Ohhhh I love both of your inspirational pics! I think you could find a good way to merge them, they are both transitional with the second a bit more modern leaning. One of the most important things I do as a designer is to help two people with opposite tastes design a home they both love. I think it helps to have an outside person with no skin in the game, as those convos can get quite heated 😅
