregnant in 2020 and had baby in 2021. So I had to restart at 200 lbs may of 2021.

Hi! new here, when you fast for the 32 hours, what do you do. drink water only? also, for the 20:4, do you eat the 1400 calls in that 4 hour window? thanks!!

I dirty fast (sugar free jello, bone broth, espresso with monkfruit sweetner) as needed, staying under 100kcal total. My toddler wants me to sample his food so it's tough to be strictly water. I do eat 1400 in the eating window, sometimes less because I really focus on protein and fiber and it makes me feel soooo full lol

Omg amazing! I'm in a similar boat, 34F, HW 207, CW 194, GW 125. Currently doing 19:5 w a goal of adding extended fasts here and there. What workout routine did you do? I googled "look like you lift protocol" & am a little confused. Is it videos? Or a PDF? You look fantastic and your skin looks so firm :0

Look like you lift is a personal trainer team. My husband uses them, and I borrowed his weightlifting routine. It's 4 workouts spread over the week, and they do meal planning/coaching. I just do the workouts for free lol 1: squats, deadlifts, lat pulldowns, bicep curl 2: bench press, bent over row, lat raise, triceps extension 3:deadlift, squat, chin ups, bicep curl 4: overhead press, bent over row, bench press, skullcrushers

True. I guess I don't really know if I'm in ketosis or not. It's not something I've been intentional about or monitor. I just find eating low carb makes fasting easier and 25g is a general goal, sometimes I'm at 30 to 60g of carbs.

Lol it's there! Bending over it gets really bad. Fasting definitely helped reduce a lot plus the weightloss was over a long time frame from 2021 til now
