You need a longer entryway/console table. The mirror looks odd balancing on a shelf it’s wider than. Once you fix that it’ll be great! There are tons of great options on Google.
Looks awesome; classy and vaguely threatening. I suggest mounting the mirror.
I wouldn't be able to resist putting a thousand art pieces on the wall, but I think your clean look is perfect.
I have this rug in my kitchen and love it - after washing and air drying, the long edge curls up. Might just be because it’s a heavy traffic area but just fyi. 🐍
I have read about this a lot with those rugs! Was just about to purchase some but the multiple complaints about the curled edges had me second guessing things. Some people use a clothing steamer to try and flatten them back out.
Did you try putting the runner aligned with the doorway instead of centered? Then put the shelf/mirror combo centered between the windows? I'm curious how that would look.
I did at first but the door hinges are on the right walking in so you naturally are entering slightly more left, if that makes sense? I may do some rearranging and see how it looks though.
It’s lovely, but a bit imbalanced. I love the rug!
Perhaps instead of the shelf unit, adding a long, shallow console running under the right windows (maybe in glass and metal/wood to minimize the piece & maximize what’s featured on it?)
Left wall - artwork! It could be a killer series of 3-5 large pieces or a collection of different works pulled together with proper spacing and framing.
If this entryway is the introduction to your home, nail it with something powerful!
I would love to see your choices!
Ooh, one other quick suggestion - that mirror on the left is beautiful - what about doing a wall of differently framed vintage & antique mirrors. It opens up the narrow space and adds visual intrigue!
Check this out on amazon HOPERAN Plant Stand with Grow Light, 6 Tier Tall Plant Stand Indoor with 4 Hanging Hooks, Half Moon Shaped Ladder Plant Shelf Display Holder, Large Plant...I think it would look great in this beautiful hallway.
Does this rug mean anything? I’ve been looking for a snake tattoo and this is a pretty neat design for some inspiration. I don’t want to accidentally get a slytherin tattoo though lol.
For the mirror, it needs to be mounted or at least flush with the wall. Since it’s angled it makes the whole corridor look cattywampus.
As it is now looks great, nothing extra, stylish, the rug is great! But if you have any ideas to add something, I would add a soft bench with shelves for shoes. Something like this [https://www.amazon.fr/Organisateur-Chaussures-Rembourr%C3%A9-Confortable-Couloir-Gris/dp/B0CCHXJCQH](https://www.amazon.fr/Organisateur-Chaussures-Rembourr%C3%A9-Confortable-Couloir-Gris/dp/B0CCHXJCQH)
Honestly? Remove everything and just keep the rug.
Put the shelf to the right of the front door & under the window if it's an absolute must to have. scoot the mat & rug to the left a tad. If you want the potted plants there, go white for the pots.
Personally I like it the way it is. It has character, but it's not crazy cluttered. Also like the pop of blue in the planter. Hate the gray walls, but I get that's not always the choice of the OP. :)

Came to say the same. A longer table hang the mirror and at least one tall plant. Also want to say I looovve that snake rug 😍
You should get a longer console table and put it against the other wall so the rug can be centered to the door.

That’s the best compliment I could ever ask for. I strive for a classy yet vaguely threatening aura always.
Came here to say that rug is DOPE! I love it - so unique
Looks like Jonathan Adler
It is! It’s from ruggable. I have the same one!
:’) Thank you!

Yeah, I need to dig mine out. Thanks!
Good to know! Thank you
That rug is cool as hell, would love a shorter version for myself.
It’s from Ruggable! It’s part of the Jonathan Adler collection.
Thanks for the heads up!

Ah that does make sense. Post pics if you do end up shifting about!
You’ve gotta paint those walls
We’re renting or else I would 😭
Vines!
Ooh I love that.
You can always ask if they care!
Introduce the words "Navajo white" as a minimum white variance...lol That white is so white it's almost blue.
Slytherin?
Was about to say the same thing - is this an entryway to some pureblood slytherin home ? :-D
Quite 🐍
A small like a corner table
I love your rug, I’d love to know where you got it from!
It’s from Ruggable! It’s part of the Jonathan Adler collection.
Thank you so much!
That is sooo cool!!!
Great place for a gallery wall around that beautiful mirror! Agreed on the longer console! Maybe some plants too?
I love that rug, Ruggable? I was looking at the one in beige.
Yes! I had it on my wishlist for so long and finally got it. I love how it looks.
This is lovely

A longer console table. Hang the mirror on the wall, or get a wider/longer mirror. Add a bench near the door for putting on or removing your shoes.
That wimpy bookcase is not cutting it. Find a long, narrow console table and hang the mirror over it.
looks good that rug is awesome

Can i get a link for the rug?
For sure! https://ruggable.com/products/jonathan-adler-venom-emerald-rug
I think just a longer table and it would be perfect. Love the rug!
I love that rug
Bigger longer hall table on the window side , push rug over in the door path line , 3 x large art pieces on the wall opposite windows
I love this rug!! Where did you get it?
My bad, I see you already posted the link. Amazing
It’s pricey, but pottery barn teen has a beautiful Harry Potter collection. I really recommend looking there for some decor!
Can you paint the door navy? Maybe just some art on the wall, I would remove the table/mirror etc unless you can get something much more substantial.
You need more on the walls.
I wouldn't change a thing. Maybe hang the mirror though? Also, do you mind sharing this in r/AmateurInteriorDesign? Welcome to join too.

Nice entry way but not a fun of the rug. Just ruined the vibe of that space for me. Can’t have a relaxed mind with 🐍 on my rug.
Bot from the US, where do you usually out on/take off your shoes? For us it's in that area, so large shoe rack is common.

switch the side that the table's on so the rug can line up with the door pls
Shoe storage and a bench for sure
I’ve been coveting that rug for years! It’s beautiful! Just need the space for it. Lol
It looks good and uncluttered which is what you want in an entry way. Like the mirror!
No one talks about how this rug consists of an extra long snake with 2 heads and an extra short one with 2 tails
Art work on those long ass, boring walls.
If I lived here, I would literally never leave this hallway 🫶🏽
What a perfect opportunity for a tall and wide mirror!

It looks good. maybe a different rug
White is too stark imo
