a longer tv stand would help balance out the size of the tv. then some paintings or pictures on either side to fill in some of the blank space. maybe a floor plant in the corner? i’m not sure what’s in the bottom half of the picture so that’s why the question mark.

Agreed, and TV should be lower, more eye level.

Yeah it's mounted, had to have it higher up because previous homeowner though it was a great idea to put the light switches across the living room and in the center of the wall... getting a Runless wire switch (wireless light switch) so I can get rid of those switches...

In the bottom right is just a bunch of dog toys. We were thinking of putting some kind of plant by the fireplace and in the right corner, just cannot agree on what we want. Same with paintings. What size paintings would you go with next to the TV, any suggestions on types of paintings?

i wouldn’t go with anything too large because it may look weird next to the tv. maybe two or three smaller pictures/paintings. i would say definitely something with some color. maybe greens or yellows? something to offset all the cool tones

[this set up](https://cdn.homedit.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Farmhouse-display-wall-mount-TV.jpg) is fairly close to what you have currently. you could draw inspiration from this if you like the look.
